Hello & welcome friends, The Thoughtful Journey Memories & More Card pack (#163318) is great for both Scrapbooking and cards. I have chosen 2 of the designs from the pack for this card. These also co-ordinate with the Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper (#163303) and the Thoughtful Wishes Bundle (#1633314). However I haven’t used the DSP and stamp set on this card. I matted the 2 pieces from the card pack with Night Of Navy card (#106577) and attached these to the Basic White base card (#159228). The Lost Lagoon card (#133686) and Crushed Curry card (#131288) were both backed with Adhesive Sheet (#152334), then cut with a die from the Thoughtful Wishes Dies (#163313). These were attached to the card. “Happy Birthday” from the Magnolia Mood stamp set (#163502) was stamped with Night Of Navy ink (#147110). The sentiment & the Night Of Navy card under the sentiment were cut with Unbounded Love dies (#163383). This was attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). The bird embellishments are from the Adhesive-Backed Dragonflies & Birds (#162743). “Love what you do and share what you love.” INSPIRE. CREATE. It was a short and very busy trip to CHA this past week. The weather was fantastic, it was so good to get away from all the snow. Here's a photo of outside the Convention Centre. We were waiting for CHA to open; coffee and sitting in the sun to start the day off! Every time I go, I say to myself, "I'm going to talk lots of photos this time". But when I load them on the computer, there's hardly any and half of them are blurry! I'm too busy looking at everything and forget, helping with the store ordering, or the lighting is terrible. I didn't even get any good ones of my projects in the Tim Holtz booth! I did take some before I sent them off, so I will share those. This new collection, called Wallflower, is my favourite collection this year. Love every paper! I decided to make a scroll with an antique piano roll. I've made a few of these before, and thought this paper was perfect for one. Here's my finished project: I used all Sizzix Tim Holtz dies for my flowers, his new Garden Green, Spring Greenery dies and his new butterfly die. Love the new Sizzix Frameworks dies, this one is called, "Courtyard". I also used pieces from the Ephemera pack, Thrift Shop, Industrious frames & Trims, Number Brads and a Mini Cabinet Card. I can hardly wait for all the new Ideaology embellishments to arrive! Always love chatting with Paula in the Tim Holtz booth. Paula Cheney and Richele Christensen work for Tim and do an amazing job. With all their and the rest of the team's hard work, the booth looked fantastic! Well, that's all for today, I'll share the rest another time. For those of you that shop at Urban Scrapbook; one of the other designers is working on a piano scroll class, so watch for that one! Have a great weekend, Jan
Welcome to a Week 3 of the Colour Creations Showcase blog hop. This week we continue our journey through the New In Colours for 2024-26 Stampin' Up!, working in alphabetical order. This week our feature colour is the lovely Pretty In Pink. A lovely Pink colour that sits between Melon Mambo and Flirty Flamingo on the Stampin' Up! Colour Wheel. The Country Flowers bundle is a gorgeous new bundle from the Annual Catalogue and the one I have chosen for this week's card. Pretty In Pink has been teamed with Smokey Slate and Old Olive. I have used Stampin Blends to colour both the floral spray and the bucket that the flowers are arranged in. These have been popped up on Dimensionals onto a piece of White and then Pretty In Pink card that have been die cut using the Spotlight On Nature dies. The cascading flowers have been die cut using dies from the Country Flowers dies and In Colour Designer Series Paper and the same in Regals. In Colour Shimmer Gems have been added to the flower centres. The gems have a gorgeous glimmer to them. The White background card has been embossed using the Eyelet 3D embossing folder and has a narrow edge of Pretty In Pink Bordered ribbon on both top and bottom. A few Pretty In Pink Adhesive Backed Dappled Dots have also been added to the White card. These dots are gorgeous and look like they have a crackled appearance. All of this has been mounted onto a piece of Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper. The sentiment, from Simply Said has been White embossed on Pretty In Pink card. In an endeavour to not end up with a lot of retired Designer Series Paper at the end of the catalogue, I have added more to the inside of the card. It has been die cut using one of the Radiating Stitches dies. To cover a bit of a booboo using too much glue, I have added some more die cut flowers and leaves to the top corner. Next in tonight's blog hop is the talented Rachel Palmieri. I look forward to seeing this week's beautiful creation. If the "next" button link is not working or you would like to see a full list of participants then you can hop over to our host Cathy Proctor where you can see a full list of tonight's participants. As always if you live in Australia and would like to know more about Stampin' Up! or would like to purchase some of the products then click on the Facebook tab at the top of the page and send me a message. As always enjoy your week.Theresa
Hello, It is always disappointing when a favourite product is retiring like the Notes Of Nature Bundle (#162640), but we can also look forward to more exciting products in the upcoming Annual catalogue which is available from 1st May. I stamped the leaves from the Notes Of Nature stamp set (#162630) using Old Olive ink (#147090). The Notes Of Nature dies (#163203) were used to cut these leaves as well as the leaves from the Gold Foil (#132622) and the Old Olive card (#106576). I used Adhesive Sheet (#152334) on the back of the Gold Foil & Old Olive card. I stamped the leafy image from the stamp set onto the Basic White (#159228) background using Crumb Cake ink (#147116) but stamping off each time for a lighter colour. This was matted with Old Olive card and attached to the Basic White Base Card. I cut the gold & white floral DSP from the Nature’s Sweetness Specialty Designer Series Paper (#162616) using an Everyday Details die (#162864) this was taped to the card. “Happy Birthday” from the Beautiful Balloons stamp set (#161450) was stamped with Old Olive ink. The circles were cut with the Everyday Details dies. The Old Olive circle and stamped leaves were attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). The other die cut leaves were attached to the card. I used Clear Wink Of Stella (#141897) on the stamped leaves. The embellishments are the Brushed Brass Butterflies (#158136) and Gold Festive Pearls (#159963). The retiring products used here are Notes of Nature Bundle, stamp set & dies, Beautiful balloons stamp set and Festive Pearls. “Love what you do and share what you love.” INSPIRE. CREATE.
