In October of 1892 the Dalton Gang tried to rob two banks simultaneously in Coffeyville, Kansas. It was the last day on earth for four of the robbers as the citizens reacted with accurate rifle fire. The bandits horses were tied too far away and, as they ran down an alley just across the street, it was a duck shoot for the defenders. The other bank was torn down, but this bank still stands. The Museum has the vault doors and shot up front door from that day.

This amazing craft was called an Ekranoplane, and five were built in all, with one rebuilt and a further serie of two more. The serie was started in 1972, and the last, S-26 completed in 1980. They were wing-in-ground effect vehicles ressembling planes but classes as ships. The ORLYONOK "Eaglet" was able to carry two to three armoured vehicles and 200 marines and their equipment on any beach at 400 kph over 1500 km.
