The brand new June release from My Favorite Things is now live so go and get shopping!!! Oh wait! Take a look at my card first. This is Let Your Hair Down and it comes with Coordinating Die-namics. To create this card which is super dimensional I first grabbed a panel of white cardstock and I used the Grassy Edges Stencil and then the Mini Cloud Edges Stencil together with Distress Inks in Stormy Sky, Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn. I grabbed the A2 Stitched Rectangles STAX Die-namics and die cut the stencilled panel. The outer cut to make it slightly smaller than A2 and the next cut to create a focal panel. The outer cut was directly glued to my white card base and the focal panel was backed with white craft foam and carefully adhered making sure before pressing down and adhering that everything was aligned. I also used a die-cut from the A2 Rectangle Frames Die-namics and backed it with foam tape and applied that to the raised focal point. I stamped my images from Let Your Hair Down on to Copic friendly cardstock and I used Copic markers to colour my images and I highlighted a few points using a white gel pen. I used the die-namics to die cut the images which I backed with foam tape arranged and then adhered to the scene. All that was left to do now was to stamp one of the 3 sentiments from the stamp set and I used a sentiment strip from Essential Stitched Sentiment Die-namics. This strip was adhered with more foam tape so that it floated across the white frame .... and beyond! Many thanks for stopping by my blog today and I hope to see you back here soon! Happy crafting!

I just got some of the Pure Innocence stamps made by My Favorite Things with a gift certificate and thought the sketch this week was perfect for this Boy and His Dog. Since I have five grandsons I chose some really bright papers. The red background paper from Glitz even had the faint impression of kids and dogs/dog toys on the right side. When I chose the woodgrain for the three panels, I was thinking of a place on the other side of our farm where the grandchildren like to ride in an old wagon. Here's one of the many pictures I've taken back there. (For my friends, this is Nadia, our youngest granddaughter, one of Christine's twins.) 5" x 6.5" Card Recipe: Paper - Basic Grey "Life of the Party (stripe, woodgrain); Glitz "Laced with Grace," CTMH Buttercup, Colonial White, Topiary cardstock Stamps - My Favorite Things - "Dog Gone Cute;" CTMH (grass) Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Close To My Heart Clover Meadow Other - Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder; k-i "Heartfelt" flowers
Hello all! Today i'm back again with a new Sketch Challenge by My Favorite Things. This week i decided to make a Birthday card just because i always seem to have a shortage of Birthday cards. This week i stayed true to the sketch as it is a Slimline cardsketch and you know me i like to make slimline cards! So i started making the front panel out of Kraft cardstock, cut the circles and stamped the background using Kraft Dye ink and splattered some black and white paint on to it. Cut a Smooth White side fold base card and traced the circles of the Kraft card on to the main card. Masked of the bottom and top and inked up the circles using Tattered Rose and Abandoned Coral. Splattered some water as black and white ink. Cut four strips of the Black & White paper pack and adhered it to the sides of the basecard. Cut them were the panel would end also, and adhered the kraft panel to the base using foamtape. Stamped the images, colored them up using my Copic markers and cut them using the matching Die-Namics. Stamped the sentiment on Smooth White cardstock, placed everything on the card and finished of using some black enemal dots. Used Copic Colors: Green - G28, G24, G21, G20 Red - R29, R27, R24 Yellow - Y17, Y15, Y13 Black - N7, N5 White - C3, C1, C0 Have a lovely day! Greets, Marieke
Hello all, Today i'm back with a project for My Favorite Things, today it's time for the Hits & Hightlights. The team inspires you with projects featuring a specific theme or products. Today we are showcasing the versatility of the products that are made to create a lip balm gift package. . So it happend that it was our niece her birthday this weekend and asked for a fashion cheque so she go shopping with her friends. I figured it would be a fun idea to combine the gift card with a lip balm and then to turn it into a really girly card. So i started with the background i cut it out of Smooth White cardstock using the slimline Die-Namics. Added some clouds using a stencil and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink. Splattered some water and some Picked Raspberry mixed with water on to it. Because i never made something like this i decided to stamp the images first, colored them up and cut them by hand. Because the fashion cheque was black i knew that would be one of the main colors, together with the pink i figured the gold sparkle would be great with it. So i cut the Gift Card Frame and the Lip Balm frame out of the gold sparkle cardstock. Now i was aible to decided were i wanted everything to be on the base card. Die cut the windows of the giftcard and lipbalm out of the front of the cloud base. Cut a topfold Smooth White base card to find out that this did not fit into my die-cutting machine when i wanted to use the Rip Strip Die-Namics. So i cut two rectangle's one 7 x 3,5 inch and one 7 x 4 inch wich i scored at 3,5 inch. Took the smallest rectangle, placed the cloud panel on top and traced the holes with a pencil. Placed the smallest Rip Strip Die-Namics in the middle of the pencil traced Lip Balm window and cut it. Did the same with the Gift Card window only i place the Rip Strip Die-Namics on the same height as the other one. Turned over the rectangle and stamped the word "Rip" on the outside of the Rip Strip. Glued the 7 inch rectangle's together, figured the card needed something extra and added a strip of black and white striped paper and more gold sparkle. Glued the pouches on the inside and the frames on the outiside. Stamped the sentiment and added the giftcard and lipbalm. Glued the cloud panel with a lot of patience on the basecard and added the colored images. I added some more gold sprakle to the horns and some wink of stella on the leaves and wings. Used Copic Colors: Pink - RV09, RV06, RV04, RV02, RV00 Soft Pink - R22, R20, R00 White - C5, C3, C1, C00, 0 Black - N9, N7, N5, N3 Cat - E57, E55, E53, E51, E50 Skin - E000, E00, E04, E11, E21 Hair - E37, E35, E33 Dog - E27, E25, E23 (i think i saved it from a earlier coloring) Rainbow - R85, R83, R81, YR07, YR04, YR02, Y17, Y15, Y13, YG17, YG13, YG11, B02, B00, B000, V17, V15, V12 Have a lovely day!
