Hello everyone. I know its really hot at the moment but that doesn't stop me creating for Christmas. Here is another little sneak peek at another Christmas card that I have created with the Whimsy and Wonder suite which is available to buy from August 3rd. When I receive new Christmas products I always see if I can make a shaker card as I love to make them and especially at Christmas. I have used one of the stunning sheets of designer series paper with these beautiful snowflakes and added a few of the trees. The papers from the Whimsy and Wonder suite are amazing with their iridescent foiling. I have been a demonstrator for 3 years and these are the most gorgeous papers I have seen so far. I must buy more. Don't forget the new catalogue goes live from 3rd August and Sale A Bration starts at the same time. This means for every 60 euros or £45 you spend in either the annual or mini catalogue you can choose a free item from the Sale A Bration products. We also have an exciting new joining offer during Sale A Bration. Join my team and receive a bundle for free (Dies/stamps or punch/stamps) from the mini catalogue. Thanks for stopping by today and If you wish to place an order please add me as your demonstrator by heading over to the Stampin' Up! website. Happy Friday my crafty friends! The Stampin' Chic's Team Retreat weekend begins this evening and I can hardly wait! But before I go, I wanted to be sure and share this beautiful Non-Traditional Holiday card with you. This one came about from a creative challenge from an event I'm in. The challenge was to create something using only a few specific pieces of paper. You could add whatever embellishments you like, but COULD NOT add any other paper. This was a really fun one to come up with! I challenge you to do this challenge too! ;-) Here's your paper measurements: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" Cardstock 3 1/4" x 3 1/4" Cardstock 3" x 3" Basic White Cardstock 2" x 5 1/2" Designer Series Paper (DSP) I knew right away that I wanted to do a card featuring the Whimsical Trees Stamp & Die Bundle. It's just so pretty! And the colors in the DSP pack are so pretty! It's a very Non-Traditional color scheme, but I LOVE it! My colors are Mint Macaron and Polished Pink. These are steadily becoming a favorite color combo! So pretty! From this, I knew I was going to create a fancy fold card. In doing so, I was able to "borrow" some additional cardstock from the base. Pretty smart, right? I cut the base down to 6 1/2" x 5 1/2" and gave myself an extra 2" x 5 1/2" piece of cardstock. On that piece of cardstock, I die cut two little trees and stamped/embossed/die cut three little silver trees. As you can see, I made good use of that extra bit! :-D I scored my card base at 4 1/4" to give me a standard A2 size card (when folded). Then, I attached the DSP strip to the front flap of the card. It's a perfect fit with that other 2" cut off. On the Basic White piece, I stamped "May the love...." sentiment in Polished Pink ink and then matted the white piece to the Polished Pink cardstock piece with Stampin' Seal. Then, added Stampin' Seal only to the left side and attached it to the front flap of the card base. I glued the two long trunk skinny trees to the bottom right of the Polished Pink & Basic White panel, and trimmed the excess of the trunks off. One of the short squatty embossed trees was layered over the front of them with dimensionals. The two tall embossed trees were glued to the left side of the panel and then the other short embossed tree was attached with dimensionals in front of them. Stampin' Up ribbon is so beautiful and is a perfect compliment to this card, so I added a bow made from the Polished Pink Open Weave Ribbon. It's attached to the card with a Mini Glue Dot. The final touch to the card was to add the little Polished Pink In-Color Jewels. Viola! I love it! Challenge complete! I ALWAYS SAY "NO naked insides and NO naked envelopes", so I did end up adding a 4" x 51/4" piece of Basic White cardstock to the inside. I stamped a cluster of the trees in Mint Macaron Ink on the inside panel, as well as on the envelope to coordinate. Now it's done! And I'm happy with the results. What do you think? Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you enjoyed my card and will take the challenge too! If you do, I'd love for you to share it in The Stampin' Chic's Group on Facebook! Hi Everyone, I made today's card for the Pootlers Video Hop where we are showcasing products from the new Mini Catalogue. I have chosen the gorgeous Whimsy & Wonder designer series paper to make a Crossover Points Fun Fold card. Click on the link below to see the video tutorial. Video tutorial Materials 1 sheet of A4 polished pink card stock 5 3/4" x 11 1/2" 1 piece of basic white card 5 1/2" square, scrap for the sentiment 1 piece of dsp 5 1/2" square and 1 piece 5 1/4" square 1 piece of silver foil card 5 1/2" square, scrap for the sentiment Perfectly Plaid stamp set Layering Circle dies 2021-2023 In Colour Jewels Misty Moonlight ink Scrap of polished pink ribbon for the bow Stampin' Cut and Emboss machine Trimmer Simply scored Bone folder Multipurpose adhesive Dimensionals Mini glue dots Instructions On the long side score at 5 3/4" and then turn on the short side and fold and burnish to make a tent fold card. On the front of the card, mark the bottom at the centre which is 2 7/8", then cut from the centre card score line down to the mark on the right of the card front and then repeat on the left, this will leave you with the triangular shape on the card front. Repeat this step on the 5 1/4" square dsp (2 5/8"), the 5 1/2" silver foil (2 3/4") and the basic white card (2 5/8") to get the same triangular pieces. Adhere the 5 1/2" dsp to the inside of the card and then add the large triangular white piece in the centre making sure it can't be seen when you close the card. Add the the foil triangles to the card front and the two side pieces that you removed. Now add the dsp triangles in the same way. Arrange the two smaller triangles so that they cross over on the card front as in the picture. I added a mini dimensional under the point of the top one to keep it level with the other sections that I glued. Die cut the two circles, one in foil, the other in white, then stamp the sentiment with misty moonlight. Add some bling and the bow and then add to the centre of the card front with dimensionals. I do hope that you like my card and will give it a try, it really is much easier than you would think. Good Morning Everyone, EEEKK, it's the last Saturday of the month and that means it's the Stampin Bird's Showcase Blog Hop! As usual, we don't have a set theme - so we just get to show you a mix of ideas that we have been creating. I've been trying to make a Christmas card at least once a week at the minute. I've made some designs which will be great to replicate and batch make later on in the year, and some are a little more special - Like the card for today! It's a fabulous Bookbinding fold, which has to be the easiest fold there is, and I get to show off lots of the beautiful Whimsy & Wonder DSP Measurements Misty Moonlight Card Stock 1pc - 8 1/4" x 5 7/8" 1pc - 2" x 2" Basic White Card Stock 1pc - 2 7/8" x 5 5/8" 1pc - 1 7/8" x 1 7/8" Whimsy & Wonder DSP 1pc - 7/8" x 5 3/4" 1pc - 3" x 5 3/4" 1pc - 3" x 5 5/8" Fussy cut presents Take the Misty Moonlight cardstock and score at 4 1/8" and 5 1/8". Fold the cardstock in half as you would normally to create a card base, but then fold the front piece back on itself. The smaller piece will get glued down against the back piece to make the book bind element Adhere the DSP layers to the front the spine and add the DSP on top. Add the remaining piece of DSP to the inside, and place the smaller piece of Basic white into the back give you somewhere to write your message. Wrap the ribbon around the spine piece and secure down with a little adhesive so that when you adhere the two sections together, the ribbon will be trapped between the layers. Add some glue to the back of the 'spine' piece and adhere down - just this thin 1" section. Now for the tiniest bit of Stamping!!! Take the two sentiment stamps and add these to the 2" square, but hold it as a diamond. Add the stamping as High up towards the point as you can. Layer this up to the Misty Moonlight and add to the centre of the card front 'flap'. making sure that you don't have it go over towards the left too much. Finally add the fussy cut presents below the sentiment I hope you enjoyed today's card, please click the next button and continue through the hop.
