As you can see, by simply adding a few details, you project has a whole new look! Here are the dimensions: Bermuda Bay, 11 X 4-1/4, score at 5-1/2 Coastal Cabana, 5

This set of dies retired with the end of the STAMPIN’ UP! 2020 - 2021 ANNUAL CATALOG. (About 1 year ago) The STYLISH SHAPES DIES are similar, but also quite different. I thought we would take a look at both sets of dies to help give you a better feel for whether or not you want to add the STYLISH SHAPES DIES to your collection! STYLISH SHAPES DIES The STYLISH SHAPES DIES are a set of 15 dies - 5 square dies, 6 circle dies, and 4 banner dies. Each die cuts an edging design that resembles paper piercing (small dots). The edging cuts along the edge of the die cut and along the edge of the negative die cut. This allows you to use the negative die cut on cards for framing images, sentiments, etc. STITCHED SHAPES DIES (RETIRED) The STITCHED SHAPES DIES Is a set that contains a total of 12 dies; 4 squares, 4 circles, and 4 ovals. The dies cut an image that has an edging that appears to be stitched. As opposed to dots (like the STYLISH SHZPES DIES) the stitched edging is achieved with a series of dashes (small lines) that resemble stitching. These dies do not cut a line of stitching on the negative die cut. STYLISH SHAPES DIE CUTS (Click to enlarge.) STITCHED SHAPES DIE CUTS ( Click to enlarge) I like both sets of dies. The STITCHED SHAPES DIES are great for layering as are the STYLISH SHAPES DIES. I like that the STITCHED SHAPES DIES contain the ovals, but I also like the banner dies on the STYLISH SHAPES DIES. The circles and squares in each set are different sizes. This means if you have both sets of dies there are even more options for layering. I feel the “stitching” and the “paper piercing” designs compliment each other. It is a nice feature to have the two rows of edging design on the STYLISH SHAPES DIES as this allows you to use the die cut and the die cut negative with that great edging giving both die cut pieces a great finished look! The STITCHED SHAPES DIES were my “go to”set of dies. I think the STYLISH SHAPES DIES will be another one of my “go to” set of dies! That’s all for today! Thank you for stopping by. Hello and welcome! Today I have a bunch (11 to be exact) of quick, easy and very pretty floral cards to share with you. These are for Just Add Ink's newest challenge - probably the easiest ever - Just add Flowers! These cards are all thanks to 3 gorgeous paper prints from the Hues of Happiness pack. They began with a single card I made as a make and take project for an afternoon tea I organised for my lovely team, customers and crafty friends earlier in June. There are 5 elements to the first card & most of the others: Paper strip 1: Watercolour wash look. It even looks like it has texture (14.4 x 2.5cm / 5.75 x 1 inch) Paper strip 2: Flower cluster (14.4 x 4cm / 5.75 x 1-5/8 inches) Paper 3: Flower & leaves - die cut from a single sheet using the Happiness Abounds bundle dies. I bent the flower edges & shapes to give some more shape. Dimensionals around the edge & glue dot in the centre helps give more shape too. Banner: Stylish Shapes die set - largest banner. Love love love these! Sentiments: Front and inside sentiments from the Happiness Abounds stamp set & die bundle, stamped in Basic Gray or Smoky Slate on Basic White base and banner. Sparkle: Iridescent rhinestones finish off the look. Here are the full set of designs in the Hues of Happiness paper pack, and the 3 sheet designs I used to make all these cards. Note: I mostly used the pink & yellow sections for the cards (I cut the sheet in half to start) as I'd cut the pink and yellow flower sheet, however there's another flower sheet with purple and blue flowers that team beautifully with the blue, purple & green section. Anyway onto the whole set together. I laid them out in a progression of elements. Of course there are a ton more ideas you can make with the same pieces. I just stopped when I ran out of cut pieces. They really were quick to make - and I am a pretty slow cardmaker - and would be beautiful bundled up as a gift for a friend or family member. Take a closer look - Click on the pics for an even better look at each of the cards. These show the simple variations in the original designs and colour variations using the 2 different colour schemes in the paper (still just using only one sheet of flowers. More variations - I tried different sentiments from Happiness Abounds and played around with the strip and flower combinations. Number 4 above and first below have some additional Polished Pink cardstock. Nothing goes to waste - the flowers on the top left card below are partial shapes from around the paper edge. Inside I kept it very simple, combining sentiments from Happiness Abounds. You could use another strip or flower if you wanted to step up the design even more, or even stamp a coordinating flower from the bundle. Phew! That's a lot of cards and pics. I hope you've enjoyed seeing my simple floral designs and try making a bunch of your own. If I make more, I'll share them with you too. If you did like them or have any questions, just leave a comment on the post. Until then, head over to the Just Add Ink blog and see all the beautiful floral creations the team has made to share with you too, then create your own flower project to share with us. Thanks for visiting today. Be sure to check out the full supply list here in my store where you can shop for what you need to make your own. You will LOVE the Hues of Happiness paper. I needed a masculine birthday card and saw the Freshly Made Sketches challenge and thought it would be a good fit. My end results are not quite in keeping with the challenge layout so I'm not going to share it over there but definitely wanted to give credit for the idea! My banners ended up being too wide not leaving enough open space on one side like the sketch. I still love how it came out and it was fun to use the large banner from the new Stylish Shapes die set. I did use colors from the Color Throwdown challenge though so I'll be sharing it over there. These are great guy colors and I was so happy to have DSP for all three! I started with a Night of Navy base, then a layer of Basic White embossed with the Brick & Mortar embossing folder. Next I cut 3 banners and then snipped the end off one side to create the space for the stamped sentiment. I lined the banners up and adhered the pieces with dimensionals. I added a baker's twine bow to the Crushed Curry banner before adhering. I really like the size of this banner die, it can be used for a larger feature on a card front, for sentiments or for trimming and just using the flagged ends. Thanks for looking! Did you stamp today? Stamps: Sweet Ice Cream Ink: Night of Navy Paper: Night of Navy, Basic White, Tea Boutique DSP, Well Suited DSP (retired) Accessories: Brick & Mortar embossing folder, Stylish Shapes dies, dimensionals, baker's twine
