This one belongs to a friend now. Love the circle motif. Need to make more like this.
This is a fabric tapestry. No batting, no quilting. Just patchwork, stitched onto a fabric foundation and backed with a whole cloth panel.
"Crow Country" by Monica McGregor. She named this quilt in honor of quilter Nancy Crow. Interesting how the light X blocks are surrounded with dark sashing, and the dark X blocks are surrounded by light sashing. Very nice! Thank you to Bridget for telling me who made this quilt!
Now belongs to a friend who says it will go perfectly with her purple and green rug and red couch. Or something like that. And it will!
I'm intrigued with the way scale indicates depth in this piece. I want to push it further. I see a series.

Contemporary small art quilt, completely hand sewn using colours inspired by nature. This small art quilt will make a stylish, decorative addition to any wall or table. Handmade in my Nottingham studio using collaged vintage fabric pieces; slow stitched with embroidery in soft shades of sage green and yellow ochre. The edges have been neatly bound by hand and on the reverse, another piece of vintage fabric featuring embroidered leaf detail. This piece of decorative textile art will add a touch of contemporary style to any interior with it's neutral colours, whether hanging on a wall or placed on an occasional table as a decorative piece. If the piece is to be hung, your own hanger, clips or frame is required. Measures: 14cm x 14cm. Recommended Cleaning Instructions: The piece is best cleaned by occasionally using a soft clean brush or lint remover to gently remove any surface dust. Please Note: Colours may vary slightly to those shown due to different screen settings, but I do try to show as true representation as possible of the colours in the images.

I stitch all day on the front side of my quilts. The journey from idea to final is often full of surprises. I look for that in each piece like finding a needle among pins.
