If you could use some fierceness this morning, then here it is: The updo and makeup look Rooney Mara wore out to the premiere of her new movie with Cate Blanchett, Carol. Clearly she was sent to the red carpet by the angels because this level of specialness doesn't come without divine intervention. And now we're going to go over it in excessive detail. She wore a deep, smudgy eggplant smoky eye that made her light eyes glow as if they had actual little lamps in them as well as a looped-up braid with an extra-cool touch: It was tied off with a length of metallic string.
