Have I got a pretty card to share today? Oh yes!!! My "Simply Zinnia" bundle arrived earlier this week, and today's card features images from the stamp set, coordinating dies, shiny sequins, and designer paper, which is simply bursting with rich, vibrant colors! This is a GORGEOUS bundle! The collection of products will be part of Stampin' Up!'s Online Exclusives and will be available on March 5th, so you might just want to mark your calendar to make a purchase that day. Don't let this one get away!!! You may remember from a previous post that I mentioned having a few Square Column cards already scored and ready to make? I love making these cards, and they are perfect for showcasing designer paper. Since the flat panel to the right of the column featured a die-cut sentiment and designer paper, the back of this card will be used for writing a note, greeting, etc. Speaking of the die-cut sentiment . . . I really liked the faintly-stamped zinnia as a background, don't you? The little bunch of zinnias were stamped with Memento ink and colored with alcohol markers. A bit of Wink of Stella was brushed in the center of the flowers to give them a little glimmer, and I think the colors coordinate so nicely with the designer paper. For the past several years, my daddy has grown gorgeous zinnias! They're so colorful, and just a few of them look so pretty in any vase. As long as his zinnias are growing, he will have a bouquet for my sister and I when we visit on the weekends--this is always such a treat, and I love having them in my home. This collection of products really called to me, and I hope that you love them, too. But don't forget . . . March 5th is the first day to buy any or all of them. If you don't already have a Demonstrator, I'd love it if you would shop with me. Here is a link to the Online Exclusives, but remember . . . Simply Zinnia won't be there until March 5th. Have a stampin' good day!

Hello and welcome to my blog! Today I'm using the new Online Exclusive, Simply Zinnia Bundle, to introduce you to the over stamping technique. This is an awesome technique to make your images really pop. Basically, it involves stamping your image, coloring your image, then stamping it, again. You will need to have a stamp positioner, or some method to restamp your image so it is in the exact same place both times. I'll show you some pictures of the card, then provide 2 videos for you to watch showing this technique. The Distressed Tile Embossing Folder and the Thoughtful Expressions Dies were used on the 4" x 5 1/4" Basic White piece. Here I have my stencil on my stamp positioner with my stamp lined up. Next, I dropped my cut out in the stencil opening and stamped it in Basic Gray. In this picture I had removed my zinnias from the stamp positioner and colored the zinnias with the Poppy Parade and Old Olive Blends. I then put it back in the stamp positioner. This is before I over stamped. Now take a look at the image! This is after I stamped the image again or over stamped! Wow! Look at the difference! Here is a close up on the card. My sentiment is from Circled Sayings, stamped in Old Olive, then cut with the die from Everyday Details. For your free download, just click on the box below. Links to the supplies I used are below. This first video demonstrates just the over stamping technique. To see the construction of this card and the over stamping technique, visit my YouTube Channel. Just click on the picture below. I shared this striking card on last week's Live video. I focused on the Flowering Zinnias suite. My colors include Granny Apple Green, Melon Mambo, Black, Flirty Flamingo & White. I textured the Melon Mambo layer with the new Zinnia 3D embossing folder and created the two flowers & leaves from the Simply Zinnias dies. See all of the Zinnia products here. I'm here today to bring you my card for the NEW challenge we have over at Just Add Ink Challenges - Just Add Ink #698 - Just Choose Two Challenge. Today for our Just Choose Two challenge (to choose two items to feature on your project) we are choosing from Leaves, Flowers and Pots. I chose leaves and flowers for my 'Just Choose Two' but that was pretty much a given as I'm a sucker for a pretty flower stamp set and card. I've used lots of layers, embossing, die cutting, ribbon & trim, and the Stampin' Up! Online Exclusive bundle Simply Zinnia for a pretty floral card using Stampin' Blends Alcohol Markers. I've not used my Stampin' Blends for a while now so it was good to get them out and get my colouring on. I've used Basic White and one of the new In Colors - Pretty in Pink, for my cardstock layers and then to colour in the Zinnia flowers I used the Blends - Melon Mambo Dark & Light, Pretty in Pink Dark, Pumpkin Pie Light, and Lemon Lolly Dark to colour in the flowers. I used Granny Apple Green Dark & Light to colour the leaves. I'm loving this pink on pink colour combo. I love the gorgeous contrast between the dark and light pink shades. Super pretty! I finished the card off with a layering of ribbon and trim and added a few Irridescent Pearls to add to that pretty look. There are lots of AMAZING creations from the rest of the Just Add Ink Design Team on the JAI Blog. Go and check out to see what 'two' elements they all used this week and then while you are there you can see how you can enter your project. Can't wait to see what 'two' you used.
