Happy Sunday everyone! What strange summer we're having so far this year. It was hot and very dry in June, and now it doesn't really want to stop raining. The grass was fertilized the day before the last round of rain, and was hard to cut in places yesterday - it was so long! Once

Hello stamping friends, I have another sneak peek to share with you from the 2024-2025 Annual catalogue. As a demonstrstor we have access to preorders from new upcoming catalogues. When I first saw the Country Flowers Bundle, I knew it was one that I would love. The stamp set includes two different containers, three foliage and flower stamps, a stool and five greetings. For this card I stamped the front pail and flowers first. I created a mask for the pail and then stamped the stool and the teapot and flowers. I stamped the stool again on a piece of woodgrain card stock from the Country Woods DSP and fussy cut it out. I trimmed the stool so that it would fit behind the front pail. I coloured the image with my Blends Markers and cut out the image with a Deckled Rectangle Die. Happy Easter stamping friends, be sure to pop back soon for more peeks from the new catalogue. If you live in Australia and do not already have a demo, contact me and I can send you your own catalogue as soon as it's available. Happy stamping, Rachel

Hello and welcome to the Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop for April! Each month a group of creative friends create a project for a theme. Below is an image of all of the crew and where they are from around the globe. Such a talented, friendly and wonderful group of people. Last month I attended OnStage a Stampin' Up!® Event held in Melbourne. I loved catching up with a few of the Around the World on Wednesday Team Members whilst there. Below is a picture of Melissa Gifford, Cheryll Miller, Rochelle Laird-Smith and myself. These beautiful ladies are so talented and I love that we know each other through this amazing design team. This year is going so quick! I can't believe we are in April already. The weather here in Australia finally cooling. We had a severe rainfall here last weekend and there were many roads cut by flooding or small landslides on the mountains that border my home town. It was the perfect opportunity to spend some time in the craft room being creative with my dog at my feet "helping". This months challenge, This or That, had me thinking for a while. I felt I should create a simple card and then step it up, but then, I decided to make two cards with a similar layout and the same products. I chose to create my cards using new product that I chose to purchase for OnStage in Melbourne for the After Hours classes. Something new and so much fun to attend on top of the OnStage Event. The new bundle I chose is the Spotlight on Nature Bundle. The delicate images and gorgeous Dies won me over instantly. These cards are something that I imagined creating with the Bundle as soon as I saw it. Soft colours and the divine die cut circles at the centre of my card. For my first card I decided to layer the beautiful circle die cuts and sit the fussy cut stamped and coloured images on top. The circle dies are adhered together with Dimensionals and I also used Dimensionals to add to the mat layer. I have stamped the two fussy cut images in the new Basic Beige ink before colouring in with Petal Pink and Soft Sea Foam Stampin' Blends. For the background layer I stamped the Sketched Plaid stamp in Basic White ink on Soft Sea Foam card stock and glued that to a mat layer before adhering to the Soft Sea Foam card base. I placed three of the Petal Pink Foiled Gems around the die cut pieces on the circle diecut. On a piece of Soft Sea Foam card stock I stamped the sentient in Soft Sea Foam ink before cutting it out with paper snips. I tied some Linen Thread in a bow and adhered it to the bottom of the sentiment piece before adhering the sentiment with Dimensionals. For my second card I wanted to use the beautiful new neutral Basic Beige for my card base. I felt it would go well with the softness of Petal Pink and Soft Sea Foam. I decided to make a simpler and quicker version of the card above. The Sketched Plaid stamp was inked in Basic Beige and stamped on a Basic Beige mat layer. Then glued to the card base. I stamped the floral image on a piece of basic white card stock in Basic Beige ink before die cutting it with a circle die and colouring with Petal Pink and Soft Sea Foam Stampin' Blends. I stamped the sentiment in Soft Sea Foam ink on the top right hand side of the floral image. I adhered three of the Petal Pink Foiled Gems around the stamped images. Before adhering to the card base using Dimensionals I cut a 10cm length of the new Petal Pink Diagonal Trim and adhered it to the centre of the card front underneath where the circle die layer went. Up next on this months hop is the wonderfully talented Rochelle Laird- Smith. Click on the next blog button below to head to her post. I hope to have inspired you to create two projects with some similarities as I have here. I was fun creating the one with more layers first then pairing it back for the second card.
Today I'm sharing a card I made using the Happiest Day stamp set, Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper (DSP), the Spotlight on Nature Dies and the Dashing Designs 3D Embossing Folder.
Welcome to a Week 3 of the Colour Creations Showcase blog hop. This week we continue our journey through the New In Colours for 2024-26 Stampin' Up!, working in alphabetical order. This week our feature colour is the lovely Pretty In Pink. A lovely Pink colour that sits between Melon Mambo and Flirty Flamingo on the Stampin' Up! Colour Wheel. The Country Flowers bundle is a gorgeous new bundle from the Annual Catalogue and the one I have chosen for this week's card. Pretty In Pink has been teamed with Smokey Slate and Old Olive. I have used Stampin Blends to colour both the floral spray and the bucket that the flowers are arranged in. These have been popped up on Dimensionals onto a piece of White and then Pretty In Pink card that have been die cut using the Spotlight On Nature dies. The cascading flowers have been die cut using dies from the Country Flowers dies and In Colour Designer Series Paper and the same in Regals. In Colour Shimmer Gems have been added to the flower centres. The gems have a gorgeous glimmer to them. The White background card has been embossed using the Eyelet 3D embossing folder and has a narrow edge of Pretty In Pink Bordered ribbon on both top and bottom. A few Pretty In Pink Adhesive Backed Dappled Dots have also been added to the White card. These dots are gorgeous and look like they have a crackled appearance. All of this has been mounted onto a piece of Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper. The sentiment, from Simply Said has been White embossed on Pretty In Pink card. In an endeavour to not end up with a lot of retired Designer Series Paper at the end of the catalogue, I have added more to the inside of the card. It has been die cut using one of the Radiating Stitches dies. To cover a bit of a booboo using too much glue, I have added some more die cut flowers and leaves to the top corner. Next in tonight's blog hop is the talented Rachel Palmieri. I look forward to seeing this week's beautiful creation. If the "next" button link is not working or you would like to see a full list of participants then you can hop over to our host Cathy Proctor where you can see a full list of tonight's participants. As always if you live in Australia and would like to know more about Stampin' Up! or would like to purchase some of the products then click on the Facebook tab at the top of the page and send me a message. As always enjoy your week.Theresa

Oh my goodness! Do you ever buy a stamp set on a bit of a whim and then absolutely fall in love with it? Well, the Country Flowers Bundle was that for me. I'm a sucker for a teapot (both real and stamped!), and I also love a set that provides the opportunity to colour in, so this one made its way into my shopping cart. For this card, I paired it with Country Lace DSP, and used that to base my colour scheme on. I coloured the image using Blends in Smoky Slate, Misty Moonlight and Boho Blue. I am also loving the Spotlight on Nature dies - circles in lots of sizes with pretty detailed borders. These are getting quite a workout! I'll be back with another card soon!
