Here is my interpretation of Tim's tag for May. Once again all the products used are from Stampin' Up!. The only exception is the sewing pattern pdf which I purchased from Etsy and printed on tissue paper. I used real red ink for the Eiffel Tower (Artistic Etchings stamp set) and distressed everything with chocolate chip ink. As for the flower, I used the Blossoms Petal Builder punch, glued everything together and covered it with crystal effects. The stem was made using Pear Pizzazz seam binding ribbon.
I'm a third of the way through my 100 tags but the year is over half done so I'd better get cracking - or collaging- as they say! So, two more collages today. The first one, Tag 34, uses vintage paper and music, a coffee filter and rubber stamps. Tag 34 The second collage uses coffee filters in the background, some vintage documents, and George and Martha Washington postage stamps. Tag 35
You might have remembered reading in this post , I showed photos of my friend Stephs little album she made and brought to our last art group gathering. Hers was so darling , I just couldnt wait to try one myself. She gave me the link to Papercraft planet were she found the folding video. She changed it up and made little house shapes instead fo atcs or tags.. I loved that idea... so that's what I incorporated into mine. The basics of this is done with just one piece of 12x12 paper. I did mine with an embossed( with polkadots) piece of Jenni Bowlin cardstock. I used lots of Glimmer Mist on mine. I used all Crafty Secrets papers for the rest of mine, and images from the"Altered Fairy" Creative Scraps Sheet. It was great fun to go a little nuts on this one. lol There are so many images on the Altered Fairies sheet... I didnt even use all of them up making this project... and trust me .. I used alot! lol Lots of misting and lots of stitching. ( two of my very favorite things .. so that was no problem) I pulled the shapes out of the pockets so you could see them better here. The middle one is done on the back from some vintage buttons. more I used Mist colors, SWAK (pink), Yellow Daisy, Electric Blue, and Sweet Clover. I tried a new technique with my Misting. I used Clear glue ( Beacons 3in1) as a resist. I put down one color of mist, then when it was dry, I added the glue in some places. Once that was dry.. I sprayed on whatever other color I wanted to add. See where I added it to the circles on the over and around the edges a bit? This is how I come accross this fantastic technique. A mistake. lol See below where the glue oozed out when I added the binding.. and I wiped it away. This was my "ah ha" moment. When I sprayed the Glimmer Mist over it... see what happened? This is why I always tell people .. "just PLAY with your Glimmer Mist". Everytime I seem to see a new thing I can do with it. GLUE RESIST ( you can call it a mistake.. I call it a cool technique!) ha I also used some chipboard pieces. The peice below was cut from a pink piece of paper from the Classic Paper Pad. I love it.. it's one of my very favorites...but in this case I needed something brighter... So... another way to use Glimmer Mist. I love how you can change the color.. still see the design of the paper. Here is another example of that. This started as just a standard manilla tag. Oh how I love this crabby little party pooper girl. lol I had alot of fun with that little book. Good thing is't finished though.. it was time to clean up the mess I made in here, spraying.. cutting , ... sewing , inking ect... lol ************************************************** This weekend I'll be teaching a total of 6 classes in Albion NE for Scrapbook Paradise. Again.. if you live in near and are interested.. contact me and I'll get you the info. [email protected] Thankyou to those of you who sent well wishes to my mom. She is home now and her knee is doing better. She's a trooper. I will say .. our dogs are even more spoiled after shes been here. .. if that's possible. lol They love her. Have a Fantastic Weekend!!!

Recently on the American Speech Language Hearing Association Early Intervention forum there was a discussion about the shift in several states pertaining to provision of language services to children in the early intervention system. Latest trend seems to be that a developmental interventionists (DI) or early childhood educators are now taking over in providing language intervention
I'm just squeaking in before the deadline for Tim's May 12 tags of 2016. I missed last month and didn't want to miss it again. So here is Tim's tag and you'll find all his instructions here. And here is my version. I first adhered a couple of strips of Tissue Tape - Symphony and Commute and then stamped images from Tim's Dapper set using Archival Jet Black Ink. I then applied WV White Embossing Paste through Tim's Gears Mini Stencil and let it dry. Then I sprayed Ranger Distress Peeled Paint and Broken China Spray Stains onto the tag. I wiped off the excess and you can see how the Paste and the Tissue Tape resisted the stain. Instead of making tattered florals - because of the masculine theme and the gears stencil that I used - I made tattered gears! I die cut Tim's Thinlits Gearhead dies out of Paperstash/Crowded Attic. Then I lightly sprayed the pieces with Peeled Paint and Broken China Distress Spray Stains. Then I splattered some Antiqued Bronze Distress Stain on to them (the pump on the bronze stain got clogged so I had to dip a brush into it and splatter instead of spraying). Then I layered different gear sizes together and attached them with a Mini Fastener/Screwdriver slot brad. I scrunched up the top layers so they were like gear flowers (!) I colored a piece of Natural Linen Ribbon from Funkie Junkie with the same Distress Spray Stains and sewed it to the tag. I added a Vial Label with Remnant Rubs/Life Quotes. Here's a close up of one of the gear "flowers' so you can see how it's scrunched up So I'm happy to have been able to get my May Tag done - and I'm pleased with how it came out - Win -Win!! (I love when that happens!) Stamps: Dapper - Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Paper: #8 Manila Tag - Ranger, Idea-ology Paper Stash/Crowded Attic, True Black - PTI Ink: Archival Jet Black, Ranger Distress - Ground Espresso, Broken China Accessories: Thinlit Gearhead Dies - Tim Holtz, Natural Linen Ribbon - Funkie Junkie, Gears Mini Stencil - Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous, Idea-ology - Vial Labels, Tissue Tape Symphony and Commute, Remnant Rubs/Life Quotes, Heart Charms, Jump Ring, Trinket Pin, Mini Fasteners/Screw Driver Slot Brads, Wendy Vecchi White Embossing Paste, Ranger Distress Spray Stains Peeled Paint, Broken China, Antiqued Bronze, foam dots, Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive, sewing machine, white thread.

Tag You're It 23 is this project from Tracey. How cute are those apple tags? I was inspired by the colors on her tags and came up with this. After die cutting a tag, I die cut the bloom and leaf from Essentials by Ellen's Bold Blossom set, and added the Technique Tuesday sentiment. A few red sequins and some black and white twine finished off the tag. Be sure to visit Tag You're It Challenge blog to see how the other members of Team A interpreted Tracey's tag and join us if you can. You have until Wednesday, June 17th to link up your tag(s). Remember that as a winner, you'll be invited to guest on a future challenge. Thanks for stopping by today, and we hope to see you in the gallery! InLinkz.com
