Chernobyl's nuclear disaster took place on April 26, 1986 — almost 25 years ago — so you might be interested in this photo. I took it on April 17, 2006, at the Chernobyl Visitor's Center, which is located a few hundred yards from the nuclear power plant. I visited Chernobyl as a side trip to the…

Arc Reactor - Free download as PDF File (.pdf), Text File (.txt) or read online for free. The document proposes that the Stark Arc Reactor is powered by a Multi-Isotope Radio-Decay Cell that utilizes the radioactive decay of palladium isotopes Pd-103 and Pd-107. Electrons are emitted from the decay of Pd-107 in the core and captured by ionized Pd-103 in the outer ring, producing gamma rays. This electron/gamma ray flow generates a large electrostatic potential difference to power the suit. The blue glow is likely from Cherenkov radiation caused by the high-energy electron flux.
I have a vague memory of seeing a plastic model of an atomic or nuclear reactor. Seems like it was in a fairly large flat box (at least compared to other rocket/airplane models of the day). On the inside I remember the p…
