There's no better choice than northern European pinewood as it's so dense and strong. Kiln drying also removes most of the moisture so you needn't worry about shrinkage and warping. This is a quality that is shared by the doors and windows that are made from laminated wood. Sealed double glazing comes as standard, and both windows and doors are fitted with draught excluders. An aluminium strip prevents damage to the threshold and the doors can be hinged on either side. Weatherproofing is achieved by pre-treating the timber the structure in a choice of colour while an EPDM rubber roof coating ensures that the interior remains perfectly dry.
