If I had discovered the beauty of sketching out my scrapbook pages before sitting down to actual create them, I wouldn't have wasted two years' worth of paper and material producing, well, crap...
For my example I flipped the sketch. I used the new Echo Park Paradise Beach collection . Click HERE for close ups and details on my blog ...
I started taking the Basic Grey Page of the Month Layout (BGPOTM) class at my LSS. You get a lot in your kit and if you add just little more here and there you can squeeze out quite a few layouts! I managed to get two 2-pagers and one 1-pager out of this month's CAPTURE kit. The papers in the CAPTURE line kind of turned me off at first and then when I was searching for pictures to go on the paper, I was surprised at how well it went with many of my photos from Disney's California Adventure park. This is another two-pager I got from the paper in the kit. The variety of colors is really surprising. You can go from subdued colors on Buena Vista Street to the bright greens, teals, and yellows of the Dapper Goofy layout, to this supper bright and crazy 50's feeling layout for Flo's V-8 in Carsland. This layout was based on an Exclusive Basic Grey sketch done by Susan Stringfellow. I had a great time using up as much of the chipboard pieces and as many stickers as I could. The title chipboard letters are also Basic Grey, but they are Spice Market letters. The little dots are MME. There are so many cute embellishments that I had to stop myself! But the 50's was a mass of advertising, so I felt like this fit the era well. The Mickey shape was from a Hallmark epoxy chipboard pack. I had to alter and add-to a few of these pieces but I like the result. I like this little cluster as well. Esp that I fit two Hidden Mickeys on the page. Thanks Basic Grey for all the fun product to play with and for helping me get several Disney layouts finished!

Hi all, I just wanted to share with you my most favorite layout and a template I created for it! This page is all about my son and I wanted to center it around the middle star! check it out: Here is the actual sketch of the page: Here is the full sized template for printing with a 12" by 12" printer. Print it out, cut out the sections, and trace onto you patterned paper. No measuring ;) And for the first time I am making it SUPER EASY to print with your regular printers!! This is the RIGHT side, so just click on the image, save and print in another program. It is 11" long! FYI - I use the programs Photoshop Elements or The Print Shop to print my photos and templates! Here is the LEFT half, click on image, save and print just like you did the right side and tape these two together where they meet! Cut out images and trace onto your patterned paper for the look I got on my "So Smart" page! Use the white sections as large border between you pieces of paper! Here is the digital layers download! http://www.4shared.com/file/186296456/8505ffd6/pc_starpage_template.html I hope you enjoy this template and don't forget to send me your photos. Does anyone know how to upload PDF files to the blog posts? I can email them to you if you need super simple printing, just email me at [email protected] ! I updated some of the templates, so if you have seen them change, you know why :) Tune in tomorrow for another gift certificate giveaway!!

CLICK HERE for the Circle Border SCAL2 File Here is my example. For close ups visit my Blog HERE. Look at this cute page by Pat - she used the cut file and the sketch. Thanks for sharing Pat! Monica sent me a link to her cute summery page using this sketch and her own circle cut papers. I love these circles for summer pages. **CLICK HERE to see Monica's Layout** Joni had a fantastic twist on the sketch and circles, she took away one photo and added her title in that space and then she stamped the circles with acrylic paint! I just love stamping with paint so I think its pretty cool and her title is perfect. Check out Joni's layout HERE.
