Lighting candles and fires welcome in the new energy and with a broom we sweep out the old. It is used and partnered with a multitude of Vietnamese culinary dishes that helps bring out the flavor of dishes like Vietnames spring rolls (cha gio), grilled pork and rice (thit nuong), and my all-time favorite pork and mushroom crepes (banh cuon).

A museum quality print of Spring By Mucha from our gallery Raven Orb Gallery. I print high quality prints using 100 cotton rag paper using giclee archival ink which are lightfast and waterproof for over 75 years. This decorative panel printed on silk from 1900, titled “Spring”, is by the Czech artist and founder of the Art Nouveau movement, Alphonse Mucha. It is one of four panels in his Seasons series from 1900. In this piece, the season of Spring is personified as a beautiful young woman. She stares right at the viewer in a sultry pose in a fantasy type dress carrying a bouquet of spring flowers. The green dress represents the new life that comes with the season. As with Mucha’s other pieces, the border is part of the art itself and contains classic Art Nouveau motifs. Of course, these seem classic today, but in Mucha’s time they were new and fresh.
