Hello 2Crafty fans! Happy new year to all! I hope your new year celebrations were amazing! I sure had a great time taking some time off with my family. Off course I took the opportunity to do a lot of crafting! Today I'm sharing a layout I prepared with a picture we took on new years eve. "Moment" On the "Decorative Doily" behind the picture, I applied burgundy embossing powder. For the "Mini Foliage Flourish", I applied some diluted teal paint and then inked the border with brown. On the "Berry Vine Set", I applied a shimmering green/gold paint and inked the border with brown ink. For the title, "Moment loopy font", I applied a vintage gold wax with my fingers very roughly. Then, I rougly applied brown ink on top. In this layout, I used the following 2Crafty chipboards Decorative Doily [M00818] Mini Foliage Flourish [M00800] Berry Vines Set [M00805] Moment Loopy Font [W00255] That's all for me today! I'll be back soon with more ideas to share with you guys! Until then, happy new year again, may the year fill you with love, joy, health and craft supplies!

Hello 2Crafty fans! I hope everybody is well and holding up in these very special times. On my side, my family and I are adjusting alright and we do consider ourselves lucky to be together and healthy. We're taking plenty of time to learn new crafts, discover new hobbies and realize lots of experiments with our kids. It's also our very first homeschooling experiment and they seem to enjoy it so far. Today, I'm presenting you a layout I made this week after we went outside on a sunny day for a bit of exercise (we're allowed to go outside for exercise as long as we stay at least 2m from people living outside our home). I've also prepared a video to show the various techniques I used to prepare the elements in my layout: "Grateful" For the "6" Mandala 1", I applied a coat of black gesso then used my finger to apply a purple wax. Then I used an embossing tool to dry it. With the "Leafy Silhouettes", I used a teal metallic paint and traced the borders with black ink. On the "Lace Heart Frame", I used a black sandy embossing powder and then dabbed some yellow embossing ink on top. For the title, "Grateful script", I used metallic red paint. I used the following 2Crafty chipboards in this layout: 6" Mandala No.1 [M00790] Leafy Silhouette [M00498] Lace Heart Frame [FR0087] Grateful -Script [W00510] That's all for me today! I hope you've enjoyed this and I'll be back soon with more inspiration to share with you. Until then, stay safe!

Hello Everyone, and Welcome! Here I am! Are you surprised? I must apologize to everyone, I truly thought that I would have the time to create some personal Stampin' Up projects while teaching classes at the studio. Turns out that I have been busier than anticipated. I have really missed coming to this blog to post and share. However, I have wanted for quite a while to create Christmas cards using the Bethlehem Edglets, and finally have had the chance to do so. I was inspired by a card creation I saw on Pinterest (could find the link to who created it) who used this die set, and the Star of Night stamp set. I had to be creative as I do not have the 'Star of Night' stamp set. But I do like mixed media, and happen to have stencils and paste that would take the place of the stamp set and add some texture to the card at the same time. When deciding on the number of cards to make, I decided that a dozen would be good, as I wanted to make other card designs using this die set for this Christmas. So here they are! The sentiment stamp you see is not Stampin' Up, as most of my Stampin' Up product is in storage and has been for a little over a year now. Here is what the card looks like. I do not know if you can tell from the photo, but the smaller die cut star is cut from the 6 x 6 pack of glitter paper. The larger star is just Whisper White. If you see some glitter on the white stencilled paste, that is because I put it there after the paste dried. I sure like the layered look of the Bethlehem scene. This is a die set I will keep for a long time. I am sure many of you that follow this blog, may have had this set for a while, but for me this is the first time I had a chance to use it. I plan on making a few more cards with this die set, so see you soon! It was wonderful to post here again with some Stampin' Up product! Happy creating everyone!

Over the next few days I will be showing you cards created from the same stamp set. OK, I'm still working on a couple of other larger projects, and of course it takes longer to complete these things than one thinks it will. I ran out of colour ink for my printer a couple of times, and editing photos takes awhile too. Compiling instructions doesn't happen with a blink of an eye either, no matter how much I wish it could. And life sometimes gets in the way too, lol! When my Wetlands stamp set finally arrived last Thursday, and with that being the stamp for the class in the first week in September, I stopped working on the projects, and spent an entire day from 6:30am till 12;00pm working on 11 cards! Now of course I can't use all of them for the class, and I can't take credit for their designs either. I did make tiny changes, but you can find them all on Pinterest. With my mind on the projects, it was taking too long to come up with ideas for originals. I just couldn't focus on the cards like I usually can. So I cased them for the class. Now all I need to do is to decide which of them to include for the class, or if I should have two different classes using the same stamp set. Happy to hear your opinions on the matter. Let's see... which one to show you first. How about we start from the easiest and go to the more involved cards. For this image I used the Mossy Meadow and blackberry Bliss Stampin' Write Markers. This is a clean and simple (CAS) card. A great one for mass producing gift sets for Christmas gifts! And as always, a side view. It's fun to do a little something on the inside. I used the same markers on the same stamp, for the inside of the card. Using the markers on stamps is such a fun technique! Looking forward to showing you more cards created with this versatile and lovely stamp set. Perhaps I will show you two at a time after this. Thanks for checking in and having a peek. Oh, I almost forget...I cased this card created by Jen Nelson from thebluebutterfly.blogspot.com Happy Stamping! Today I am showing you the instructions for a birthday gift I made for my Mom. Her health is not what it used to be, and she can't go to her beloved Butchart Gardens any longer. So I decided to create a little something that would bring them to her. I created a simple Tall & Skinny Folio filled with photos of the lovely gardens. Here are some photos of the project. There are 52 photos in this folio, and I managed that by printing most of the photos as wallet sized, punching many of them in 2" circles. For the photos on the little square envelope pockets, they were printed as 3 1/3" x 5 1/2" photos and cut down. There are three panoramic photos that where printed at 7" wide. This tall & Skinny Flip Folio would be great to make and give to family and friends for their Christmas photos, just change the designer paper that you use. As many occasions as you can think would make this project a great display and memory keeper. I hope that you will have fun making many of these fun folios! $15.00 Happy Creating!
Hello everyone! Hope your week is off to a good start. Today I'm continuing with the the Thoughtful Branches Bundle and showing you a card that uses more of the coordinating die set (Beautiful Branches) with the stamp set. You have the option of purchasing this as a bundle (which I recommend) or as individual items. This Hydrangea was first stamped using both the Blushing Bride & Calypso Coral inks. I took the large 'F' Clear Stamping Block and with my Blushing Bride ink pad pressed the ink pad onto the center of the block. Then I added four or five random tiny little drops of Calypso Coral ink refiller. Using the mister filled with water, I then misted the inks on the clear block. Taking the stamp I inked it from the clear block and gently stamped it onto my cardstock. When dried I then die cut it and used the wonder Die Brush to remove it from the intricate die. I repeated this step by stamping onto my card to create a background peek-a-boo. I used this technique with the three background leaves as well. Love the die cut stem & leaves. You can of course cut off the die cut leaves and use them as embellishment as I did for the first Christmas card I created with this bundle and my bunch of Thank You cards. In this side view, below, you can better see that I stamped another Hydrangea underneath the die cut one. A tip to help you with popping up the die cut stem & leaves is to cut narrow strips of Dimensionals for the stem, and to roll mini glue dots with your paper piercer for the intricate leaves. You will require two rolled glue dots stacked to achieve the same height as the Dimensionals. On the inside, I stamped just a portion of the Hydrangea and leaves. Hope that you are inspired to get this bundle in August, so that you too can have a lot of fun playing with all the many creative possibilities with this set. A reminder that there are only four more days left to take advantage of getting your Bonus Coupons to spend in August. The more coupons you have, the less this bundle will cost you! Attending a VanIsle Stampin' Up Meeting today and participating in a Birthday Card Exchange. Only current things are to be used in the making of this card, but I forgot that this Lost Lagoon ribbon is no longer available. I found out after making them and ran out not having enough to make a bow for all of the cards. So I immediately went to put it onto my next order, and that's when I learned they were all out and it was no longer available. I love this ribbon and colour! What to do? I used Silver Metal buttons on the last three cards. The next photo shows you a closer look with a single card. The DSP is a Sale-A-Bration special which will end this month. So if you like this paper, or want to get more, you can get it for free with a $60 order before March 31. I opted to used the flowers from the "Number of Years" stamp set rather than the flowers of the Flowering Fields set because it is solid stamp and not just the floral outline. But, I used the same colours and in the DSP (see below in the materials used). The above side view shows only one popped up layer. And below you see the inside. When I return form my meeting, in the next day or so, I'll share with you the cards that I received at the exchange. Happy Stamping everyone! Hello 2Crafty friends! I hope everyone is doing great! Today I'm sharing a layout featuring my two besties in a picture taken back in simpler, pre-pandemic times. I can't wait to meet them again in a few days, as restrictions are being slowly lifted. "Memories" For the "Weeping Vine", I used ivory embossing enamel. On the "Polaroid Frames", I stamped a pattern with some embossing powder and then rubbed some black ink very roughly on top. For the title, "memories", part of the "Line Words - Goodtimes Borders", I used two coats of jade-teal embossing powder. I used the following 2Crafty chipboards in this layout: Weeping Vine [m00648] Polaroid Frames [m00391] Line Words - Goodtimes Borders [db0096] That's all for me today! I hope you enjoyed this layout and that it gave you some inspiration for your creations! I'll be back in a few weeks with more ideas to share with you!
How many challenges can a person enter in little over a week? GDP 26 has some lovely inspiration this week for their sketch. Check it out. I have three favorites, but Michelle Last's card really popped, and couldn't resist casing it for this sketch challenge. I guess with all the soft colours I've been working on lately, a punch of bright colours really appealed to me. Makes me think of the Caribbean/Hawaiian tropical feel. Who wants to be there right now? I've never been but have heard it is absolutely wonderful! To achieve the criss-cross of lines for the embossing, once I embossed the Bermuda Bay, I flipped it over and embossed it again! I chose to then die cut the Deco Label Die because I wanted the embossed frame you get when you die-cut. The yellow blossom was created with four layers of the large floral center in the Botanical Builder die set. The next photo shows a bit of a side view so that you can see the layering. This would be great for an invite to a Hawaiian themed party/Luau! Thank you for stopping by to have a look today. I'm hoping to have new cards for you, using another bundle, in the next day or two. In the meantime don't forget to check out the design team and participant inspiration at GDP#26. Happy Creating!
