PR SAMPLES Hiya Lovelies! I have Sally Hansen's newest curated collection, Travel In Colour to share with you today! This collection was inspired by the vibrancy of California and liveliness of Summer music festivals. These shades have me so excited for warmer weather, pretty dresses, sandals, shades and bright nails! First up is the absolutely stunning Orchid-ing Aside. I have wanted this polish for months now, so I was so happy to see it a part of this collection! It is a sweet, orchid-pink, you know that kind of pink that is a bit milky with purple undertones. So dreamy! The formula was super easy to work with, I used two coats for my swatches. Sugar Fix is a fabulous soft-yet-bright periwinkle blue. This is my kind of blue! The formula was perfect, two easy coats. Little Peony is a delicate milky pink. The formula was fine, I needed 3 coats to even out a few streaks. In the Sheer is a sheer pinky-nude. I used 3 coats to build up the opacity a bit. Lilac Insomniac is bright and beautiful dark lilac cream. I love how bright and beautiful this one is. The formula was amazing, you can get away with one coat! I used two for my swatches as my camera picks up every little flaw because I shoot so close up. In real life, this polish is so saturated with colour that you only need one coat. Frill Seeker is a deep nude with peach undertones. This shade reminds me of foundation! I wore this one over the weekend and really loved it, it was a palette cleanser! Sweet Tea is a lovely, peachy-nude. The formula was great, I used two coats for my swatch. Does the Travel In Colour collection have you excited for Summer? We've had a very dreary Spring so far in Southern BC, I'm ready for warmer weather! You can find Sally Hansen at London Drugs, Superstores and Shoppers Drug Marts across Canada. Have a great day lovelies! Anne xo

You Asked For It - Glitter Spam Thursday, April 12, 2012 The results of the last poll are in! It was a tie, folks wanted to see glitter and matte. The neat thing about writing this blog is that I get to have the final say, so I picked glitter. Don't worry, you'll see matte spam real soon! I took the following pictures in many different lighting scenarios, to best capture the glitter. Hard Candy Break Up over Sally Hansen Thinking of Blue (dark blue creme). I love how these hex glitter particles change color. There's also incredibly fine silver glitter mixed in. I would have liked it more if it wasn't there, to be honest. Color Club Untamed Luxury. A teal that leans more green base, with glitter that is actually silvery and holographic, but looks teal because of the jelly base. Top coat hungry! Sally Hansen Night Lights. Fine holographic glitter suspended in a sheer charcoal base. By itself, the glitter looks sort of murky in the charcoal base, but layered over a black creme (as shown here) it really pops. Rimmel Eccentricity over American Apparel Imperial Purple Rimmel Eccentricity over Sally Hansen Sequin Scandal Rimmel Eccentricity. Possibly my favorite glitter ever. So great, it gets two pictures. This polish was LE from a long time ago, and I only recently acquired it from eBay. I'm so glad I did! It's a mix of fine copper and small hex holographic glitter. The combination is absolutely amazing! It's truly a crime that a polish like this could be LE. Nearly every brand has one. A red jelly base, with matching red fine glitter. This is Sally Hansen Red Carpet. L.A. Girl Rockstar Supernova. This was my first hairy bar glitter! Holographic, in a sheer charcoal base. Again, here I've worn it over black. Revlon Facets of Fuchsia. One of my favorite purchases from 2011. I was so glad when Revlon came out with a passable dupe for Deborah Lippman's Bad Romance. Here, I've worn one coat over black creme. Color Club Red Velvet. Another favorite. So simple, red glitter in a black base, but somehow it never gets old for me. Vampy and elegant. I hope you've enjoyed this little edition of spam! Trust me, I've got plenty more glitters to show you... eventually. In the mean time, why don't you vote for the next edition of nail polish spam? Vote in the poll located on the upper left hand corner of the page! 2 comments Nails, Swatches Share it: Nails, Swatches 2 comments Share it: Nails, Swatches 2 comments Share it:
Hi everybody! I am in the state of California for the first time in my life and I like it! It sunny, warm but not hot, and actually not too humid. My skin loves the sun! It's been missing it for months now. I've got a few minutes before dinner so I thought I'd get this post up. The major color in this is Sally Hansen CSM Trouble Maker. It's a nice dark plummy grape color without being so dark that it looks black. The formula was great. This is two coats. I love the paddle brush that comes with this line. The brush with the formula gives me a great line at the cuticle with very minimal clean up. It doesn't drag because of being too stiff. The accent nail is done with Savina Dolphins. It's a brand I've found at Nordstrom Rack. It's a medium grey polish that dried to a rubbery matte finish. I've already topcoated it here but I need to wear it alone someday to see if I like that finish. The stamp came from Cheeky XL plate E. This picture was taken after I took the accent nail off and repainted it in preparation for something else. You can see the scratches on the older paint! What did I do next? That's for the next post!

Sally Hansen have introduced nine new luxurious nail shades to the Color Therapy* range. *Color Therapy blends saturated colour and a nourishing complex of natural Argan, Acai, and Evening Primrose Oil to condition weak, dry nails. - the Color Therapy nail polish and top coat contain a patented micro-delivery system that delivers an Argan Oil-enriched formula, resulting in intensive nourishment and instant moisture, for healthier looking nails - It's the ultimate nail therapy! Enjoy the ultimate nail therapy in three easy steps with Sally Hansen Color Therapy. Here's how it works - STEP 1: NAIL COLOUR Apply two thin coats of a Color Therapy Nail Colour of your choice to clean, dry nails; ensuring each coat is completely dry before applying the next coat. *No need for base coat! For full benefit, let the oil complex in the nail colour make direct contact to the bare nail. This will allow the nourishing oils to diffuse into the nail plate; providing simultaneous colour and care. STEP 2: TOP COAT Apply a thin coat of the Color Therapy Top Coat (when the nail colour is completely dry) to add a glossy shine and extend polish wear. STEP 3: NAIL & CUTICLE OIL Finish by applying some Color Therapy Nail & Cuticle Oil to nails and cuticles for an instantly healthier, restored, and rejuvenated look. I have 8 of the new Sally Hansen Color Therapy nail shades to review for you today :) RE-NUDE Re-nude is a nice nude nail polish shade. The formula of this one is kind of crelly-like and sheer, and applies slightly unevenly and patchy. It is still easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail nonetheless. It builds up to full opacity nice and easily in two - three thin coats. SUNRISE SALUTATION Sunrise Salutation is a deeper nude nail polish shade. The formula is fantastic! The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail. It isn't streaky or patchy and self-levels well. It covers really well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in one - two thin coats. BURNISHED BRONZE Burnished Bronze is a stunning bronze - copper nail polish shade. I love this one! Very trendy! The formula is fantastic! The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail. It applies evenly and self-levels well. It covers really well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in one - two thin coats. Minor brush strokes* are slightly evident when this is applied, so I highly recommend using the three-stroke-method of application to limit the appearance / amount of visible brush strokes. *the brush strokes are hardly noticeable! WINE THERAPY Wine Therapy is a deep red wine colour with gold shimmer scattered throughout it. The combination of the saturated red and vibrant gold shimmer is so pretty, my swatch really does no justice! The formula is perfect! The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail. It isn't streaky or patchy and self-levels well. It's pigmented, covers well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in one - two thin coats. STEELY SERENE Steely Serene is a neutral taupe nail polish shade. A very flattering neutral I'm sure will appeal to many. The formula is great! The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail. It isn't streaky or patchy and self-levels well. It covers well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in two thin coats. IN MY ELEMENT In My Element is a gunmetal / silver nail polish shade. Love!! I wore this the other day and added a shimmery holographic top coat - it looked even more amazing! The formula is fantastic! The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail. It isn't streaky or patchy and self-levels well. It covers really well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in one - two thin coats. Minor brush strokes* are slightly evident when this is applied, so I highly recommend using the three-stroke-method of application to limit the appearance / amount of visible brush strokes. *the brush strokes are hardly noticeable! UNWINE'D Unwine'd is a deep Bordeaux red nail polish shade. It's such a "sexy" shade of red ;) The formula is fantatsic. The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail. It isn't streaky or patchy and self-levels well. It's extremely pigmented, covers really well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in one thin coat! PLUM EUPHORIA Plum Euphoria is a purple metallic multi-chrome nail polish shade. I cannot begin to explain how excited I was when I saw this nail polish. The multi-chrome effect (it shifts from purple - blue - green) looks magical in the bottle. I just wish the amazing effect translated more strongly to the nail. The multi-chrome effect is only (barely) noticeable at certain angles. It is still a super pretty purple though and I like it a lot. The formula is great! The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail. It isn't streaky or patchy and self-levels well. It covers well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in two thin coats. * * * I have featured the Color Therapy range on here before and can genuinely say it is by far my favourite range by Sally Hansen. The Color Therapy nail polishes I have tried in the past have had generally fantastic formulas that apply effortlessly onto the nail, are easily opaque, and dry super quickly and glossy - these new polishes are no different! I really quite enjoyed the beautifully saturated autumnal colour palette of these new Color Therapy polishes. I also love that the Color Therapy polishes have the same amazing signature wide flat brush Sally Hansen's Complete Salon Manicure & Miracle Gel line have; making the polish so easy to work with and application using the three-stroke method a breeze. I have worn these without base coat, as Sally Hansen have suggested, and can honestly say that the general appearance of my nail beds has improved. Also, I quite enjoy the way the polish feels on my nails - it actually DOES feel moisturising and nourishing just like when applying moisturising hand cream. I really love the idea of being able to wear beautiful polish that simultaneously cares for my nails. Sally Hansen claim the Color Therapy system should last for up to 10 days on the nail. I did not wear these polishes for the full 10 days to test the claim, but I did have a few of them on for a full week / 7 days. The polish wears pretty well. The polish only suffered some tip wear (which is to be expected). Other then that, I had no major chips, and the glossiness of the polish did not dull at all. Really impressed! My personal favourites of these new Color Therapy shades are; "Burnished Bronze","Wine Therapy", "In My Element" & "Plum Euphoria". Treat your tips to a nourishing manicure with Sally Hansen Color Therapy! * * * RRP: $16.95 each (AUD) Available at Priceline, Target, Chemist Warehouse and Select Pharmacies nationally (Australia). PR SMAPLES Hello Lovelies! I get to share the new Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Red/esign Collection with you today. There are nine beautiful red toned polishes, five of which are new shades. The Complete Salon Manicure shades provide up to 10 days of chip-resistant wear thanks to their keratin complex formula! Which one is YOUR perfect red? First up is Cherry Delightful, a new universal shade of red that looks great on every skin tone. Perfect formula, two easy coats. Warm Regards is an orange-toned red with a jelly formula. I used two coats for my swatch. Red My Lips is pink-toned red cream. Two perfect coats. Red-Handed is a new shade, a very saturated rich red cream. Two easy coats. Red Over Heels is a rich, deep red cream. Two perfect coats. Oh So Lava-ly is a new shade, a rich red cream with beautiful pink and orange shimmer that really show up on the nail. This beauty was so saturated, it was almost a one coater. I did two to add extra depth with that shimmer. Society Ruler is a stunning burgundy red cream. This one is so saturated, you can get away with one coat if you apply carefully! Berry Fancy is a lovely berry toned red cream. It is one of the new shades. There is a slight white shimmer in this beauty, but it doesn't show up well on the nail. Another perfect formula, two easy coats. Belle of the Ball is a new shade and she is absolutely stunning! This beauty has a blue base with gorgeous pink and orange shimmer running throughout. Such a stunner! Two easy coats. The Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure RED/esign Collection is available now in select stores across Canada and retails for $9.95 each. Have a great day lovelies! Anne xo
