Hi, friends! I'm delighted to be part of Studio Katia's 2nd Anniversary celebrations! Studio Katia has just released 6 new Clear Stamp Sets and 4 sets of Coordinating Dies, 4 new stand alone Creative Dies, 2 new Stencils and new Embellishments. There has been so much inspiration from the Studio Katia design team on their blog and social media. You're about to see so much more in this two-day Anniversary Blog Hop! I made two cards using five of the new products. Both share the same colours but look entirely different. It's easier and convenient for me to keep creating once I have my colours picked! This first one features Lovely Blooms, Stitch Borders and Birthday Greetings. I stamped the blooms on watercolour cardstock with black pigment ink and heat embossed the image with clear embossing powder. Then I watercoloured with distress inks, all of which are listed below. These blooms are absolutely stunning and therapeutic to colour! I'm pretty sure these will end up on loads of cards. To create the background, I used all four of the greens I used for the foliage and smooshed them on to a large acrylic block, misted the ink and smooshed the block on to a panel of watercolour cardstock. After the panel dried, I used the largest of the Stitch Borders dies and die cut two rows at both ends of the panel. To finish, I heat embossed a sentiment from Birthday Greetings, one which fit nicely into the little nook created by the blooms. My second card features the Kobi Bearing Gifts stamp set and coordinating dies. As I mentioned earlier, I heat embossed the images and watercoloured them with distress inks. Then I used the same colours and sponge daubers with the Bubbles Stencil to create the background, which was die cut with the Dotted Patterns - Set 1 die set. I sponged around the top left- and bottom-right corners of the card base using the same six colours before adhering the popped up frame and inside panel. I also added adorable and super shiny Crystal Stars Sequins to the ground to anchor Kobi. Here's the full hop list for today: Studio Katia Jennifer McGuire Vicky Papaioannou May Sukyong Park Svitlana Shayevich Anna Kossakovskaya Cathy Zielske Kristina Werner Emily Midgett Galina Filippenko Emily Leiphart [You are here.] Ilda Dias [Go here next!] Nina Marie Trapani Rosali Bartz Rubeena Ianigro Michelle Short Kaja Vezenšek Svetlana Pavlova Amy Rysavy Erica A-b Laura Volpes Zsofia Molnar Studio Katia is giving away TWO $100 CAD Gift Certificates on both days of the Blog Hop! Here is A Blog Named Hero Bling It Up Challenge with Studio Katia, below is the challenge photo: And here is the card I made to attend this challenge: I applied iridescent Gelatos directly on Hero Arts' peacock stamp (CG184), sprinkled with water, and stamped on the watercolor paper. I also applied the iridescent Gelatos on the peacock die cut and brushed the clear Wink of the Stella on top. I attached the die cut peacock besides the stamped peacock. I also applied Tonic Studios Nuvo's crystal drops, glitter drops, and jewel drops on these two peacocks. Finish the card by stamping "Hello, Beautiful" on top and "You're not along" at the bottom. I love the iridescent shine of the whole card. Below is another look of the card: Supplies: Cardstock: MFT, watercolor paper Stamps: Hero Arts, MFT Ink Pads: Memento, Stampin' Up Others: Gelatos, Nuvo by Tonic Studios, clear embossing powder, clear Wink of the Stella pen Thank you for visiting my blog.

About The Artwork It is a medium-sized painting with floral motifs. The painting is a landscape scene, depict a blossoming garden in sunny morning. The colors are bright and vivid, and the brushstrokes are loose and expressive. The overall mood of the painting is one of positive and energetic. Color is an independent expression, the main violin, and composition and textures are the means to help the whole orchestra sound. I use a palette knife to create texture and volume and expressive splatter strokes to create a sense of movement and energy. The artwork is varnish with UV-protecting. I use only high quality paint with light-resistant pigments. Artwork is varnished and ready to hang. Hello dear friends, Hope you are having a wonderful week. Have you started on your Easter Cards yet? Like everything else, Easter will be here before you know it! This card was inspired by the new Gladiolus Set from Studio Katia because it made me think of Easter as soon as I saw it. CARD RECIPE I began by stamping the Gladiolus a few times using watermark ink and then heat embossing it with gold Emb. pwd. onto watercolor paper. I then colored the images using Karin BrushMarker Pro. and die-cut them using the coordinating die and set the images aside. I then die-cut a slimline panel using the frame from the Mini Slimline Small Hearts Cover. Next, I die-cut the cross from the top half of the panel. I also die-cut the same cross using gold foil paper. To the back of the panel, I glued a piece of acetate and added foam to the edges to create the shaker window. I then added the shaker bits to the well and closed the window with another panel. To the front of the shaker window, I then glued the inside of the gold cross. Next, I die-cut the Script Easter Die 3 times, stacked them, and glued them together. To the top, I added a layer of glue and sprinkled Sparkle Glitter for shine. I then stamped the blessings from the Floral Cross and heat embossed it and die cut it using one of the banners from the Peony Trimmings Dies. To finish off the card I added a few scattered Sugar Glitz Discs for a little more sparkle. I absolutely love how this card came together and hope it has inspired you to start on your Easter or Spring Cards. I think this would also make a beautiful sympathy card. Thank you for stopping by and until next time... Happy Crafting!
