Writings included in this anthology are winning entries in the 2017 Write To Win Contest for Oklahoma Students and Teachers, sponsored by the Oklahoma Writing Project. Students and teachers from across the state are encouraged to enter their writings in the annual competition. Judges select the top 10 percent from each category as winners. This year there were almost 400 entries from 49 teachers. The anthology was printed at no cost to the citizens of Oklahoma. This annual contest is open to Oklahoma teachers of all grade levels and subject areas. OWP's goal is to have a thousand entries from a hundred teachers in the 2018 contest.
