Sometimes you need a card without a lot of shiny baubles. I think this set works well for tweens and adds a graphic look that is simple and fun. The white chalk marker covers nicely even on red card

Happy Sunday! Today I am kicking off a 12 week series of Sale-A-Bration Sunday project posts. Every Sunday through March 25th I will have a creative project featuring a Sale-A-Bration item. Sale-A-Bration runs through March 31st and with every $50 order you can choose a Sale-A-Bration item for free. It is a great time of year to stock up on staples (cardstock, envelopes, adhesive) or splurge for a big ticket item (Big Shot?) or join my team and customize your own starter kit and get any two additional stamp sets for free! Today’s project is a sweet and simple card featuring the Epic Celebrations stamp set and Shimmer Ribbon from Sale-A-Bration. I think I yelped when I saw the Sale-A-Bration catalog in November and saw a set with an electric guitar. If you know me at all this stamp set was the top of my list since my hubby is a guitarist and guitar teacher. Here are the Sale-A-Bration products I used: I used the Thoughtful Banners stamp set for the happy birthday. This is a go-to stamp set for all the wonderful greetings: Place an order over $25 in my Online Store in January with host code 6MSNFK4E and I will send you a surprise gift. I’ll be back on Tuesday with another Tuesday Tip video tutorial. Hi! EDIT: Oh, wow! Soooo excited that I won the challenge with this card! I happened to be checking out Facebook last night when the CASEing The Catty crew posted their new challenge. This week they are challenging us to CASE anything from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue. After a quick browse, I decided on the card on the top right of page 16. I don't have the stamp set that was used to create the card in the catalogue (Amazing You), so I decided to use another SAB set, Epic Celebrations. I'm totally loving this set! I started by applying some Silver Embossing Paste through the brick wall mask to the Old Olive card base. The trainers, headphones and guitar were stamped and coloured with Blends. A little trick with the trainers is to go around the outside of the rage with a light marker. In this case I used the Light Crumb Cake Blend. This makes the white on the trainers stand out more. Don't the dots make a great background for the rest of the images in this set? I think so! Bye for now, Tina

It was so much fun seeing how different everyone's was and how much fun they all had using it. I'm so happy I decided to use it :-) Paired up with the Epic Celebrations stamp set from the Sale-a-Bration catalog, it makes for an... EPIC card! Hi there and welcome back to my blog today. Today is a card we made at my launch events last week and it was totally CASED from my friend and fellow demonstrator Allison Okamitsu. You can see Allison's amazing card HERE. Thank you so much Allison for all your inspiration. I love the Epic Celebrations stamp set from the SAB brochure. It's a fab set of stamps for teenagers and it can be yours completely free with a spend of £45 or more. The colour combo on this card is a fabulous Pool Party, Lemon Lime Twist, Real Red and Basic Black, a really funky combination I think! Hope you like this make and I will see you back here on Wednesday! We have a brand new set of tutorials that are available when you spend £45 or more on my store. These will be emailed to you, 12 exclusive tutorials from around the world! Or you can purchase them as a one off payment
Hi everyone! Did you see the new punch in the Spring Occasions Catalog! I love it. To be honest, I love any punch really. But this is a really fun shape and I decided to play around with it for this card, using it to make the background. I punched out several in each color, Tempting Turquoise, Soft Sky and Pacific point. Then I adhered them in random order onto a base scrap of paper 3 3/4 by 5 inches. I then trimmed around the edges to get a clean line. I mounted the whole piece onto Smokey Slate then a card base of Basic Gray. The Guitar and "You're Awesome" stamp set come from the set "Epic Celebration", which is a choice in the Sale-a-Bration catalog. During Sale-a-Bration you can choose 1 level one product for every $50 you spend, or if you spend $100, you can choose 2 level ones or 1 level two, and so on. This is a great time to stock up on envelopes and cardstock, or add some more ink pad colors to your collection. You can see the whole Sale-a-Bration catalog with choices if you click on the catalog to the right. Here is a video showing you step by step how I put this card together. This card was inspired by a challenge at www.splitcoaststampers.com If you are not familiar with this web site I highly recommend checking it out. Click on the Gallery link and go to the Stampin' Up! gallery and you will be blown away by the amount of samples in EVERY Stampin' Up! stamp set. The challenges are in another gallery and change each month. Here is a link right to the challenges. https://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=20742 This month's theme is "singing the blues". This card was for the color challenge, and I liked that the guitar added some music to the card as well. Happy Friday!! TGIF!! Today's project is super cool if I do say so myself. I used the Brusho Crystal Colour as well as the Shimmery White Embossing Paste to create this awesome background! It was so much fun! Have you tried Brusho or the embossing paste yet? If not, it's worth trying. I was skeptical at first as I'm usually a clean crafter but you can use both of these items without making a huge mess. In today's tutorial, I talk about how to use Brusho as well as the embossing paste. Check it out. Isn't all that texture and color neat?! I LOVE it! I hope you purchase some of these supplies and try them out. Check out today's tutorial: Supply List: View the Occasions catalog HERE! View the Sale-A-Bration flyer HERE! Hi! Wowee! What a week! I got hit for 6 last Friday with a gastro bug, and Ive only just got back up on my feet. I don't think I've ever been hit with such a nasty bug. I'm still going slow, but at least I'm going! Thankfully, I'd had my card for this week's Just Add Ink challenge made a few weeks ago! Kim gave us this fabulous sketch to work with. I wanted to use my Epic Celebration SAB stamp set to make a card for a teenage boy, so that's where I started. I also grabbed my Colour Theory DSP. I'm not a big fan of the crackled paper, but I think it goes well on a teen boy card. Blue, red and white are a pretty classic boy colour combination, so I paired Real Red with the Dapper Denim/Whisper White DSP. The red adds a bold touch without overwhelming the card. I coloured the kicks with my Real Red Watercolour Pencil. I didn't bother blending or shading too much. To make the white parts of the shoes pop, I outlined the image lightly with my Basic Grey pencil. Apparently keeping the white bits of the shoes white is pretty important for teens - Ada gets the Gumption into hers to keep them pristine! I wanted to do something a bit different on this inside, so instead of shoes again I used the headphones. I don't like wasting little scraps, so the DSP that was an offcut on the front of the card was used to underline the inside sentiment. The other girls on the Design Team have made some fabulous cards this week. You can see them, and join in the challenge, over at the Just Add Ink blog. See you there! Bye for now, Tina
