Sometimes a simple thing can lead to lots of ideas for art and design projects......many of the things we found when clearing out granny's attic last year have been waiting in my studio to be used when the moment is right......... ...............a year or two ago i made some paper gift packets using children's book pages (from old and damaged books!).......and now i have used the idea here with some pages from an old gardening book we found, partly damaged and deteriorated but with some pages still usable for collage and crafting.... ..........i needed some printed text pages for a recent magazine project, and then went on to make this gift packet....you place a small gift or some sweets on a piece of paper, place a matching piece on top and machine or hand sew round the two so the gift is enclosed.......then decorate the outside with rubber stamps, flowers cut from rosy fabric or paper, then tie up with raffia and add a heart button and tag....... ..........it can be torn open along one of the handily perforated stitched sides....................... ................i also made a decorated romantic wrapper for a white candle......(as with all candles do not leave this one unattended)......it is even nicer if you have a rosy matchbox to light it with............. ...............it has been tulip week here at helen's house......i bought a few inexpensive bunches at the local greengrocer's and have enjoyed them soo much.........here is one bright bunch with the new crafts beautiful magazine....the blue birdie on the cover is part of my project in this month's issue which is filled to the brim with spring crafting....... ..........more of my cheery tulips........... .........i mentioned some time ago that i was busy working on blossom and birdie designs for spring and now they are all appearing.........world of cross stitching commissioned four spring samplers from me for their special giveaway chart book and it is now available........for more information go here..... .......and i created a new little home sampler for cross stitcher magazine....when i saw that the magazine photographer had styled it beautifully with paints and brushes i thought i'd plonk it onto my studio table among my own paints and brushes and current illustration projects for a quick picture..... .............one day last week i stepped out of the house and felt as if spring was in the air....a mildness and a brightness....and lots of strong looking green shoots and bulbs growing in the front garden..... but then came the gale force winds and lots of gloom and rain for a few days........but it won't be long now till it really is spring :)........ .............thank you for all the bunny love in my last post....the giveaway for miss hyacinth is still open until february 11 so there is still plenty of time if you would like to add your name to the draw.......i have so enjoyed reading your lovely comments and finding new blogs to visit too.........wishing you all a wonderful week with sunny days and happy crafty times..........back soon xxxxxxooooooxxxx

These unique gift cards are exclusive to Empire Line Stamps. I develop short run batches of printed products for gifting and crafts. The original images come from my collection and I also offer these designs as clear stamps. In this set you have cutout hands in different sizes to use as cards, tags or craft elements. The tags are printed on 200gsm Kraft paper. Each pack has two designs of hands in three sizes - in total 10 hands: - One each large (approx 12 cm/4.75 inches high) - Two each medium (approx 6cm/2.5 inches high) - Two each small (approx 3cm/1.15 inches high) Professionally packaged ready for gifting or using.
The perfect simple charm to add onto any tag or stand alone on a harness/collar to let everyone know your loved one is microchipped. These micro tags are 1/2" in diameter. I stamp each tag by hand using various metal stamps and a hammer - that's right - no machines! The stamps are a set size, so the scale of the design will vary depending on the design you choose. Tags are made out of nickel (silver color) & brass (gold color) because of their durability and not being prone to tarnish - perfect for any pet, even the more adventurous ones who love being outdoors! All tags will come with one 12mm split ring. All stamping blanks are purchased by metal fabricators in the US! Follow us on Instagram for discounts, updates, and giveaways! https://www.instagram.com/stampedwithwonder/ *Care tips: because the tags are made from real metal, ink may fade or tarnish may happen over time - simply use a black sharpie to fill it back in and buff/polish the tag with #0000 steel wool!

Happy Tuesday My Blogger Friends! To WIND DOWN the Holiday Season ........ I have a FUN Holiday gift tag cube to share with you today. I used product from both the 2020-2021 Stampin' UP! Annual Catalog ...... as well as the 2020 Stampin' UP! Mini Holiday Catalog. So...... let's jump right in with my fun little Holiday gift tag cube project. This DARLING little cube of tags made the PERFECT hostess gift this Christmas. I wanted to make something SPECIAL for someone who was swinging by to drop something off to me ....... But I was SHORT on time. I came up with this little 2x2 cube that was filled with gift tags ...... And I must admit ...... It surpised me on how CUTE it turned out. This cube has a belly band that slides on and off ........ And when you take off the belly band ........ there are 9 little gift tags tucked inside the cube. I made 3 of each color ....... And used the 'Heartwarming Hugs' Designer Series Paper to accent the bottom of each tag. Just couldn't be HAPPIER with the way this project turned out. What do you think my friends???? Thanks for joining me today! I'll be back tomorrow to share more Holiday projects with you ........ Hope you can make plans to stop back and join me for that share. Keep Living Your Dream!
For those of you who like my Bible Journaling pages that I usually share on Tuesday, it might be awhile before I show any more pages as I have so many cards to post! Summer time is a busy time for me to make cards as I have five summer babies and two anniversaries. I already showed you Alethea's Birthday card last week, this week I have Ashley and Jason's Anniversary card to show. This is a card that looks so simple, but it actually took me about three hours to make. Isn't that ridiculous? There's a lot of detail in this card that isn't noticeable right away. I did get this sketch off the Internet, but for the life of me I can't find it again. I suppose it doesn't really matter as I used completely different stamps and supplies, so other than the sketch, it doesn't look much like the original at all. Now, lets get on to why this card took three hours to make. First, I stamped retired Stampin' Up! "Roses in Winter" in white on the edge of the Kraft card stock. Then I stamped a retired Stampin' Up! background stamp in clear ink. I then covered the entire Kraft card stock with Gesso. Then I sewed the Kraft card stock to the white card base. Now, to make the tag, I cut it out of vanilla card stock with a Spellbinder's Nestability Tag. I put a grommet in the tag hole. I stamped another retired Stampin' Up "French Script" onto the tag. I wanted a more 'aged' look, so I applied Gesso to the tag, that blurred the words a bit but it still was not 'aged' enough for me. So then I took a thin coat of white craft paint over that. a piece of hemp was strung through the grommet and the tag was mounted up on the card with dimensionals. Finally, I cut the flowers, leaves, and "love" sentiment with more dies. I wanted the "love" sentiment to pop more so I put in on a small piece of green card stock. Pearls were added for embellishment. I was really pleased with how the card turned out, but not pleased at all with how much time it took to make. Yikes! Have A Great Day! Hello there, today I have two tags to share with you using the Spellbinders Small Die of the Month Club Kit. This month it is all about decorative edges. There are 8 dies in the kit that you can use to create decorative edges for your projects. You can stack them up or you can use them separately like I have done to create a decorative accent. I started off by die cutting two tags using the FSJ Tag Steel Rule Die Set from white cardstock. I then added one of the decorative edges dies on to the tag and die cut this further. I used a different edge on each tag. I then created a background to show through using alcohol inks on Yupo Paper. I used pinks and oranges. I left the pieces to dry and then die cut them with the same tag die and adhered them behind the tag with tape runner. I also die cut two more white ones to put on the back to give them a neat finish. For the front of the tags, I foiled elements from Yana's Foliage Border set, as well as Yana's Organic Foliage set. I foiled them on to white cardstock with Silver Foil. The sets do come with coordinating cutting dies, but unfortunately, I did not leave enough gap between the foiling so I fussy cut them out with scissors instead. I then foiled sentiments from the Everyday Sentiments II set and cut them in to strips. I coloured the flowers with Copic Markers (R22, R20, YR31) and then adhered everything to the front of the tags with either foam squares or tape runner. I then embellished with FSJ Silver Fashion Embellishments and added twine through the top of the tags to finish. SUPPLIES: Here are the links to what I have used on the card.
