January 1953, the Rangerettes in Washington DC for the inauguration of Dwight D. Eisenhower. Evening of January 19, 1953, the Rangerettes performed in the inaugural festivities. They were introduced by actor John Wayne, who symbolized and communicated American values and ideals. He bragged on the Rangerettes during the festivities and this incredible picture shows their mutual admiration. What a treasure!
It was my hope as the Rette photographer to capture images that were rarely seen.
