Welke kleuren bepalen straks het straatbeeld? En hoe vertalen deze kleuren zich in fashion, food en design? Trendforecaster Hilde Francq (Francq Colors Trend Agency) presenteerde ons het kleurenpalet najaar/winter 2016/2017. We zetten de ‘main issues’ nog eens voor je op een rijtje. Of je nu een kleurvolger of –pionier bent, deze trends ga je zeker tegenkomen! Gothic is terug: MYSTERY Cijfers, prestaties, efficiëntie... de maatschappij anno nu stelt ons torenhoge eisen. Om hieraan te ontsnappen vluchten we in thema’s als romantiek en fantasy: escapisme is in 2017 helemaal terug. Zwarte nagels, gothic eyes en donkere interieurstijlen, maar ook bloemige taferelen, poëzie, linten en kant: de Scandi-style heeft zijn beste tijd wel gehad. Kleuren binnen dit thema: zwart, antraciet en veel paars. Het liefst lekker over de top. En oh ja, dark food wordt het helemaal! Rijk aan anti-oxidanten en eigenlijk best onderscheidend toch? Zo’n black wedding cake. Beelden: Francq Colors, Lina Kay, VT Wonen Let’s get nude: ANATOMY We zijn meer met ons lichaam bezig dan ooit. Sport en gezondheid worden steeds belangrijker. Dit vertaalt zich naar sportieve maar comfortabele wearables als yogabroeken en leggings, nude fabrics en leer en anatomische vormen. Het kleurenpalet laat veel nude en bloedrood zien, naast contrasterende ‘technologische’ kleuren zoals jeansblauw. Kleding wordt een verlengstuk van ons lichaam. En dat geldt zeker ook voor ons schoeisel. Een mooi paar nude pumps, bijvoorbeeld uit de Nude Collection van Christian Louboutin mag dan ook niet ontbreken in je collectie! Beeld: Hello Experimenteer erop los: CROSS Grenzen vervagen, afstanden worden korter. Het zorgt voor een toenemende uitwisseling van ‘cultureel DNA’ waardoor we experimenteren met de eigen identiteit. Het gaat niet langer over he or she, maar om ME. We mixen en atchen erop los en spelen onbegrensd met codes. Alles kan, zo lijkt het. En dat leidt tot ongebruikelijke combi’s in onze kledingstijl, eetpatronen en interieur. “There are no rules in fashion” aldus Alexander McQueen. Ben jezelf: durf te doen! Die boyfriend jeans blijft dus nog wel even hip. Kleuren binnen deze trend zijn vooral warm en organisch. Goud en oranje voeren de boventoon, veelal gecombineerd met blauw. Beeld: Pinterest Als het maar nerdy is: KNOWCORE Klassieke statussymbolen zijn hun betekenis aan het verliezen. Dure, zeldzame spullen: het zegt ons weinig tot niets meer in 2017. Veel belangrijker vinden we kennis, ervaring en vaardigheden. It’s all about skills! Intellect is sexy, boeken komen weer terug. Het Book & Bed hotel in Tokyo speelt alvast in op de trend. Dus mocht je in de buurt zijn… De bibliotheek is een inspiratiebron voor het mode- en interieurbeeld. Home offices, kantoormeubelen, ‘Nerd Art’, visgraat, geruite patronen, kabeltruien en jawel: de krijtstreep is back! Het kleurenpalet kent veel beige en roze tinten, gecombineerd met academische kleuren als groen en blauw. Bruin wordt dé kleur van 2017. Beeld: onekingslane.com Balancerend op de grens met kitsch: COLLAGE De collage-trend is de ultieme reactie op de wegwerpmaatschappij. DIY is hot! En dat leidt vaak tot maffe combinaties. Soms balancerend op de grens met kitsch, maar dat geeft niet: het proces, de fun van het maken is belangrijker dan het resultaat. In het straatbeeld vertaalt zich dat naar grafische effecten, felle en uitbundige kleuren en synthetische materialen als plastic en lycra. Ook ‘funny marketing’ - verpak het met een grapje- wordt helemaal hip. Beeld: Francq Colors Oer is in: SOURCE Back to our roots! We gaan steeds meer op zoek naar authenticiteit en halen daarbij inspiratie uit alles wat ‘oer’ is: oermaterialen, oervoedsel, oerkleding. Of het nu over mode, design of food gaat: archeologie wordt dé inspiratiebron voor de komende jaren. Herkomst is een belangrijk thema. Weg met de plofkip, biologisch is hipper dan ooit. Voedselverspilling is not done, ‘zero-waste’ is het nieuwe credo. Neem eens een kijkje op het online platform Foodsharing: kliekje over? Gooi het online! In het modebeeld: natuurlijke kleuren, structuren en materialen. Craquelé, nepbont, breisels, flanel, zachte textielen en houtstructuren. Op de catwalk springt met name de Eskimo-look in het oog. Ontwerpduo Dsquared2 laat zien hoe we dit vertalen naar onze kledingkast. Beeld: Vogue Op zoek naar houvast: EDGE Onze omgeving wordt steeds minder materieel: software vervangt onze boeken, agenda’s en horloges. We verliezen letterlijk grip. Dit maakt dat we op zoek gaan naar houvast en geborgenheid. In de mode, design en architectuur zien we dit terug in het gebruik van sculpturale, zware stoffen en materialen, geplooid of in geometrische vormen. Robuust, degelijk, beschermend. Het brutalisme is terug van weggeweest. Dit uit zich in veelvuldig gebruik van high tech materialen gecombineerd met beton, hout en glas, uitgevoerd in zware hoekige vormen met scherpe randen en lijnenspellen.
