Welcome to the latest challenge at Colour INKspiration! This sweet confection of a palette was chosen for us by Crew Member Monica Formosa. If you haven't played with us before, we are a group of Stampin' Up Demonstrators from the South Pacific. Challenges are shown and entered via our Facebook Group page. If you don't belong, and would like to, click here. Don't forget to answer the three easy questions you'll be asked when you ask to join the group. Each challenge, Top Picks and a winner are chosen by the crew and the winner offered a chance to Guest Design with us for a future challenge. If you don't have an exact challenge colour, feel free to replace it with whatever you have that's closest, for example Granny Apple Green for Parakeet Party. Black, White, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand and metallics are free colours, as are flesh toned Stampin' Blends. I found this colour group a challenging one. Fortunately, I'd just cracked open a new bundle from the 2023-24 Annual Catalogue, Gorgeously Made. This eclectic set lends itself to a multi-colour treatment. Although it comes with the most fantastic DSP, you can of course, use any colours you want with the stamp set. I made two versions because I couldn't decide which I preferred: the Lemon Lolly foliage or the Crushed Curry. Which do you prefer? One of the many things I like about this set is how much impact, and variety, you can get with just stamps, inks, paper and some die cuts. You can see more about this bundle, get some tips on stamping and see how I made this card in the tutorial below. I also share how to make this lovely decorative edge. We'd love to have you join in the challenge with us. Visit the Colour INKspiration page to check out the album of Crew Cards for inspiration. You can also add your entry there. We all enjoy seeing what you do with our colour palettes, so join in! If you live in New Zealand and don't have a Stampin' Up Demonstrator, I'd love to be yours. I can help you with ideas, get you catalogues and provide you with Stampin' Up products. You can leave a message in the comments or contact me using any of the methods listed in the Contact Me tab at the top of the page. You can shop with me from anywhere in New Zealand by clicking here, or on any of the products below. Gorgeously Made Elegant Monochromatic Card. Tonight I am sharing the card I made using the left over vellum die cut from last Thursday’s YouTube Live. I was having problems getting a really good cut, so didn’t use it on the day. All I actually needed to do was turn the die over so the cutting ... Hello and welcome to my blog. This is my card to entry to Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Highlights for September 2023 - the theme is Thank you. The Gorgeously Made bundle is new to me and I have been very eager to use it! A bouquet of flowers is always a lovely way to say thank you so I thought that this bundle was perfect for the job! My aim was to make a bouquet on a card, so I tried to add as much interest and texture as I could. The Fresh Freesia card base is decorated with a Pretty Peacock layer of the Masterfully Made Designer Series Paper to which I added a layer of Lost Lagoon. One edge of this layer is die cut to look like a sheet of paper torn from a notebook and then it was over stamped with two images from the stamp set - I chose the distressed writing and the textured lines. For a subtle, tone on tone look they were stamped using Lost Lagoon ink, which was first stamped off on to scrap paper. Then the layer was embossed with the Timeworn Type 3-d embossing folder, the edges were inked and the corners crinkled. Lots of processes, but I think they all add to the charm. Next, I stamped, heat embossed and/or die cut lots of foliage using Pretty Peacock, Lost Lagoon and Fresh Freesia card - I love this combination of colours (which comes directly from the DSP). I added a pop of colour with the Lemon Lime Twist leaves and a couple of neutral vellum elements. The flowers are from the Textured Floral set (I couldn't really call it a bouquet without any flowers, could I?) - they are both stamped using Fresh Freesia but one of them was also heat embossed with clear powder to give a darker, shiny effect. To finish off the card I added Baker's Twine to give the hand-tied effect, a die-cut sentiment banner and a trio of Iridescent Pearls. I love how it turned out. I hope you do too. As mentioned at the beginning I am entering Kylie's International Blog Highlights and you can follow the link to the gallery where you will find heaps more inspiration AND you can vote for your favourite five projects. At the end of the voting the Top Ten winners will be invited to take part in a blog hop at the end of the month. I would love to take part in the hop, so I would really appreciate your help. Hello stampers and happy Monday to you. Gloriously Made is a stunning bundle that you may have overlooked in the annual catalog. The dies are my favourite things in this bundle but the stamps are also glorious, pardon the pun. This set is aptly named! The card above was inspired by Jenni Pauli a fellow demonstrator from Germany. I attended her 10 year stampversary event in May and she had a slimline card that inspired this one. I love the soft colours of Lemon Lolly and Soft Sea Foam. Masking Technique Card You can

Hello and welcome to my blog. Earlier in the month, I participated in Kylie Bertucci's International Project Highlights and after the voting had closed I was delighted to find myself in the Top Ten! Thank you so much to everyone who visited the gallery and voted for my card. If you missed it, you can read all about it here. I am absolutely thrilled to be eligible to take part in this winner's hop. For my card for today I have chosen to use the same stamp set, but the overall feel of the card is much softer just by focussing on a different colour! I started with the Fresh Freesia DSP that is decorated with a subtle text and leaf pattern. I added a Pretty Peacock frame, cut with the Scalloped Contour dies, and to that I added a textured layer of Bubble Bath cardstock - if truth were told I was planning on using a layer of Fresh Freesia, but an offcut of Bubble Bath card had been misfiled with my Fresh Freesia! I quite liked this happy accident and went with it! When I'm making a card I usually stamp images in multiple colours so that I can decide, by trial and error, which ones work together. The leftovers often make it on to an alternative card. The majority of the leaves on today's Gorgeously Made card are from one such pile. I simply added a spray in Smoky Slate and a Bubble Bath flower to complement the background. The essence of this card is still the same as my original one. At the centre there is the hand tied bouquet, but the lines are cleaner and the colours are softer. Isn't it fun that we can change the mood of a card by making a few easy tweaks. Thank you so much for visiting today. Click on the names below to hop around and see the other fabulous projects. Enjoy! I hope you have been inspired today - please leave a comment let me know what you think, and if you live in the UK you can purchase these products below. Gorgeously Made Two-Tone Card showcases a handmade thank you card using Stampin' Up! stamps, ink, and paper.
The Control Freaks are planting a virtual garden this month, and you are invited to join us! Debbie Henderson's was absolutely beautiful, don't you think?? This challenge was EASY PEASY (because, be honest, who doesn't own about a GAZILLION floral/nature stamps???!!??) Although I am still mourning the loss of so many good core colors (Mango Melody and Sahara Sand!), I have to admit that I am utterly BEWITCHED by one of the new 2023-2025 In Colors - Pebbled Path! It's the PERFECT combo of almost-gray-almost-brown-but-not-quite-either! It's soooo much prettier in person ... and goes with so dang much! And I had to have this set mostly because of the spiral/stitched die that is in it ... be still my heart! I "stole" this color combo from the ever-impressive Stampin' Up Artisan, Tammy Wilson. That girl is a stampin' WIZARD! I don't think she has EVER made an ugly card! I added a little Bubble Bath to mine, but I am loving this combo! I can't remember the last time I used FIVE different colors on one card! Stamps: Gorgeously Made Paper: Pebbled Path, Mellow Moss, Boho Blue, Bubble Bath, Moody Mauve, Whisper White Ink: Mellow Moss, Pebbled Path, Boho Blue Accessories: Gorgeously Made Dies, Twisted Rope Embossing Folder, Lined Thread I shall have to "carb up" and go to bed early since I have to get up at Zero Dark Thirty (aka 3:30am!) tomorrow morning for the Ogden Half Marathon! I have to keep reminding myself that I MYSELF sign up for these things and pay the entrant fee ... so NO COMPLAINING! Next up? Melissa Davies! Another exquisite garden!
Hi stamping friends! Happy Friday! Welcome and thanks for joining me on my blog today. Today we over at Just Add Ink have a fabulous inspiration picture challenge with a Christmas in July feel - Just Add Ink #661 | Inspiration Picture Challenge. While when looking at our inspiration picture you automatically get the Christmas feels, I was actually inspired by other elements in the picture. As you can see from my card it has nothing to do with Christmas but I was inspired by the circles from the shape of the wreath, the greenery in the wreath and then the leaves and foliage to create my card today. I've used the amazing products from the Stampin' Up! Masterfully Made Suite that is in the current annual catalogue. I have to admit that when I first saw this suite in the catalogue I really didn't think much of it but I purchased it because I liked some of the designs in the DSP. When I got the products home well that was a different story and I think these products are now the ones that I will have to use on all my next creations. I kept the colours the same as what is in the floral DSP - Pretty Peacock, Berry Burst and Fresh Fresia (amazing colour combo by the way). The Basic White layer I stamped off one of the Gorgeously Made Stamps in Berry Burst and then layered some Pretty Peacock cardstock and some of the Masterfully Made DSP. The circle die cut has been layered with on of the dies from the Gorgeously Made Dies for some added texture and then layered some strips of DSP, some Gorgeously Made Die cuts, some linen thread and then the Happy Birthday Sentiment from the Artistically Inked Stamp Set. I've then finished off the card with some of the sequins from the Adhesive-Backed Sequin Trio. The Just Add Ink Design Team have lots of amazing creations for you and to show you what inspired them. You'll be surprised at all the different projects we came up with. We hope that you'll join in this weeks challenge. I can't wait to see you join in and to see what has inspired you this week.
