Photo of an Avia S199 i found in a 1/72 plastik kit that i bought on ebay. The Avia S199 is based on the Messerschmitt Bf109G with a Junkers Jumo 211 engine. Around 500 planes were built betwen 1947 and 1949 in Czechoslovakia. Characteristics: Length: 8.94 m Wingspan: 9.92 m Height: 2.59 m Wing area: 16.2 m² Empty weight: 2,650 kg Max takeoff weight: 3,740 kg Powerplant: 1× Junkers Jumo 211F liquid-cooled inverted V-12, 880 kW (1,200 hp) Maximum speed: 590 km/h Combat radius: 850 km Service ceiling: 8,686 m Rate of climb: 11 m/s Wing loading: 231 kg/m² Power/mass: 321 W/kg Avia S.199.185 Unit: Czech Air Force Serial: IF-01 Built during 1949. Note blown cockpit hood in place of Galland type hood. Formerly this aircraft served with Police under OK-BYM code, then transferred to Air Force and used with IF-01 code until 1959. Painting scheme: Dark Olive Green overall; Red spinner; code letters are White. Markings in six positions.
