This 1929 Majestic 72 Louis XVI radio by Grigsby-Grunlow Co. was a bit out of tune... Now, this nearly century-old antique is a truly one-of-a-kind statement piece. Would be an amazing gift. :) I hand painted the design in gold and three shades of green, added a stunning Art Deco wallpaper, mirrored back, gold glass racks, tempered glass shelves, and lighting to make this perfect for storing and entertaining. When I saw this old nineteen something radio console many passed by, because she really looked beyond restoration. I saw a wine cabinet. Wine bottles would store nicely on the sides of the cabinet with the addition of some shelves. It was a nice size only 15 inches deep and if you would remove the fabric that hide the speakers and have some great shelving. The radio faceplate would be a fun conversation starter and add a bit of sparkle to her look.

Last year a neighbor, who was moving, gave me this vintage radio cabinet. The guts had been removed before she purchased it, but she had plans to use it as a decorative shelf/cabinet. She never had the time, so she gifted the piece to me (thank you Karen!). And as well all know, kids/work/home/life can take over, and the neglected radio cabinet sat in my garage for nearly 6 months before I finally put some paint on her! But here she is all prettied up! I painted her with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Provence, and sealed with clear soft wax. Dark wax gave it some aging, while fresh fabric now livens up the area where the speaker used to be. I also stripped and restained the top in a dark walnut, and wiped on some poly for protection. Wouldn't it be a great conversation piece in your entertainment area/basement? The back is open, and there's a piece of wood inside that would work as a shelf for your I-Pod dock. You could hide your player inside and little would anyone know that the music coming out is from your I-Pod! Ahh, it would be a marriage of today's technology with yesteryear's beauty!
An outstanding Ingraham designed cabinet. This radio is the Emerson model BJ214. This is a rather uncommon table radio with a unique design using the finest quality wood. The radio retains it's original finish and decals! This is a 5 tube radio with AM and Police bands reception. The chassis has been reviewed by a professional who has replaced all capacitors and any components such as tubes and resistors that had failed or tested weak. New power cord. Original knobs. New crystal clear dial cover. The radio has nice sensitivity. Just an impressive design that has made this model extremely desirable with collectors. FREE Shipping! The radio measures 13"L x 8"H x 9"W. We ship only to addresses in the United States. FREE SHIPPING!
1938 RCA Radio Wine Bar: I picked this 1938 RCA model 811k on CL for under $100. To me, when buying these old radios for a conversion, the challenge is to get as much functional use out of them while maintaining the original look of a functional radio.
Any clock radio can wake you up, but only the Model Three BT does so simply, elegantly, and in high-fidelity sound. And with Bluetooth wireless technology on board, you can stream before you dream. The constant gentle illumination makes the clock face visible in low or no light without keeping you awake. The sensitive AM/FM tuner, easy-to-use alarm and sleep function, and beautiful natural wood cabinet, make the Model Three BT an ideal clock radio for your bedside table.
Is it Happy Hour yet? Just kidding! I shouldn't drink when I'm DIYing! But check this out... This old 1930's Sears Roebuck, AM...
