Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew's Bottled Happiness edition! The "Crew" is a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth Monday. If you landed here from Mike's blog, welcome! There are five of us today, so the hop won't take long, but I'm sure it will be fun! Bottled Happiness is a thirteen piece photopolymer stamp set, and it has a matching Vintage Bottle Punch that can be bundled with it to save 10%. There are also some adorable little Vintage Bottle Shaker Domes and Effervescent Elements (pg. 16 in the AC) to make shaker cards, which is what I did for my first card. This went together so quickly, I was surprised! I started with a Merry Merlot card base and used a Blending Brush with Merry Merlot to create the background with two of the Artistic Mix Decorative Masks. After punching the bottle in Basic White, I used Stampin' Write Markers (Merry Merlot, Polished Pink, Melon Mambo, and Granny Apple Green) to ink the two-step stamps and stamped above the bottle. Adding the shaker dome was easy with the adhesive already to go on both sides...just adhere the bottle into the opening, add the shaker elements and a piece of Window Sheet to hold them in place, then pop it up on the card! The next card uses the piece that I punched out from the first card. Photopolymer stamps made it easy to stamp exactly where I wanted using Evening Evergreen. After the bottle was stamped, I pressed it onto a VersaMark pad and heat embossed with clear powder so it looked like glass. The background bottles were stamped in Soft Succulent. I cut down a strip of Natural Finish Ribbon to use behind the greeting and frayed the ends a bit. Speaking of the greeting, I was soooo tempted to add an S at the end, what with all those bottles in the background. 😄 The wine label was stamped in Crumb Cake and Evening Evergreen. I think that color combination is so perfect together! I was feeling the holiday spirit (see what I did there? Heh.) when I made this last card. The need for glitz and glimmer overtook me! I started with the Lights Aglow Specialty Paper and used the colors as inspiration. The background bottle was stamped in Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen, then diluted Crumb Cake ink spatters were added, along with a few stars & sparkles from the Christmas Lights stamp set. Originally the sprigs were going to be Crumb Cake, but I though gold greenery (goldery?) would look better. And to really make the card pop, a fussy cut Merry Merlot bottle to hold them. That's all I have to share for today, so click "Next" to see what Charlet created, or "Previous" to visit Mike again! Hello stampers and happy Saturday to you. Today I am going to be telling you about my Save Your Sanity Stamp Camp. Now you might be wondering, and rightfully so, how did I come up with that name? Well, we all know how busy December can get. Busy, busy, busy. Often busy with doing things for other people. I thought it might be a very good idea to carve out some time to simply have some fun with friends. A creative oasis to save your sanity! Together with four demonstrators on my team I am offering you just that!
Hi crafters, today's card is one I created from a card I saw from Gail Ellis @ Blue Rose Paper Treasures using the bottled happiness stamp set - with out the bottles! The 2 step flowers and leaves were stamped in crumb cake and pacific point down the left hand side of the basic white panel then attached to the thick basic white card base.. The sentiment was then placed over the middle to hide where it didn't quite meet up. I used the label die from the potted succulent dies for this. A little gold trim and some cute brushed brass butterfly embellishments finished off the card nicely. Good morning, Today, I have a beautiful swap card from my friend and fellow demonstrator, Debbie Duval! This card is made of one of my favourite bundles from Stampin Up!: Bottled Happiness. It’s just so gorgeous and versatile; it can be used for pretty much any occasion. In this regard, I would love to point out the creative freedom that you can take to completely transform how you use a stamp set. For example, the easiest way is by changing out the colours that you use. Another option is to mix and match different stamps to create a new image and feel; you don’t have to use the entire stamp each time, if you only want to use the pattern of one part of the stamp, you can do that too! As for the colour coordination in this card, I really enjoy the fact that Debbie matched the blue in the floral pattern into the background as well; it creates a well-planned image and helps tie the whole card together. Not only are they colour-matched, but I really love the subtle little floral print as well, as it has the same soft and rounded floral look the stamps offer. Finally, to add some more details and depth, Debbie used two different embossing folders to create fern leaves and little splatter marks. This texture stands out without adding too much visual clutter and makes the card more interesting to look at. If you want to find the materials and tools that went into making this card, it is all listed below so feel free to recreate this card and share it with me on social media! Good Morning Everyone Happy Monday, I hope you have had a fabulous weekend. We have a four day weekend thanks the the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. 70 years on the Throne - that's some feat! So, we have been very busy enjoying the time. But it's back to it again, 1 full working week and then we are off on our Holidays! Woo Hoo. We cannot wait, it's been a while since we've been away, and It will be the first as a family of four! So it's nose to the grindstone this week to make sure I'm up to date. Please keep your fingers crossed for me haha. As it's a Monday, I want to share with you my entry for this week's Brand New Creative Colour Challenges Combo. I love this combo and I can see it working with all sorts of designs. I've used the Bottled Happiness stamp set to create a sweet greeting card. Measurements Crushed Curry Card Stock 1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8" 1pc - scrap Bermuda Bay Card Stock 1pc - scrap Shaded Spruce Card Stock 1pc - scrap Basic White Card Stock 2pc - 5 3/8" x 3 5/8" --------------------------------------------- Take the Crushed Curry Card Stock and fold along the score line to create your card base, add one of the Basic White pieces to the inside. Stamp the tall bottle in Crushed Curry ink onto the same colour card scrap. Also stamp the shorter bottles in both Bermuda Bay and Shaded Spruce - Fussy Cut the bottles (or you can use the punch for the tall bottle). Arrange these onto your remaining piece of basic white card stock (do not stick down) to get an idea of positioning. Ink up the flower cluster in Crushed Curry and stamp in the centre so it looks to be coming out of the tall central bottle. Use the leaves cluster to fill in the other details in Shaded Spruce. For this step take your time to line up the stamps, I found that I need to get my head right over the stamp to get my alignment correct - but you could your your Stamparatus. Now, make a small pencil mark where the top of the shorter bottles will sit and then stamp the foliage image so that it sit 'in' the bottles and goes off the either side around the larger bunch. Once the ink is dried, rub out the pencil line. Ink up the sentiment in Shaded Spruce ink and pop at the top of the card stock. Add this panel to the card front and then add the bottles with liquid glue and dimensionals to create some depth. I hope you enjoyed my card today, and the Colour Combo I used. If you would like to give it a go, pop on over to my blog to get more details on the Challenges itself, and how to enter. I would love to see how you work with these colours. The new Annual Catalog is amazing. Welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop. We are a group of Demonstrators from around the world that love to Create and share what we do. Hi friends, Here is another sneak peek of another new stamp set in the upcoming Annual catalogue using the Bottled Happiness stamp set (#158684). This is a Two-step stamping set ( but I added an extra step.) I stamped the flowers with Pale Papaya ink (#155670) onto the Basic White card (#159228) using the Stamparatus (#148187). I then used the Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Write Marker from the Regals (#147155) to add some extra colour to “stem of buds” and re-stamped this. Then I stamped the leaves with Soft Succulent ink (#155778). These are very easily to lined up with the photopolymer stamps. I stamped these images at the top & bottom of the card front. I then dry embossed this with the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder (#156505). The sentiment is from the same stamp set and I used Evening Evergreen ink (#155576). A die from the Potted Succulent dies (#154330) was used to cut the sentiment. I also cut a piece of Evening Evergreen card (#155575) with the same die. This was cut in half and matted the sentiment. The cardfront was also matted with Evening Evergreen card. Two pieces of the Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon (#155780) were wrapped around the card front. The sentiment was attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). The Polished Dots (#158134) were added to finish the card. “Love what you do and share what you love.” lesleyjendra.stampinup.net [email protected]
