Today's card is another one I made using the 'Tile Effect' technique and was made for Michelle, a member of the card swap group, for her birthday last week. The top section of a Whisper White panel was scored at 1cm intervals to make the tile effect and lightly sponged with Crumb Cake. The flowers from Stippled Blossoms were then stamped using Raspberry Ripple and Pink Pirouette with the leaves in Old Olive. A sentiment from Happiest Birthday Wishes was added and a knot of Raspberry Ripple Stitched Satin ribbon tied around the panel before matting onto a Raspberry Ripple card blank. The Stippled Blossoms flowers have a sort of vintage-y look about them so I think they really suit this technique. Have you had a chance to browse the new catalogue yet? What a lot of lovely new products there are and my 'wish list' grows each time I look! If you would like to purchase anything (and take advantage of my free p&p offer) then please get in touch and I'll be happy to help. Until next time - Happy Crafting Margaret x
It's Sunday so that means it's time for another Red Hot Stampers' sketch challenge card. I finally bought the Stippled Blossoms set and used it for our challenge this week. I really like how this card turned out. Not that I don't like my other cards, but sometimes some cards just stand out more than others to me. :) Don't forget to check the Red Hot Stampers' blog HERE to see what the other ladies made. Lots of great, but different ideas using this design. Why not give it a try yourself this week and show us what you made? :) I actually did something on the inside of the card this time too. :) Thanks for looking and have a great day! Stamp Set: Stippled Blossoms Card Stock: Elegant Eggplant & Very Vanilla Classic Stampin' Pads: Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant, Certainly Celery & Old Olive Embossing Folder: Fancy Fan Punches: 1 1/4" Square & 1 3/8" Square Jewels: Basic Pearls Shimmer Paint: Champagne Mist
Concentrating on the soon to be retiring colors, I created this card today. Pretty In Pink, Celery and Regal Rose all will be going but not the Old Olive. Thankfully so since this is my favorite green. Stippled Blossoms set on Whisper White cardstock with sentiment from Just Believe. Ink colors: Pretty in Pink with Regal Rose for flowers, Certainly Celery and Old Olive for leaves. The green strip is retired SU designer paper but I don't know the name of it, it was in with my mixed papers.
I am so loving this new Stippled Blossoms set. Today, I have used Bashful Blue and Midnight Muse for the roses and Lucky Limeade for the leaves. The card base is Midnight Muse, and the layers of Wh…

Stippled Blossom creates perfect subtle flowers for my sympathy card today. The smaller flowers are stamped first with So Saffron & the detail is added with Daffodil Delight. The larger flower is stamped first with Crisp Cantaloupe & then with Calypso Coral. The sentiment from Love & Sympathy is stamped with Early Espresso Ink. If you would like the Love & Sympathy stamp […]

Happy Tuesday, I have a card to share with you for this week's The Paper Players Challenge. This week's theme is "Mother" Since I'm posting 3 different cards for 3 different challenges, I will make this short and sweet. Card Recipe: Paper: Authentique Collection: Flourish (I like the soft vintage look), Pool Party Stamps: SU! Stippled Blossoms and SU! Con Amor, Mama Ink: Smokey Slate and Pool Party Accessories: Square Lattice embossing folder, pearls, large oval punch, scallop oval punch Thanks for stopping by,
Love this sentiment from the stamp set Trust God--"Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly, and leave the rest to God." Such a good reminder to do what we can and stop worrying about what we cannot control. I made this card this weekend at my scrapbooking retreat, using the Stippled Blossoms stamp set. "Stippled" refers to the way the image is made up of hundreds of little tiny dots, like an Impressionist painting. Stippled Blossoms is also a 2-Step Stampin' set, which provides the beautiful color variations you see on this sample... and it's SO EASY! You stamp...

This year my grandmother (or Oma as us dutchies call them) turns 85! I'm going to make the hour drive down the country to visit her for this special occasion. I decided to use the beautiful stamp set Stippled Blossoms. I've had this stamp set in my stash for a while but haven't used it yet. I got some inspiration from a fantastic Australian Stampin' Up! demo, Narelle Farrugia (Click here to see her blog) by using lots of layers. I love the two step stamping technique of this stamp set too by stamping the lighter colour first and then the darker on top. I just love the way it turned out and hope Oma likes it too! Crisp Cantaloupe is my favorite color right now. It's soft and warm and oh so pretty! And Stampin' Up! has some gorgeous designer series papers in this color. For today's card I pulled in several of such papers and did a little paper tearing for a shabby vintage look! Have you been seeing birds in all the stores? Everywhere I go it seems they have birds and bird nests…maybe because it's almost Spring. I added a sweet little bird on my card for a bit of fun :-) The beautiful flower in the center was fussy cut from a sheet

Hi all, we have another color challenge this week at Create with Connie & Mary. Deciding to go for a floral card was a pretty easy decision given these colors. I chose Stippled Blossoms and did lots of 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation stamping and fussy cutting to come up with this card: The two darker roses were stamped using Raspberry Ripple stamped off twice for the background and full strength for the highlights. The lighter rose was stamped using Pretty in Pink full strength for the background and Raspberry Ripple stamped off twice for the highlights. Thanks for looking. Head on over to Create with Connie & Mary to see what the rest of the challenge team has come up with. Products used (all Stampin' Up!): Stamps: Stippled Blossoms; Made for You Cardstock: Very Vanilla; Lucky Limeade; 2012-14 In Color DSP; 2011-13 In Color DSP; Subtles DSP Ink: Pretty in Pink; Raspberry Ripple Lucky Limeade Accessories: Apothecary Accents Framelits; Lacy Brocade EF; Basic Pearls Cheers Karren

Welcome back to the second instalment in my two-part "series" of Stippled Blossoms cards, showing what we made in classes this month. This card is my personal favourite, of all four we made - and it was a hit with my class attendees. Stippled Blossoms works so well with a range of colours; and in neutrals, it's stunning. Even though I designed this card as a sympathy card, I think it would work just as well as a wedding or engagement card, or even a 'get well' or 'thinking of you' card. Stamps: Stippled Blossoms, Itty Bitties, Petite Pairs Card: Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake Ink: Crumb Cake and Soft Suede stampin' pads Other: Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder, 1 3/8" Circle punch, Itty Bitty Shapes circle punch, Designer Builder Brads, Stamp-a-ma-jig, 7/8" Cotton Ribbon Lastly, we made a card in blues, using two retiring colours - Not Quite Navy, and Baja Breeze. Stamps: Stippled Blossoms, Blooming With Kindness Card: Not Quite Navy, Whisper White, Baja Breeze Ink: Not Quite Navy, Baja Breeze and Old Olive stampin' pads Other: Stamp-a-ma-jig, Apothecary Accents framelits, Essentials Paper-Piercing pack, Stampin' Pierce Mat and Paper-Piercing tool, Lacy Brocade embossing folder, Silver Mini Brads, sponge dauber, Whisper White 1/4" stitched grosgrain ribbon, glue dots, stampin' dimensionals
In a recent edition of Australian Cardmaking Stamping & Papercraft there were a series of 10 Quick Cards made by Julie Dudley show casing the Stampin' Up Decorative Labels Punch. Julie's cards were made with non Stampin' Up DSP and cardstock, however I really liked what Julie had done with the Decorative Label punch in the design of her cards so I put my spin on it and created these three cards. On two of the cards I stamped the Very Vintage and Music Notes Stampin' Wheel using Sahara Sand ink on Naturals White cardstock. For the other card I stamped the Music Notes Stampin' Wheel and the Leaf/Branch stamp from the Summer Silhouettes stamp set using Sahara Sand ink on Naturals White cardstock. I did stamp off some of the ink to give the stamped image a muted tone. The DSP is Sahara Sand from the Neutrals Paper Stack with the little flowers made using the 7/8" scallop punch. I punched out 5 scallop circles, misted them with water, layered them together and put a hole through the centre and using a brad joined together. The layers were then lightly scrunched up towards the middle and then teased out until you are happy with the shape of your flower. Once dry the flowers are used to create the posy on the Decorative Labels punched out piece. The leaves were made using Old Olive ink and the Stippled Blossoms stamp set. Sentiments are from the Itty Bitty Banners Stamp Set and the matching Bitty Banners Framelits. A linen thread with a neutrals button added to finish the card. All the edges of the cardstock and DSP have been inked with Sahara Sand. Share:facebook - twitter - pinterest Sahara Sand ...
Happy Saturday Peeps!! So sorry for being so quiet here on the blog lately, I thought I would pop in for a minute and share a card that I made for the Color Challenge this week at SplitcoastStampers. I am guest designing with all the color ladies this month and it is so fun! I hope you will join us! The colors this week come from the fabulous Vicki Dutcher, you can visit her blog All I Do Is Stamp or enjoy her beautiful Gallery Here. The colors she picked for us this week are : A Beautiful Blue Pallet, I was a bit nervous, since my stamping mojo has been on hiatus lately and I knew I wanted to make a card with flowers, my comfort zone! I actually made two cards trying to make something I really liked, but when you have your heart set on flowers and the colors are blue you have to stretch the imagination just a bit... I love these flowers regardless of the colors, the Stampin Up Stippled Blossoms are a perfect set in my opinion. The sentiment is from the Wetlands set, another pretty set! The second card I am showing you is actually the first one I made, very CAS. Dont'you love this flower set? The Stampin Up Too Kind is another fave of mine this catalog. I wanted to take a minute to show you the wood crafts I have been working on lately: I have been selling these at a local store in my area and a few things to family and friends. I will also be taking order for my ever so popular Christmas Tree Ornaments Shoot me an e-mail if you are wanting some. Thanks for stopping by today! Vicki
I wanted to send a friend a card this week to let her know that I am thinking of her. She has quite a lot going on in her life and sometimes it’s nice to know people care. I found this great…
My Birthday was Sunday, April 19th. It is a very popular day for Birthdays. Not only did I share it with my Dad's Brother (Uncle Phil), I also shared it with my Mom's Brother (Uncle Faye). They have both passed now. I have many years of memories celebrating with my Uncle Phil. I was born ... Read More about Happy Birthday – Postage Due & Stippled Blossoms
Ahhhh, it feels so good to stamp for challenges again! I finally gained a little time to do so and with school starting up again soon, I'll have even more time! Yay! I also got a new camera, so these are experimental pictures. I stamped this card for Create with Connie and Mary Challenge 263, which is a sketch challenge. For the color part, I used The Paper Players 158. I started by rolling out my Travel Journal and Viola's Lace wheels in Pear Pizzaz ink on Vanilla cardstock. I trimmed out the lacey side of the strip. Next, I stamped the flowers from Stippled Blossoms in Crisp Cantaloupe and Strawberry Slush and cut them out. I stamped a few leaves in Pear Pizzaz and cut them out also. Everything was layered onto a Crumb Cake base that I had dry embossed with the Honeycomb EF. I played with the arrangement of the flowers a bit and finally settled on this. I couple of them are popped up on dimensionals. A few pearls in the center and a flag sentiment and it's done! Stamps: Stippled Blossoms, Gifts of Kindness, Travel Journal & Viola's Lace Wheels Paper: Crumb Cake, Vanilla Ink: Strawberry Slush, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pear Pizzaz, Crumb Cake Accessories: Honeycomb EF, Pearls Any of these supplies can be purchased at my SU website. Thanks for taking a peek! Jenny
Hello there its nearly the weekend again. This week was somewhat quieter for me and managed to catch up on some much needed and long overdue admin. I still need to transfer my swap photo from my phone to my computer so that I can share it with you so I am sharing another special card I made in April for Angie one of my new downline using the same set stippled Blossoms. I am always fascinated by two step stamp sets, they are sooo detailed and beautiful and this set is no exception. Baja Breeze, Night of Navy and Crumb Cake is the colour combo and a trusted layout that I use a lot when I am stuck for inspiration. The flowers were stamped and cut out then mounted on the Natural Composition card, I really like this special card it comes embossed in pretty patterns and its sturdy enough for boxes and even card bases, very pretty. Seam bonding in Crumb Cake and my *I can craft without it at the minute* Smooch Spritz I use it for everything I make . I was meant to start my This and That online class but due to the low demand for it I am sad to announce that it won’t happen. I have however started work on mine so I will be sure to show you what I’ve been up to. Thank you for stopping by and visiting me, I am hoping to see you again very soon. Much love xxx Technorati Tags: stampin up,stippled blossoms, stampin up uk,monica gale, join my stampin up team, business opportunity
