Another steampunk creation in our workshop. This lamp and all other lamps are designed and created in our "Bango Show" workshop in Athens, Greece, using certified electrical parts such as Legrand, MeanWell, Nichia, and others. By making a purchase you agree that the goods will be manufactured within approximately 21-30 working days from the date of purchase. You also need to understand that it will be slightly different from what you see in the photo since this is a handmade. Under this glass dome are vintage radio tubes illuminated by LEDs and other illuminated curious artifacts. All lights are controlled by a switch installed on the power cable to the lamp. Outside the glass dome on the lamp base, a switch / dimmer is mounted to adjust the light of a tubular vintage bulb. In the center, at the top of the lamp, there is a radiometer. A radiometer is a device for measuring the radiant flux (power) of electromagnetic radiation. A radiometer or a Crookes radiometer ("light-mill"), a device invented in 1873 in which a rotor (having vanes which are dark on one side, and light on the other) in a partial vacuum spins when exposed to light. A common belief (one originally held even by Crookes) is that the momentum of the absorbed light on the black faces makes the radiometer operate. If this were true, however, the radiometer would spin away from the non-black faces, since the photons bouncing off those faces impart more momentum than the photons absorbed on the black faces. Photons do exert radiation pressure on the faces, but those forces are dwarfed by other effects. The currently accepted explanation depends on having just the right degree of vacuum, and relates to the transfer of heat rather than the direct effect of photons. When the main tubular incandescent lamp is turned on, the radiometer blades will begin to rotate; the stronger the light intensity, the faster the radiometer blades rotate. The radiometer blades can also rotate from simple sunlight, just place the lamp close to the window. When you turn on the LEDs, they change color slowly. All you see are real materials (brass, copper, glass) that have been carefully cleaned and polished. Power Cord Length - 2 m / 78.74 inch The lamp works from the box, you don't need to buy anything else, you get everything you need to create an incredible light atmosphere in your home. Also, if you need a purchase receipt or invoice, (for example, for your business in Europe), let me know and I will definitely do it for you. All over the glass dome light bulbs, wires, power cables are not connected! It is an illusion and it is not dangerous to touch. All wiring is safely hidden at the base of the lamp. Old antique details illuminated in different colors, incredible atmosphere in the dark. No paint, No plastic, Only genuine and vintage parts. If you need other and larger photos of this lamp in order to take a closer look at all the details, I will be happy to show them to you. That was a long time ago that I started thinking about creating a penguin. For me personally they are so funny but graceful and elegant at the same time. A royal one attracted my eye. It appeared the most suitable to actualize the ides for me. The idea was born while flipping through an old motorcycle lamp corpus in my hands. That was the main part of its body, everything else was born impromptu. I didn’t try to accurately copy the body proportions, I wanted to make it funny as if it was a twill or a character of an animated movie. My imagination came true… The royal penguin respectably stands on the iceberg, looks into a very distance as if it exactly knows where to drill a hole in the ice. The main details: A head is the part of a water mixer, aluminum spoons; A body – the corps of the lamps of a motorcycle and a lorry; Legs – marine lighting lamp camps, shelf brackets; A tail – the spoons made of aluminum; An iceberg – casting of a transparent resin composition; An ice drilling machine – a ceramic tile drill hand tool. About this artwork: Classification, Techniques & Styles Aluminium Sculpture technique using aluminium, the most malleable metal with a silvery appearance. Glass Sculpture technique using a manufactured mineral substance, hard, brittle and transparent. Stainless Steel Sculpture Technique using a metallic alloy making it shiny and not very sensitive to corrosion. Surrealism Founded in 1923 by the writer André Breton, it will unite many artists like Salvador Dali (1904-1989), Max Ernst, René Magritte (1898-1967), Victor Brauner (1903-1966). Influenced by psychoanalysis, they see psychic life as a new field for renewing the arts. They will develop new ways to create and use new materials. Technic Sculpture Sculpture is an artistic activity which consists of designing and producing shapes in volume, in relief, either in the round (statuary), in high relief, in low relief, by modeling, by direct carving, by welding or assembly. The term sculpture also designates the object resulting from this activity. Related themes SteampunkSteampunk StyleSculptureMetalartTrashart View less
