Australian artist Kit Webster is has long been fascinated with the emotional and psychological tricks he can play through the manipulation of sound and light. His new piece _Hypercube_ is a concentric cubic sculpture with a 120-metre LED set-up that can be controlled using specially-created software. The pre-recorded cycles allow Kit to control the viewer’s experience, speeding the cube up to a frenzy and breaking the tension with meditative moments of calm.

최근 준공한 노량진수산시장 건물에 거대한 빛의 물결이 일렁이고 있다. 국민대학교 박제상 교수의 〈물의 선물〉이라는 미디어 아트 작품을 LED 전문기업 룩스원이 빛의 예술로 승화시킨 이 라이팅 조형물은 새로 단장한 노량진수산시장의 랜드마크가 될 전망이다. 기사제공 | 팝사인 박제상 작가의 〈물의 선물〉 라이팅 조형물에 사용된 룩스원의 풀컬러 LED 클러스터 룩스원, 국민대 박제상 교수 작품을 LED로 형상화 LED를 이용한 라이팅 데코레이션 전문기업 룩스원이 시설현대화 사업으로 재탄생한 노량진수산시장에 랜드마크적 라이팅 조형물을 설치했다. 노량진수산시장 광장 출입구에 설치된 〈물의 선물〉이라는 작품명의 조형물은 국민대학교 박제상 교수와 룩스원의 협업으로 탄생한 작품이다. 박제상 작가는 물결, 파도 등 노량진 수상시장의 공간적 특성을 상징하기 위해 파도형태의 조형적 역동성을 강조하는 작품을 구상했다. 또한 다양한 콘텐츠의 변화로 방문객들에게 시각적 재미를 제공하는 것도 빼놓지 않았다. 박제상 작가의 작품 콘셉트를 실제 조명으로 구현한 테크니컬적인 부분은 LED 라이팅 전문기업 룩스원에서 담당했다. 룩스원은 자사의 구조물 설계와 라이팅 컨트롤 기술을 통해 작가의 작품을 실제 라이팅으로 구현했다. 작품의 구조물은 스테인리스 스틸과 광확산 PC로 뼈대를 이루고 있으며 룩스원의 풀컬러 LED 영상시스템으로 〈물의 선물〉을 화려하게 연출했다. 크기가 다른 86개의 폴을 유기적으로 연동 노량진수산시장 라이팅 조형물은 24,000×1,000×4,000(h)mm 크기로 제작됐으며 기초 지지대에 기둥 역할을 하는 알루미늄 프로파일을 끼워서 설치하는 구조다. 설치판과 광확산 PC, 사이드 커버를 결합하는 구조로 이루어져 있으며, 90mm×90mm 크기의 알루미늄 프로파일을 기둥으로 사용해 구조물이 견고하게 지지되도록 했다. 라이팅 조형물은 곡선으로 형상화되어 양면에서 빛이 나오는 구조로 설계됐다. 노량진수산시장 광장에 있는 사람들과 노량진수산시장 외부의 사람 모두가 라이팅 조형물을
