This listing is currently available and ready to ship! These ceramic tumblers / stemless wine glasses were handcrafted on the potter's wheel, using a high quality stoneware clay that mimics porcelain. Craftsmanship is my primary focus, as I want to create long lasting functional artworks that spark joy with every use. Each large tumbler holds approximately 14-16 ounces, and is 4.25” high by 3” wide at the widest part of the rim. Perfect for wine (think stemless wine glass), water, tea, or even ice cream! The inside of the tumbler as well as each square is hand glazed, while the rim and checkered lines are left bare - exposing the raw clay. They are available in a wide range of colors (white, pink, periwinkle, yellow, and grey), and pair perfectly with the pour over coffee dripper! All tableware is food and dishwasher safe!* Please note that while all pieces are as close to identical as possible, they of course have slight variations in size, glazing (i.e. drips, speckles, color gradients) etc. All are imperfectly “perfect”. :) *While all tableware is food and dishwasher safe, they are handcrafted wares. That said, washing by hand is the safest option as it will prevent potential warping, and ultimately extend the life of your pottery.

Fabulously funky 1960s iconic retro studio pottery large vase by Scheurich Pottery, West Germany. About Scheurich Pottery: Scheurich Keramik started production in 1954, which was quite late compared to other West German pottery companies. In 1927 Alois Scheurich jointly established a company named “Scheurich and Greulich” (S&G) S&G distributed ceramic and glass items. The success of S&G allowed Alois Scheurich to establish his own ceramics factory in Kleinheubach in 1954. The Scheurich company became one of the largest manufacturers of ceramics in Germany from the 1950s to the 1980s. The designer Heinz Siery is responsible for many of the forms which Scheurich produced. Scheurich became the largest producer of commercial art pottery in Germany. Unlike many of its competitors, it is still trading to this day. Early Mid century Scheurich ceramic items are becoming very collectable. About the vase: Fantastic design with a funky textured abstract pattern. Groovy dark mustard yellow and brown colour. Stunning iconic geometric pattern 🌻🌻 Rare and sought after Mid-Century - 1960s design. 😎 Scheurich markers mark on body of vase and on base.
