Working from home alone can be a dream come true for some designers. I know for me, it's truly a blessing and something I don't take for granted at all. But you do run the risk of becoming too isolated, and as a creative, that could potentially have a negative impact on you and your craft.
The design world can be really competitive, making it tough to stand out as a designer. But one thing you can do to get noticed in a very crowded industry, is to find your uniqueness. Seth Godin called it finding your purple cow! What funny quirks do you have? What are you really good at? What unique qualities can you offer your clients that others just don't do well or at all?
I woke up this morning thinking “Oh crap it’s already May!”? I had to consciously stop myself from freaking out about all the things I haven’t done on my to-do list yet! Isn’t it funny how we automatically focus on what we haven’t done yet, when instead we should be focusing on what we have […]
Creating art for a living is a true privilege and extremely fulfilling. But the act of creating requires some level of vulnerability which could be cause for huge anxiety. Putting yourself out there for the world to see, and possibly criticize, can be daunting and scary. Sometimes even crippling.

As a creative, I spend a lot of time looking for colour inspiration and palette ideas. I think it's fair to say that you don't have to be a designer to know the importance of colour choice in the success of a design.

**Add sumptuous grungyness to your projects with these Tasty Textures!** This juicy pack is a selection of my favourites that I use in my work, all created with various art supplies, put together with great care so you can have quick access to the ever-popular grunge look! The foam roller textures are great for background complexity and the hand drawn seamless patterns are perfect for shapes of any kind, but also make quick backdrops for an authentic hand drawn look. They work brilliantly in packaging, branding, web design, wedding and greeting cards, apparel and loads more! I’ve made sure to include both vector and high-res PNG files for the seamless texture patterns, giving you more design freedom depending on what you’re comfortable using. The foam roller TIFF files are 1200dpi bitmaps which makes them design-ready for both Photoshop and Illustrator (just simply place and colour!). Combine them or use them individually, the possibilities and end results are super fun to see! **Need a little help adding texture to your work?** Here's a quick tutorial on how to achieve the same results as the 3rd preview image: http://www.lisaglanz.com/blog/how-to-use-textures-in-your-designs/ **The 30 tasty textures included PLUS A YUMMY BONUS are:** - 10 x Foam roller textures (1200dpi TIFF) - 10 x Hand drawn seamless patterns (vector: CS3+ and PNG) - 10 x Seamless brush patterns (vector: CS3+ and PNG) - BONUS: 10 x textured brush marks (vector: CS3+ and PNG) --- **Software requirements** - Vector files are compatible with CS3 and newer - PNG and TIFF files compatible with most photo editing software that supports those files types. --- **I'D LOVE TO SEND YOU A FREEBIE!** Get access to a Treasure Trove of **free design resources**: https://subscribe.lisaglanz.com/ **Licence questions?** You can find a quick licence overview here: https://creativemarket.com/licenses And a handy licence FAQ here: https://www.lisaglanz.com/faq/ I’d absolutely love to see what you create with this collection, feel free to tag me on Instagram @glanzgraphics or follow along: https://www.instagram.com/glanzgraphics/ If you have any questions at all just drop me a message, I'm happy to help! Setting up templates for documents you need to create often, like social media posts, can shave hours (if not weeks) off the time you spend in the office. Organising your computer files, creating templates, labelling and naming items properly according to a system can save you weeks. You don't need a complicated system, mine is very simple yet very effective.
