Have you tried the No Line Watercolouring Technique? I hadn't and decided to test it out using the Daisy Garden stamp. This is a very large stamp so it is best to use a stamp positioner as once the stamp is mounted on an extra large block it gets very heavy and can be difficult
Daisy Garden is a new background stamp that is in the 2021/2022 Stampin’ Up!® Up Annual Catalog. They offer a few different background stamps and I like all of them but this one caught my ey…
Hello everyone, hope you are all having a lovely week. Yesterday on my Facebook live I made this card using the Daisy Garden background stamp. I love Navy and White together - it always looks elegant to me and I think this card does too. The stamp is a background stamp intended to cover the whole of a card front and that makes the design and stamping so much easier. You can choose your main ink according to how or if you want to colour at all. Today I wanted to change the card a little and add a few more elements to make it pop even more. I added a Granny Apple Green cardstock layer on the front and inside, coloured the leaves and stems with the Granny Apple Green Dark blend pen, and coloured my seam binding in both Granny Apple Green and Night of Navy. I love the more colourful version just as much as the original - how about you? To make the card you will need: Night of Navy Cardstock cut at 11 x 4 1/4", scored at 5 1/2". 3/4" x 4" strip for front of card. Basic white Cardstock cut at 5 1/2 x 4 1/4", stamped in Night of Navy ink and then cut down to 3 5/8 x 4 7/8". Basic White cardstock 3 5/8 x 4 7/8" for inside, 1/2" strip for sentiment, cut just longer than 4" to allow placement of sentiment and then trim the overhang. Granny Apple Green cardstock - 2 pieces cut at 3 3/4 x 5" Approx 9" Whisper White seam binding. Dark Granny Apple Green and Daffodil Delight blend pens. Night of Navy ink. Stampin' Up! This is my favorite Daisy card!! I mean Fresh Freesia and Mossy Meadow! WOW, stamp in Versamark and Emboss with Clear embossing powder. An OLD Technique with beautiful results! Fresh Freesia card base. I used the water painter brush to add the Mossy Meadow ink to the leaves. Mossy Meadow marker direct to the stems. I then used the Blending Brushes with the Fresh Freesia ink for the Daisies. A simple sentiment is the only embellishment needed for this card. Give this Technique a try....you will love it! This 18 and a half minute video contains ideas for using the Daisy Garden Stamp/Background set. For the Daisy Garden Full Background Stamp Set, I used a variety of colors and embellishments and a couple of techniques. The first card is in the new Fresh Freesia In Color with In Color Pale Papaya ribbon and flower centers on a Pool Party base. I waited to add a sentiment until I decide exactly for what I will use it. The green is Light Granny Apple, and the Echinachea (Purple Coneflower) were colored with Stampin' Blends alcohol markers. I cute around some of the flowers to create an edge that gives the card a lot of contrast too. What other color combinations would use for a card like this? For this Monochrome style card, I used Daffodil Delight for the card base and ink with BumbleBee gingham ribbon. I also went over the flowers with Wink of Stella glitter brush for sparkle and shine. This card is Fresh Freesia, Petal Pink and Soft Seafoam for a pleasing pastel color scheme with a lot less coloring than the first card. For even less coloring time, try the spotlight technique. I liked the soft edges, but for even more emphasis, you can layer the circle that is colored onto Basic Black or Polished Pink or both in larger size circles. I liked the softer look I used with just the colored circle layered onto a stamped layer. You can die cut several circles from one stamped image, color them and use them with other stamped image layers for several cards too. This card is for one of my downline's new downline. I love helping people save money on their purchases and enjoy a new hobby. If you would like to know more about becoming a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, please email me. Happy Monday Peeps!!! Today's card share is made using the fun Daisy Garden stamp! This is a one stamp set of this beautiful bunch of daisies. I love it, I wanted to try and keep the daises looking white so I started by stamping the image with Gray Granite on Basic White. Let me say, your Stamparatus is so helpful with a large image stamp like this! I colored with my Blends using Old Olive and Mossy Meadow for the leaves and the centers are done with Daffodil Delight. Super simple but coloring those leaves took some time. I ran the entire image piece through my Stampin Cut and Emboss Machine using the Tasteful Textile EF, for some added dimension. My sentiment is from the Sweet as a Peach stamp set an I added a few basic rhinestones for some added sparkle. I love how this turned out and I am sure I will be using it again very soon. My pre-order from the upcoming mini arrived late last week and I got to play a bit over the weekend. So far I am loving all my new goodies. Watch for some sneak peeks this week! Listed below are the "ingredients" used to make this project, (except retired product). If you would like to buy the products for yourself, I would be very happy for you to shop with me. I am loving this Daisy Garden cling red rubber large stamp - so many pretty cards and ideas for it. This card from my Facebook live today uses Night of Navy Cardstock and ink and I just love the elegant look of the navy and white together. Watch for my Youtube video on Wednesday to show a variation on this card too. I love it so much I am going to have a card kit class for it - you can join from anywhere in Canada as it will be a kit with full length video instruction that you can watch anywhere at any time. This very pretty Daisy Garden class uses the large cling stamp and 2 packs of alcohol based Stampin' Blends ( I can change the colours if you already own these ones). The class is a 'to go kit' and has 2 options: Option 1 - The 'Everything kit' is $70 (including shipping within Canada). It includes the Daisy Garden cling stamp set, along with the Daffodil Delight and Soft Succulentcombo blends in light and dark (colours can be changed if you already own these 2). As my Thankyou for taking the class I will include all the supplies and envelopes for 6 cards - 2 each of those shown for FREE! All cutting and embossing is done. ....................................................................................................................................................................... Option 2 - The 'Just the Stamp set' kit is $45 (including shipping within Canada). It includes the Daisy Garden cling stamp set. I was prepping for my stamp camp and was CASE’ing (Copy And Share Everything) a cool bleach technique from another demonstrator, when I decided to venture out with the Daisy Garden Stamp. In playing with bleach, blends, and the new Daisy Garden stamp, I was super stoked to find lots of color change
Daisies have always been one of my favorite flowers. This Background Stamps can be the Focal Point of simply a Background......first a Focal Point. I used my Stamparatus to achieve this 2 color Beauty on a Calypso Coral card base!! I cut the White cardstock 5 1/4 X 4. With the Stamparatus you can color each color and stamp until you get the desired coverage. I see a few spots I could have re-stamped. But love this Botanical look. All you need is a Sentiment! This is a Red Rubber cling atamp and boy does it CLING to the Stamparatus! I colored the leaves with a Pear Pizzazz marker a few at a time and stamped. Re-color until all leaves are stamped. Them Calypso Coral for the Daisies, So easy and I could have added another color for the centers. The stamparatus is a great tool for your craft room! Today I have a lovely daisy card to share that I made for someone special. It was my mom's birthday last week and I managed to make her a card on time, but posting it is another story. I sure wish I loved to write and knew how to put the thoughts from my head onto paper that was enjoyable for others to read AND do it quickly! Anyone else feel that way? This was a fun card to create, but it did take a bit of time. If you love to color then this is the card for you! I stamped the image using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored everything using Stampin' Blends. I also added a bit of Wink of Stella in the center of the flowers to give them a bit of shimmer. All of the colors and products used will be listed below. Basic White So Saffron Granny Apple Green Old Olive Balmy Blue Night of Navy Thanks for looking and have a great day! Sara Remember all products used are listed at the bottom of each post. If you have questions feel free to contact me. Just click "Contact Me" at the top of my blog. Supplies used on this card:
