Using favorite read aloud books is a great way to create fun and hands-on activities to challenge your students' thinking and problem-solving skills. This Run, Turkey, Run! storytime STEM Challenge allows your students to collaborate while extending their knowledge and creative thinking skills. After reading and discussing the book Run, Turkey, Run!, divide your students into small groups. Groups of 3 work well and provide opportunities for your students to collaborate, communicate and use critical thinking skills to build, create and explore while working on the challenge. Use the pre-challenge discussion questions to help spark your students’ interest and curiosity.
