By Lyon, France-based artist Me & Edward. “ Just like a chameleon, it’s fitting, just like a virus, it’s mutating, just like a personality, it’s changing.”

On the occasion of her solo exhibition in Turin, we interviewed Sandy Skoglund, the American artist who, together with Jeff Wall and Cindy Sherman, is the creator of staged photography.
Chicago-based artist Rosemary Holliday Hall envisions transformation through Encyclia Imagosis, a sculptural series that brings the physical processes of insect metamorphosis to a human scale. The four artworks consist of oxidized fabric stretched across metal structures, creating a translucent form that highlights the spacious shape of the wireframe. Similar to insect chrysalises, the meshy works serve as a symbolic site for change. “Encyclia Imagosis investigates various ways we make sense of the world and relate to ourselves and others through imagination, metaphor, and material,” the artist writes. A collection composed of structural tailored pieces juxtaposed with organic drape, an asymmetrical aesthetic deconstructed through free spirited print and fabric manipulation.
+2 in comments. Part of my "Scanography" series. An ongoing series of images made using a scanner. Shot yesterday. I gave my exhibition submissions in today and the people there seemed quite positive when they first saw them. Hopefully the judges will agree! In other news, I've recently been published in an issue of Amateur Photographer Magazine. No idea what issue nor what for nor what image but I was sent an appraisal and a gift card so yay me. I checked the most recent issue and it doesnt seem to be that one. Anyone who's subscribed to AP, can you please check the issue before the latest for me to see if any of my images are in it? Would be VERY much appreciated! Or anyone who's been published in there before, do you know how long it takes for them to send prizes? (so I have a rough idea of which issue I was in or will be in) I reached 450,000 views a few days ago so major thanks to everyone who's gotten me there! Next step, 500,000!!
The Metamorphosis - 2007 Throughout the years I’ve seen these creepy, but amazing images on Tumblrs and various blogs but I never knew who the artist was. Coilhouse recently did a post on these human-animal hybrid x-rays and they’re by Italian artist Benedetta Bonichi. Check out the rest of Benedetta Bonichi’s work on her website To See in the Dark.
