A place to look out for breaching fins and blows in the sea. Have a look at the walking route. This is one of the best places imaginable for watching the sunset. But not today as it began to rain when we reached the lighthouse. There was a stormy wind. This spectacular headland is a good place for bird, dolphins and whale-watchers. We saw the beautiful Gannets flying. The Northern Gannet is a seabird and is the largest member of the gannet family. Adults are 90-100 cm long and have a 170-180 cm wingspan. The head and neck are brushed in a delicate yellow and quite easy to recognize. Their breeding range is the North Atlantic. They normally nest on cliffs overlooking the ocean or on small rocky islands like here on the Isle of Skye. Photo of the Northern Gannets at point Neist most Western point of the Isle of Skye. At the lighthouse we saw waves of 10 meters high smashing the coastline. The stormy wind up here almost blew my camera from my neck!!!
Mermaids frolick in the sea, 1910, Edna Cooke, book illustration, Seaside fairies. fantasy art, mermaids in art, canvas art prints, antique art, seaside art print, Ocean art print 11x14" canvas print. Colors will vary due to your monitor settings Free ship US You frame it! PLEASE note: This image was created as an illustration, and does not have very distinct lines. This is the way it was created and saved, and our computers print it exactly as shown on the listing. It is imperative that you open the picture to see the detail. It is impossible to know what to expect when you view on a phone or other small device. If you are looking for precise lines and details, this is not the print for you. NOTE: Our prints are taken from an antique/vintage paintings, greeting cards, post cards etc.. Much of the time, these were originally printed on a soft and porous paper, which softened the images. They didn't have the technology back then to photo-shop and fix these images. That is why I chose to reproduce only antique art in it's original content (no photo-shop). I love the old school art. These are also paintings and drawings, and so the styles vary. The papers we use today, have special coatings so that they attract the inks or dyes well, and stop much of the seeping of the inks. Our new technologies print exactly what is on the scan of the original image. If you purchase canvas, it is made of cotton, and even though it also has this special coating, it is textured, and softens the look of the final result. It is archival, and of the highest quality, but is best for paintings since they were mostly created on artist canvas. It is important to note that if you are buying on your phone or tablet, the images you see are only tiny thumbnails, and so you can't really see the detail in the scan on the listing. If you can look on a computer, you can then see the depth and detail of the image you want. Artwork is not created equal, and sometimes there are clear and distinct lines, and other times the style is less detailed. Lastly, Colors will vary slightly, due to the difference in your monitor settings. Please zoom in on the image to see the detail. This art print was taken from a vintage painting, print, postcard or digital source. It is in the public domain in the US because the copyrights (if any) have expired. All quoted shipping costs are USA only. I will ship to your country, via first class intl. USPS, but please contact me for a quote before you buy. All art prints are custom designed to fit into a standard, modern frame. The openings on these frames are smaller than the listed size. Your print will be slightly larger than the opening. You can carefully trim it to fit your frame, and pop it in, with or without a mat. Each print is made as it is ordered. Please convo me if you need a specific size. I use real cotton artist's canvas, and the newest technology to enlarge the images, pixel x pixel. There is no stretching or skewing, Cotton canvas is textured in tiny squares, and produces a soft finish like a painting. Since it is fabric, it grabs the color for an extraordinary presentation. I use archival canvas, and special dyes to print each image. They will last 100 years under normal circumstances. Your monitor settings will vary from mine, so colors may look different to you than they really are. Color match technology produces exact colors to the image file used. Satin canvas is also textured, but it not as dense. It has a semi-gloss light and moisture proof finish. It is great for posters, too. NO stretching or mounting is needed. No need for expensive, custom framing. I use special, secure packing materials, to insure that your item arrives safely. I have been collecting and selling art prints for many years. I may have just what you are searching for. Just ask, and I will create a special listing, just for you. Thank you for your interest. Carol@ just4allkids [!at] yahoo.com
The sea can be as tempestuous and brutal as it is beautiful. For some people, bodies of water hold a deep fear that others might not fully understand. However, through the power of photography, everyone can feel this sense of lingering dread.

In the Middle Ages, travelers brought home tales from all over the globe of wondrous and fantastic plants and beasts—but many of these travelers were just relaying stories they’d heard instead of things they’d actually seen. These stories, in turn, were w

Capturing the ethereal beauty of Balmedie Beach as night begins to fall, this captivating piece from our 'Scottish Beaches' collection radiates the emotive power characteristic of Expressionist art. Vivid hues of tangerine, cerulean, and sapphire bleed across the canvas, mirroring the last dance of daylight as it performs a spectacular symphony of colour across the sky. The horizon is a theatre of light where the sun's final act dips beneath the gentle swell of a cobalt sea, streaked with frothy waves that softly kiss the shore. The bold, impasto strokes embody the restless energy of the coastal winds, sculpting a sky alive with dynamic movement. Beneath, the beach becomes a canvas itself, reflecting the sky's majestic palette with a mosaic of colours on its wet sands, creating a visual echo of the twilight glow. Darker outlines of a distant headland provide a grounding contrast to the flamboyant display above, ensuring the eyes of the beholder are drawn back and forth from the calm solidity of the land to the ephemeral beauty of the seascape. This print invites contemplation and promises to bring a burst of expressionistic fervour to any space, enlivening walls with its vibrant portrayal of nature's daily spectacle. It holds within its brushstrokes the fleeting magic of dusk, a moment captured in time yet endlessly dynamic, perfect for those who seek to envelope their surroundings with the spirited essence of Scotland's coast.
When it comes to defining Mother Nature, we use all kinds of descriptions, a creator, a protector and a mother to all the things that are around us. However, when you look at wondrous things like shells, you realize that another role that Mother Nature plays is that of an artist. Actually, the thing is we should have realized this when we look at breathtaking vistas of nature and how much beauty is contained in these. In fact, when you come to really think about it, you ponder what is incidental art and discover more about it, you will acknowledge that Mother Nature does know art very well and is an expert it.
