A pair of rowel spurs each with a body of silver having almost straight sides when viewed from the side, terminating in a rectangular box for a vertical leather, a short neck and a relatively large rowel with many spikes placed close together so that only the point of each is free of its neighbour.Each side is cast in relief and chiselled towards the rear with a thistle plant.
