New as Western Scottish L2366, WSD756K later passed to Highland Scottish, being converted as a tow wagon whilst there. Later in its life it appeared with Lothian Buses as their BD2 before sale for preservation. It has now been restored to Highland livery and offers an interesting comparison with an indigenous Highland Leopard, also with panoramic 'Y' type body alongside (L224 - CAS518W)

The Scottish Vintage Bus Museum is now the acknowledged focal point of historic bus restoration and operation in Scotland and houses, on a 49-acre site, around 170 vehicles. Most of these vehicles are of Scottish origin and are in varying levels of condition, from dilapidated to fully restored. The SVBM is run on a purely voluntary basis. Management is undertaken by the Management Group which consists of the trustees (the museum is a registered charity) plus members whom the trustees consider to be sufficiently committed to the cause. On Sundays, the main 'work-days' at the museum, most of the management group and several regulars normally work at the museum, joined by members who visit on occasion. The place is a hive of industry, with people working on their own buses, helping others, carrying out site maintenance etc. They can also help out with any specific tasks pre-planned by the Management Group. For special occasions, the total membership is contacted with requests for volunteers.

The vast Easterhouse Estate is located a long way out of Glasgow - meaning good business for bus operators (and a lot of wasted time and money for residents). Taking advantage in June 1992 were Routemasters running for Kelvin Scottish and Magicbus.

Seen on a service to Ballochgoy on 9th June 1977 is Western Scottish TCS157, or DT1709.
I don't have a date or location for this but pretty sure it is Glasgow (wrong it’s Edinburgh!) and the plate on the Austin 1100 ending in SC is a Glasgow one. Scottish Omnibuses SWS698 is a bit short of custom setting out on its 100 odd mile journey to Carlisle on the 261 service. The bus was an AEC Reliance and the chassis was new in June 1959 with a Park Royal body, it was rebodied with the Alexander C41F bodywork seen here in 1963 so we are post that date. Following behind is JSF147 working an Express service, a much older AEC (given as an RI IV on BLOTW) which was new in January 1952 and carried Alexander bodywork as well. Image from a negative in my collection by an unknown photographer.
