Creating curves in cross stitching can be a challenge. Standard cross stitches may have a jagged appearance, so it can be difficult to create the appearance of a curve. You might want to make a curve for cursive letters, a shape, or as a...

Once upon a time I asked my sister what kind of crochet blanket she would like, as I had plans to make one for both her and my other sister. She asked for different shades of pink with black in a zigzag pattern. I think this design meets the brief quite well. I hope to have it completed by her birth
Digital chart and instructions in English (US terms) with detailed photos for creating the Flamingo pattern pack in mosaic crochet. This pattern uses the overlay mosaic crochet technique. Create beautiful summery flamingos with tropical sunsets and beachy horizons. This pattern includes instructions for a bag, drink coasters, and flat panels to create pillows, blankets, table runners, scarves and more. You can customize the background colors, and use the multiple charts to arrange your flamingos in rows or facing each other. This is an intermediate level mosaic crochet pattern. The pattern is chart based and NOT written row by row. These charts have several special stitches, and each pattern includes a detailed photo tutorial of those stitches, as well as reference photos for completed rows. If you're new to mosaic crochet there are links to video tutorials within the pattern to help teach you the technique and how to read a chart pattern. This is an original pattern designed by Alexis Sixel. Do not copy, share or distribute these patterns. A pattern for cozy cats, made in Overlay Mosaic Crochet (US English and Dutch). Working from right to left only (or left to right when left handed), alternating colors, cutting yarn after every row. This pattern does not teach you the Overlay Mosaic Technique, although basic instructions and links to tutorials are given. Pattern includes two options. One continuous version and a version with no half kitties. The continuous version can be made in any size you would like :) Both version have a row by row written pattern and a chart over multiple pages and a total chart on separate PDF. Any hook size or yarn can be used for this pattern. Size will change with bigger hook, but it will not affect the design. Yarn used for examples is listed in the pattern (approx. 950 meter of each color for blanket 90x100cm with 5mm hook). Thank you for considering the purchase of this pattern! Interested in more of my work? Join my Facebook group ‘CrazyCrochetCatlady’! I am really excited to share this next design with you. When I first started designing these C2C blankets, I made this 6 color plus blanket. “Four Heart Knot” is an overlay mosaic crochet pattern, made “in the round” which means from the center , with no need to cut the yarn after each row. This method is perfect to start working with the mosaic crochet technique as it does not leave you with multiple yarn ends as mosaic in rows does. As it include the full chart, the written row by row instructions and the video tutorial, it’s the perfect project to give a try this technique ! If you doesn’t need the full tutorial and just need the chart, it is available for FREE on the folder of my facebook group : https://www.facebook.com/groups/2918850561738913/ This pattern doesn’t need specific gauge. Dimensions will vary depending on the yarn and hook size used. But to give you some indication, using an arran coton and a 4mm hook, the square measured 36 x 36 cm. A 8/4 coton and 3mm hook, the square measured 27 x 27 cm. You will need around 100m of each color for one square. The possibilities with this square are endless: With a second square you could make a pillow. Or what to think of a handbag or even a blanket ! In the youtube video I will focus on how to turn the square into a little stowage pocket, with 2 or 4 compartments…. Just be creative and have fun !

Brioche Waves pattern includes complete instructions to complete the blanket and the cowl shown in the pictures. It also contains lots of pictures explaining all the tricky and difficult places. Materials: Yarn in 2-4 colors. For blanket I used yarn “Colour crafter” and “Colour Crafter Velvet” yarn by Scheepjes in shades:1063, 844, 845. And “Merino Soft” for the cowl in shades: 605 and 610. Crochet hook 4-4.5 mm (G-US7) or the size that will give an acceptable gauge. Scissors and Tapestry needle to weave the ends in.

I made two patterns for this tile and I’m giving gift again. This pattern contains written instructions and a chart for one of the two crocheted square mosaic motifs (see main photo). This pattern also contains one more chart without written text, only chart! This tile is made asymmetrically. It’s really simple! Just rotate the chart 90 degrees clockwise or carefully read instructions. Pattern is available in English only. The charts are created using two different colors. I used unmercerized but strong cotton thread 306 yards per 100 gr. Crochet hook No2.5. Finished size of main tile 18 cm (approx. 7”) square, weight — 33 g. Any yarn and appropriately sized hook can be used to make this pattern but you will get a different size square. Acrylic yarns, cotton or a mixed fiber all will work well. “Tiva Tile” is made in 22 rounds, starting with a magic circle. Tile is crocheted in the round from the center and outward, using mosaic overlay crochet technique. The technique is not difficult, just pay close attention to the stitch placement in the chart. You will need to already be comfortable with the BLOsc / FLOdc technique of mosaic crochet worked from a chart and also foundation single crochet. Stitches used are (all in US terms): slip stitch, chain stitch, single crochet in back loop only, double crochet in front loop only.

This is a pattern to crochet your own Big Paws blanket which is covered in large paw prints. You can download the pattern in PDF form immediately after payment. You will not receive a finished item (or a dog), you make it yourself using my pattern. I'm sure any cat or dog would love to have this blanket on his or her bed. This design is dedicated to and inspired by Bongo, our lovely Manchester Terrier who died aged thirteen and a half in the Summer of 2021. I named it Big Paws because when we became ready to welcome another dog into our life, there were very Big Paws to fill. RIP Bongo, we will love and miss you always. xx After payment you will have access to two files, one is written in UK terminology and the second is written in US terminology. It is 23 pages long and in full colour with photo tutorials comprising no fewer than 39 instructional photographs walking you through everything. The pattern is written in English. The pattern caters for the following widths of blanket 25 in, (34 in, 43 in, 52 in, 61 in) / 62.5 cm (85 cm, 107.5 cm, 130 cm, 152.5 cm). Length as desired. The blanket photographed is 43 in x 32 in (107.5 cm x 80 cm) and crocheted in Stylecraft Batik yarn but any double crochet (8ply) yarn may be substituted. To make the blanket shown a total of 16 x 50g (2,208m) of Stylecraft Batik was used in a variety of colours. Overlay mosaic technique is used throughout the body of the blanket. Two colours are alternated, one colour per row. A full explanation of how to work overlay mosaic crochet stitches is contained within the pattern but visual learners may wish to familiarise themselves with these two stitches in advance of purchase by viewing them on one of the many videos available on YouTube. The pattern also includes a detailed tutorial on how to make the double border shown on the blanket. The border tidies up all the yarn tails left over at the end of the work so there are only five ends to sew in even though I've used so many colours! A chart is provided (with 'x's) for experienced crocheters but you do not have to read charts to make this blanket, every row is written out in full as well. The only stitches which may not be familiar to are: UK: dc-blo double crochet back loop only tr-flo treble crochet front loop only USA: sc-blo single crochet back loop only dc-flo double crochet front loop only If you are a beginner with a little experience, the technique is easy to learn and I am always available by e-mail to help, just message me. I don't do videos for my patterns but the included photographic tutorials are very comprehensive. A typical hook to use is 4mm (G). Depending on yarn thickness, you may have to adjust hook size to achieve the correct gauge. All patterns are for your personal use only and are subject to copyright. Patterns should not be reproduced or distributed without my specific permission. You may sell items hand made with my patterns.
