When printing fast with my Ender 3 S1 PRO and Sonic Pad I found that vibrations on Y-axis made ghosting marks on my prints. Solution was to reduce them by using stiffeners. There were some stiffeners projects available online, but none of them convinced me when it comes to mounting system, so I decided to design and make it by myself. When I designed it I presumed that best placement to put upper mount was led bar placement, so I decided to move it outside. Upper mount have cuts to match led bar holder, and screw it. This makes whole led bar wider, so you have to print and mount (by just sliding in) extender (led extender.stl) between led bar and its holder. If you have stock extruder, this mod won’t reduce your build volume. To achive maximum stiffness fittings are pretty tight, but you should be able to mount all parts without need of use sandpaper. I spent many hours trying to make as good as possible. I hope it will be useful for you. Stiffeners should significantly reduce ghosting on Y-axis. For me it’s must have mod for Ender 3 S1 Pro and Sonic Pad users, but event without Klipper stiffeners can improve quality. Mounting instruction: I suggest printing in way shown on one of the pictures. Support is needed in only upper mounts on one wall. Please remember to block supports in any other places, especially small trays for stock led holder on upper mounts, and inside led extender. Undo M5 screw on upper left gantry (vertical hole, one from the outside), and M5 screw form led bar holder (horizontal hole). Remove led holder form one side. Slide upper left mount to its place, and screw it with M5x45 (horizontal hole), and M5x25(vertical hole). Undo two M5 screws on the left corner of the printer. Slide in left bottom mount, and screw it with M5x12 socket cap screws. Mount threaded M10 rod with M10 screws and washers. I suggest to put two nuts and washers (internal ones) on rod, place it to mounts, and add another two nuts and washers. Tighten it using same force on both sides. On the other side same procedure, but you have to mount led extender between stock led holder, and led bar. Place led wires to its cable tray in upper right mount. Do not separate led bar I suggest to do the resonance calibration, but even without it effect should appear. Needed parts: -2 x threaded M10 rod, length 500mm -8 x M10 nuts -8 x 10,5 washers -2 x Hexagon socket cap screws M5x45 -2 x Hexagon socket cap screws M5x25 -4 x Hexagon socket cap screws M5x12
