The oranges are cut into thin slices and cooked together with the cookies, sweetened with a pinch of sugar. The orange slices give it a very slight bitter note, as in orange marmalade. I have few more things to tell you about today's recipe, they are very simple but very rich cookies. It is a perfect recipe to use oranges in case you have many, since we are in full season. It is the typical recipe that you can bake on a Sunday afternoon to accompany that cup of tea that you offer to the guests. And you will look great investing very little effort. And since I can't tell you much about the recipe, I want to talk a little about photography, which is the second main topic of this blog. You may have already noticed that some of the photographs that I share today are somewhat different. Well, they are not photographs of me, specifically there are 2 that my husband has taken. And it seems that he has bitten the photography bug! In particular of macro photography. Macrophotography is therefore a branch of photography in which the photographed subject is big in the photo, as big as in real life or bigger. For example, if the size of an ant in the photo is equal to or larger than its size in real life, that is a Macro photo. Although the objects can also be magnified and the details can be appreciated almost at a microscopic level depending on the optics used. As good macro lenses are quite expensive, for the moment and to get started, sometimes I use my 50mm and sometimes the one in the kit. And as a cheap solution to increase the focal length use macro extender tubes. Macro extension tubes or rings are hollow cylinders that come in different sizes, and can be combined to achieve greater or lesser separation and thus achieve the required magnification. It is true that the best image quality is not obtained with this solution, but it has managed to take some very attractive photos. Do not tell me that the detail of the interior of the orange or the bite of the cookie that I leave you below are not super interesting photographs. What I find most beautiful about them is that they offer us a vision of objects that is very different from what we are used to! If you are interested in getting started in this type of photography and you do not want to invest a lot of money in equipment, you can try the extension tubes.
