A Tree Spirit I sculpted in clay and painted based on the character from Princes Monoke.
A tiny handmade clay painted ghost figure that’s roughly 1in tall. Each one is hand made with clay and painted so no two look exactly alike. They are a perfect little decoration for a shelf or terrarium. These are not toys and therefore not recommended for small children as they are just decrotive sculptures.
Calling all animal lovers! Build your own mobile pet adoption center and help these clay critters find their “furever” homes. All it takes is a few simple shapes like balls, snakes, and cones to build each animal. Learn to make a variety of dog breeds, including a corgi, Chihuahua, Rottweiler, Dalmatian, and beagle, plus cats, birds, bunnies, and guinea pigs. You decide which animals you want to make with colorful clay and premade eyes to help make each creation picture-purrfect. Sculpt up to 15 animals from oven-bake clay, with size guide and step-by-step instructions in a 32-page book. Ages 8+ WARNING: Choking Hazard - Small Parts. Not for children under 3 years.
Look, having good taste doesn't guarantee anything. I mean, it doesn’t mean people won’t appreciate your taste or that you won’t get complimented way more often than the rest of humanity, but half of the coin belongs to execution. If it is poor, this power duo of desirable traits is doomed.
Wondrously detailed worlds emerge from busts of youthful women in clay sculptures by Chinese artist Yuanxing Liang. Ambling trees, bridges, and temples emerge from the figures’ hairline, fusing realism and fantasy in smooth resin. Despite their complex design, Liang occasionally creates small editions of his sculptures. The artist is a gradute of the Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts. You can see more of his intricately wrought fantasy worlds on Weibo. More
Faces are distorted in extraordinary ways in this sculptor's surreal work. Perhaps they are visualizations of internal struggles. What do you think?
Hey, I'm Becky, I'm from the UK and am a huge wildlife enthusiast! All the items I make are exclusively birds and animals that intrigue and interest me. I create decorative objects using polymer clay that I sculpt into simple forms then intricately paint by hand. I started out by making only miniature sculptures, purely for my own amusement.
Sculpture is such an amazing art form, one that requires a great deal of strength, skill and creativity. The thing is that each of us sometimes that we had the wherewithal to convert something inert like stone, metal or wood into something that seems to have a life of its own. But with most us, this may not be possible but do not lose hope, you can use polymer clay to do some work on these lines. It may not be like sculpting on metal with fascinating aesthetic and practical uses but it has a certain charm all its own. And it may not be as temporary as most realistic snow art sculptures, which are winter creations.
