Hi everyone, Maija Männistö here to share a mini album created with Truly Grateful and Paige's Mini Album with Card Tags cut file - filled with photos of our recent trip to Valencia, Spain. The base of the mini album is die cut from Paper 06, with the perfect match of the detailed A side and a little more subtle B side. For the cover I created the title with the Thickers and some fussy cut flowers from the gorgeous floral Paper 02. The Mini Album with Card Tags cut file comes with four different kinds of tags to put into the pockets. I created three of each to fit as many photos into the mini album as possible. I used the 12x12 Paper Pad to cut these tags so that each of them have a white background where I can write journaling. For each tag I also attached a piece of ribbon for extra texture. For a few of the tags I wanted to add more texture and dimension so I used modeling paste with Paige’s stencils to add a little something extra on them. Creating a mini album like this with several individual pieces is super fun! You can focus on one tag at a time and just have fun with it! I used pretty much all of the embellishments that are in the Truly Grateful collection. I also really love fussy cutting elements from the patterned papers. To get more pictures on some of the tags, I actually stapled a few photos together from the top only, so that you can flip them to see more. For the next three tags I also used the super cute sentiment from the 2x2 Paper Pads and for the tag with all the food pictures I was super happy to have the cute pear from the Journaling Spots. To fit even more pictures on that tag I created the accordion that holds five photos. For the third tag I once again went with fussy cutting, this time with one of the floral papers from the 6x8 Paper Pad and the cute postage stamp from the Ephemera Die Cuts. For the last pocket I created a shaker tag and filled it with the sequins from the Mixed Embellishments, from which I also added two wood veneer flowers. To make the sequins stay on both sides of the photo I sewed a line across the tag behind the photo. Thank you so much for stopping by today, have a great day! The Queen of Mini Albums Stefanie Ried is back to share her last winter-themed project of the season! Welcome to my first project in the new year! In keeping with the season I have created a winter mini book. It's filled with pictures from 2017 in the snow. We were lucky last year and have had many snow days here in Germany for a long time. I created a hinged album with flip pages that I found on Pinterest. The title (Paige's Dashing Through the Snow cut file) I cut out of white cardstock using a Silhouette Cameo and colored it with a stamp pad. First I painted it with acrylics but I did not like that. On the back of the book, I stuck the year with sticker numbers from the Oh My Heart Sticker Book. The album is bound together with a Ribbon from the Turn the Page collection. If you open the album, there is an insert pocket on the left and the sides to open on the right. So you can accommodate many pictures. In addition, I have used more cut files (Snowflake Border / Ho Ho Ho / Snowflake Background). I cut these out of white cardstock and patterned paper. I have also included a small confetti bag in the album. I filled them with artificial snow, snowflakes, and Sequin hearts. One page consists of snowflakes. On the individual snowflakes I glued sequins. Here are more details from the album... Here you can still see how the album was created: I hope you liked my mini album and I will do my next project with Paige's new collection Pick-Me-Up! I am so excited!! Until next time :) SUPPLIES: TURN THE PAGE: 12x12 Paper Pad, Ribbon, Ephemera Die Cuts, Journaling Spots, Thickers, Chipboard Stickers, Sticker Book, Sequins; OH MY HEART: Paper 14, Paper 17, Sticker Book; Silhouette Cameo 3; Blog: steffiried.blogspot.com / Instagram: @steffiried / Pinterest: @steffiried / Facebook: stefanie.ried.96 YouTube: Steffi Ried Another mini album by Stefanie Ried that I am totally digging and want to recreate!!

Good morning, Crafters! I have a sweet, summertime tutorial for you today! If you are trapped inside with the air conditioning roaring, then it's the perfect time to whip up this little cutie! My monthly mini showcases the Authentique Summertime Collection! This is the perfect collection for these hot, humid, end-of-summer days! This summer collection comes with six different sheets and 12 patterns, However, the collection has TWO sheets of cut-aparts, Summertime Five and Summertime Six. If you purchase the paper pad, you get four of each pattern. That is plenty of paper to make this mini album! This mini is 5" tall and 3 1/2" wide (similar to the Meadow Mini Album, shared HERE). There are three pages, with lots of fold-outs and flaps, plus TWO waterfall sections! Let's get started on the tutorial. Cut two pieces of medium weight chipboard to 5" x 3 1/2". Cut one piece of chipboard to 5" x 1". Trim dark blue cardstock to 7" x 10 1/4" and attach the chipboard pieces to the cardstock as shown above. Make sure to maintain a 1/8" gap between the spine piece and the cover pieces of chipboard. Trim the cardstock corners at an angle and attach double-sided adhesive to the tabs. Wrap the chipboard as shown. Gently fold the covers while scoring in the 1/8" gutter (or channel) between the spine and the covers. Trim decorative paper to fit over the center spine section. Do this BEFORE adding your hinge mechanism. DO NOT add paper to your inside covers until AFTER you add your hinge mechanism. Create a hinge mechanism from dark blue cardstock. Cut the cardstock to 4 1/4" x 4 1/2". (The 4 1/4" measurement is the height of the hinge.) Score on the longer side at: 1", 1 1/8", 1 3/8", 1 5/8", 2", 2 1/4", 2 1/2", 2 7/8", 3 1/8", 3 3/8", 3 1/2". This will make three hinges that are 1/4" all with a 3/8" space between hinges. Attach the hinge to the spine of the book. Line up the scored 1/8" "gutters" on your hinge to the gutters on your album. Gently burnish and fold all your score lines. Trim decorative paper to add to the inside of your covers. Trim three pieces of dark blue cardstock to 4 7/8" x 3 3/8" and add one piece to each hinge. Glue these "base pages" to the left side of each hinge. (Don't worry. Your decorative papers will cover the other side of the hinge.) Create a waterfall section for the front cover. Trim the dark blue cardstock to 4" x 3 1/8". Score each piece at 1/4" from the top edge. Use a corner rounder to round the bottom edges. Cut four waterfall pages. Attach the first to the top edge of the dotted paper by the 1/4" tab. Add each waterfall page just under the previous page. Add magnets to keep the waterfall closed. Cut a piece of dark blue cardstock to 4 7/8" x 3 3/8" and score on the long side at 1/4" from the right edge. Round the left-hand corners. Attach the 1/4" tab to the left edge of the first base page. Cut a second piece of dark blue cardstock to 4 7/8" x 3 3/8" and score on the long side at 1/4" from the left edge. Round the right-hand corners. Attach the 1/4" tab to the right edge of the first base page. Add magnets as desired. Close the left flap, then the right flap to finish the first base page. Turn the page and work on the BACK of the first base page. Cut a piece of dark blue cardstock to 4 5/8" x 3 1/8" and score on the bottom at 1/4" from the edge. Round the top corners. Attach the 1/4" tab to the bottom edge of the BACK of the first base page. Add a pocket to the bottom of the second base page. Cut dark blue cardstock to 2 3/4" x 3 7/8" and score on three sides at 1/4" from the edges. Fold on the score lines and attach the pocket to the page as shown. Flip the second base page over and work on the BACK. Cut a piece of dark blue cardstock to 4 7/8" x 5 1/2" and score on the long side at 2" and 5 1/4" from the left edge. Round the left-hand corners. Attach the 1/4" tab to the left edge of the second base page. Cut a second piece of dark blue cardstock to 4 7/8" x 3 3/8" and score on the long side at 1/4" from the left edge. Round the right-hand corners. Attach the 1/4" tab to the right edge of the second base page. Add magnets as desired. Close the right flap, then the accordion fold the left flap to finish the second base page Add a pocket to the bottom of the THIRD base page. Cut dark blue cardstock to 2 3/4" x 3 7/8" and score on three sides at 1/4" from the edges. Fold on the score lines and attach the pocket to the page as shown. Flop the page and work on the BACK of the last page. Cut a piece of dark blue cardstock to 4 7/8" x 3 3/8" and score on the long side at 1/4" from the right edge. Round the left-hand corners. Attach the 1/4" tab to the left edge of the third base page. Cut a second piece of dark blue cardstock to 4 7/8" x 3 3/8" and score on the long side at 1/4" from the left edge. Round the right-hand corners. Attach the flap to the right edge of the first base page. Add magnets as desired. Close the left flap to finish the last base page. Create a waterfall section for the inside back cover. Trim the dark blue cardstock to 4" x 3 1/8". Score each piece at 1/4" from the top edge. Use a corner rounder to round the bottom edges. Cut four waterfall pages. Attach the first to the top edge of the dotted paper by the 1/4" tab. Add each waterfall page just under the previous. Add magnets to keep the waterfall closed. Now your mini book is ready to decorate! I trimmed a piece of white, adhesive-back canvas to cover the spine of my book. Then, I added the yellow and white dotted paper to the front and back covers. I kept the cover simple by adding a word grid sticker and a bit of pretty ribbon. (The sticker is VERY OLD and I have no idea where it's from!) I double-matted the sticker and added it to a bit of scrap chipboard before gluing it to the cover. I found the cute crab button in my stash and thought he would like to end his days decorating the bow! I used a banner die to cut out the spine decor. I used a Tim Holtz brad to dangle some charms from the spine. (I have a bin of charms and a bin of beads, most of which have been with me since the early 1990's! I add to them from time to time, so I really don't remember where these particular items came from!) I added the fun Summertime papers to the inside sections of my book, and then just added a few stickers and other bits and bobs to decorate each page. The Summertime cut-aparts are the perfect size for my pages... and to fit into the pockets! I have no idea how long I've had some of these stickers! I almost never reach for stickers, but I am happy I still had these in my stash as they worked perfectly for this little book! I found clear stickers, and 3-D sticker, and word art...just a treasure trove! With TWO waterfall features, there is a lot of space for photos and journaling! If you want to see each page, watch my little walk-through video below! I hope you are inspired to beat the heat and make a little end-of-summer mini! Thanks for joining me today! I thoroughly enjoyed making this project and love how pretty the album and the suitcase turned out. Here are the tutorials on how they all went together. We first start with the mini album. We made 8 paper bags using the Square Lantern & Gift Bag Die. I show you exactly how to put them together to form the pages. We then made a hard wrapped cover and then added the pages to the binding. Everything is listed down below. We then made the suitcase using my new Suitcase Die Set using the same pape

I love interactive projects especially mini albums. It's so much fun to go through an album and find surprises in it. Pull a tag, open a door or turn a wheel and find secrets under it. It takes the mini album to a whole different level. What if I told you you can achieve all that but with only ONE sheet of paper? You can! here's how... First let me say that I'm so happy I can share a Youtube video tutorial with you because it's really difficult to explain all the steps with actually seeing how they work. Start with a 12x12 cardstock. I used a black one and covered it later but you can use a patterned double sided cardstock and then you can skip the covering part. Score it on the 4" and 8" marks, turn it a quarter of a turn and score again. Continue according to the items: First cut along all the lines (that are not dotted) and then fold: A: fold top center to the right. apply adhesive to top and bottom edges of right square and attach to create a pocket. B: fold down. C: fold top left square down. Apply adhesive to right and bottom edges of center left square and attach to create a pocket. fold under center square. D: fold to the right. E: fold bottom right square to the left. F: fold edge of square to the right on 1" mark. apply adhesive to flaps to create two pockets. G: fold bottom left square to the right. Fold up to close. Add tags and inserts to the pockets and embellish. Create strips of paper to hold some of the tags. The steps are a little confusing to explain in words and it'll be so much easier to watch the video. I hope you'll join in the fun and try this project. It might look complicated but it's really easy. Just follow all the steps and you're there! Follow me on Facebook and YouTube for more crafty treats! Have fun creating! Einat

Hello everyone, it's Deb Riddell of Paxton Valley Folk Art here with you today as a guest designer here at Mini Album Makers. A huge thank you to Autumn and her very talented design team for giving me the opportunity to share my project with you. I live in British Columbia, Canada on a small acreage with my hubby and our rescue dog (affectionately known as The Delinquent!) and I'm a mixed media artist and paper crafter. My style is usually vintage inspired feminine grunge but I love to experiment with many styles and mediums. I'm currently on Therm O Web's Mixed Media Education Team and am a Resident Tutor at Mixed Up Creative as well as a Creative Guide over at A Vintage Journey. I'm very lucky to be able to do what I love best everyday, create art! For my project today, I was strongly influenced by the spring weather that has finally arrived here in Canada and decided to make a little vertical mini album created with ... toilet paper rolls! I followed the YouTube tutorials shared by My Sisters Scrapper, you can find Part 1 of her tutorial here: https://youtu.be/-8vndiRxuWk and Part 2 here: https://youtu.be/_l3YfI2QuYc For my mini album, I used some thick chipboard packaging and covered it with papers from a Recollections 'Blossom and Bliss' paper pad. Laura Denison's 'Stack The Deck' hinge system was used to secure my 6 toilet paper roll 'pages'. I decided on a pink and green colour scheme and alternated the colours when wrapping the flattened toilet paper rolls. The inside and outside of the mini album was covered with more of the Blossom and Bliss paper and a line of Lime Green Stickles Glitter Glue was added around the edges. Journaling cards were created from white cardstock matted with more of the same paper and they were embellished on the front with a variety of die cuts and sentiments. I used kraft cardstock for all of the die cuts and embellished them with either embossing powders, foil or Perfect Pearls for a bit of shimmer. Stickers or stamped sentiments were also added to each card and the pulls were created with a Small Tattered Florals die cut. The back of each journaling card was stamped with Tim Holtz's 'Lined' background stamp. The first and last toilet paper roll pocket pages were embellished with flowers created with a combination of the Tattered Florals and Small Tattered Florals die cuts. Botanical Tea paper from Graphic 45 was used for these flowers which coordinated perfectly with the Blossom and Bliss papers. More flowers were created from the same Graphic 45 paper with the Small Tattered Florals dies to embellish the top of the mini album. On the front flap, a black metal bird sticker was painted with Spun Sugar Distress Paint and wiped back for an aged look but it was still a little too dark so I also inked it with Mushroom Alcohol Ink and Gold Mixative. One of Tim Holtz's Wildflower die cuts was cut from kraft cardstock and embossed with pearl embossing powder. A Metallic Quotations Sticker was backed with more kraft cardstock. Mini Detailed Butterflies were die cut from kraft cardstock and embossed with Irridescent Shimmer embossing powder for the back of the mini album. And here are a couple of more pictures of the inside of the mini album and the finished journaling cards. I hope that you've enjoyed seeing how my Sweet Life vertical mini album came together, I had a lot of fun making it. Thanks again to Autumn for the opportunity to share my project with you and have a wonderful week everyone, happy creating! Deb xo

Good morning, Authentique Fans! Happy Thanksgiving to all my American readers! I hope you have a blessed weekend! My two oldest children will be here for the holidays! My older son and my daughter both live on their own, so it's always amazing to have them home at the same time! I did have to clean the craft overflow out of my son's old room so that he has a place to sleep! I have the cutest little Christmas mini to share today! This sweet mini is 8 1/2" x 4" x 1/2" and has seven pockets for photos or lists or whatever you wish to place inside them! There are I used the Rejoice Collection and a bit of the Nostalgia Collection. I saw a tutorial for a planner on Tamra's Country Craft Creations YouTube channel and had to make my own version! I created my base from Tamra's planner tutorial, but then added my own papers and choices for the decor. To make my version, you need 12" x 12" black cardstock (7-8 sheets), your choice of Authentique Collection papers with either stickers or die cuts, a 24" length of ribbon, and your favorite adhesive! That's it! Each pocket has a tall, skinny photo mat, but you could use this for lists, journaling, recipes, or whatever you wish to add. I used the stickers and die cut shapes to decorate each pocket. Keeping the decor simple means you can make a LOT of these sweet mini albums and give them as gifts for Christmas! This is a great way to use ONLY what comes with a Collection, plus cardstock, ribbon, and adhesive! You can mix and match collections and make any theme or style you wish! You can use any matching cardstock color you wish! The last page of the mini has two side pockets/pouches to add lots of extra photos or recipes or journaling cards....or secret Santa lists! I placed one folded booklet in each pocket. The booklets are 8 1/8" tall and 3 5/8" wide. I cut black cardstock to 8 1/8" x 7 1/4" and scored it in half to make each little booklet. You could add some blank paper to each one to make notebooks if you wished. I love the plaid papers! My favorite! Here is the back. I also rounded all my corners! My closure is 24" of houndstooth ribbon...red and white! Here is the back of the mini. Love those reindeer! Thanks for looking!
