Card e Tag chiudipacco a tema marino. Summer, Sea, Scrapbooking, Paper, Shell, Crochet, Biglietti, Sea Glass
Today I'm sharing a tag made from a VIDEO pf one of my favorite carmaker, Vicky, who's 2013 project is a GREAT Art journal plenty of techniques and inspirations. Her last work is about coffee and it's lovely, but I was inspired by april's one that was inspired by reading and I try to make the book pile she created (Let's check her one, it's amazing!!) con questa tag partecipo ai due challenge di Simon says stamp che hanno come tema Anything goes: SIMON SAYS STAMP MONDAY CHALLENGE SIMON SAYS STAMP WEDNESDAY CHALLENGE THANKS vicky!

Hello lovely people, I have a Dies to Die For DT project for you today and I thought I'd do something other than a card so I made a set of cute floral tags. "Is that yet more new MFT stuff I see there?" I hear you ask... ...well, yes it is because I couldn't resist the fab Blueprints tag sets! ...and these stitched flowers are pretty awesome too don't you think?! It was a very grey day when I made these so I reached for the most colourful papers I could find! If I've tempted you with any of the lovely supplies I've used then you can go straight to the individual products via the thumbnails at the end of my post or just pop over to Dies to Die For and have a little browse around! Hi again, I've had lots of treats of new stash over the past 4+ months and barely scratched the surface of using them but I'm trying hard, lol. Today my post is a catch up of the none Christmas makes I've managed recently. My first piece is a tag (obviously, lol) created using one of the fab AALL & Create stamps by Tracy Evans plus one of their stencils. I made this last year and I think I had already done a blended background on the cream tag and had it lying around on my desk. I have absolutely no idea what inks I used for the background, lol! I did some stencilling and background subtle stamping. I stamped the flower onto the tag and also separate card then coloured it. I think I used Amsterdam Inks and then added the white doodling, cut it out and added it to the tag. Finally added extra word stamping, doodled round the edge with a black fine liner pen and added the word sticker. I created this card about the same time as the above tag, just trying out the gorgeous new stamp. It's a large A4 stamp so you have to practice a bit to get to know how best you can stamp with it. I'm usually pretty good but this time I moved the card and smudged the image a bit but I didn't want to waste it so went with the flow, lol. I think I must have used mica powders to blend over the background then I stamped the butterfly onto separate card and coloured it and the flower with metallic watercolour paints. I added some thread before sticking them to the card then stamped and cut out the words. Matting and layering to the card base and finito! Back in November I went to the Knit and Stitch show in Harrogate and I bought a set of Brusho SprinkleIt powders but it took me till after Christmas to try them out. I'm not sure they are worth it yet and if you are a lover of 'in your face' bling I would say these are not for you but I only like subtle when it comes to glitter and sparkle so I think with more play time to get to know them better I might get to enjoy these. I used one of my try out backgrounds for the card below. This background is created with normal Brusho crystals very sparingly sprinkled onto damp card then spritzed. I dried between each colour application and finally added some of the pearl SprinkleIt to the last layer. I stamped a chosen area from a gorgeous new A4 AALL & Create stamp and then added some white texture paste through two different AALL & Create stencils but forgot that with Brushos being water reactive the paste soaked up colour from the background. To make the texture more visible again I used Treasure Gold to highlight, copper on the circles on the left and a ruby colour on the textured areas on the right. I added a tiny bit of colour to areas of the butterfly and some white doodling and a few white paint splatters then did a bit of tinting to one of Tim Holtz Paper Dolls before adding her to the piece. A bit of graphite pencil to create shadowing around her made her stand out a bit more and lastly I stamped the words to cut out and add. I edged the piece with black and matted and layered onto the card base. My final share today is using a new stamp from Chocolate Baroque. I think it's quite stunning. I used another of my Brusho and SprinkleIt test backgrounds and this one has one of the very subtle glitter powders on it. If you click to enlarge you might be able to see it. I loved this background as it's not often I can get 'subtle' with Brushos as the colours are so intense. I didn't want to cover it up with too much colouring of the image so I just did some shading with Polychromos pencils in specific areas and was so happy with the result. I also added a light shadowing around the image to give a little dimension then stamped the Chocolate Baroque sentiment and inked with black around the edges. Matting and layering to complete the card. Right, I think that's me caught up although I could have missed a couple of makes I've forgotten about, lol. I must try harder to be more productive, lol, as I still have a lot of as yet unused new stash to play with. I'm not promising but I'll try to keep up better with blogging, lol! Hugs Lesley Xx
A layered tag with pockets. More labels and wishes in each pocket. Stamping, embossing, punching, sponging, stitching... Stempelen, embossen, ponsen, sponzen, stikken,... This photo shows the labels and the leather backside of the tag. Stitching all layers together was quite easy.
This was a test to check if I could blog using my Ipad or phone, but that didn't work...........months later I see this concept ......so say hallo to my old (and already used) tag!

Hello! Almost weekend, and in the very last minute, my version of Tim Holtz 12 tags of 2014 January. I loved the cool effect of the dry embossed metal foil clock gears on Tim's tag, but instead of using the Pocket Watch die, I used the Vintage Globe. I die cut the globe from grungeboard and carefully cut away the ocean parts with a craft knife. I die cut it again from foil tape and adhered it to the base of the globe (I forgot to adhere foil to the grungeboard before die cutting the globe). One of the Sized Circles fit perfectly behind the globe and I covered a piece of grungeboard with foil tape and die cut the circle from it. I used the same embossing folder as Tim did, since I liked the idea of all those little gears as the oceans of the world. The embossed gears were distressed with Black Soot and Broken China paint, to also add some blue to the sea. I painted the frame of the globe black, and started out with Peeled Paint continents. Then I changed my mind and painted them with Frayed Burlap instead. The background was coloured with Antique Linen and Pumice Stone Distress Ink, smeared on my craft sheet and misted with water, before pressing the tag into the ink. I used the Rays stencil and Pumice Stone to add detail to the background. Loved the look of the sanded rub-ons. I went with a travel theme. This is one of my favourite sentiment stamps and I thought it fit well here. Thank you for stopping by! Enjoy your weekend!! As previously promised I am going to show you some of the sample projects I made with our new release of stamps whilst at The Craft Barn Extravaganza recently. I am feeling a bit fragile at the moment as I tripped and fell over a concrete slab in a public car park area yesterday, with my face taking the full force of the fall, and have ended up with two stitches above my top lip, plus other grazes and scratches on my face. I have also knocked one of my front teeth a bit backwards - so all in all not a pretty sight at the moment. Still I didn't break anything bone wise, so have to count myself lucky I guess, and of course I can still write my Blog and do everything else that needs doing - it could have been much worse. Anyway Malcolm has taken some photos of the samples mentioned, and as The Craft Barn sells Imagination Crafts Sparkle Medium I just had to have a play with that in a few different colours along with our masks whilst demoing. You will find the new stamps on these pages HERE and HERE. Helen Chilton has started me off playing with Distress Ink Pads again, and I found the swooshing technique with the pads and a water spritzer works marvellously with our 'Queen of Arts, Ivory Silk Card' and 'Regency White Satin, Silk Card' and stamps beautifully afterwards. I had great fun swooshing and adding the glitter medium here and there! A few members of the Team have been playing nicely too, and I love the following images. A beautiful grungy tag by Brenda using the giraffe stamp - perfect! Another gorgeous tag - this time by Paula! Plus a very pretty card by Gio - Thanks ladies. And I will be back soon with more Challenge inspiration from Lucy, Helen, Gio and Brenda. Our new Challenge post can be found HERE, and some great entries so far too ... Looking forward to seeing Your entry! Jean x

Hello to everyone! Today is Monday and that means we are ready for a new challenge on Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog! This week the theme is IT'S A STITCH UP! I hope although it is still vacation time you have fun with us , can't wait to see your creations! You still have time for the challenge dedicated to our kids, deadline August 31! HERE the whole post! This is the last week for our Designer Spotlight for August, Christine Here you can visit her blog! Christine thank you for sharing with us this month for creativity, it was an honor and a pleasure to work with you! This Monday I changed the subject!! the seahorse is not the star of my project! I have to confess: between me and sewing there isn't a big love, the sewing machine (except the simplest stitches, the only one that can do ....) is an almost unknown subject for me, so I had adapt my limited ability to this theme. I used a size with which I feel comfortable, the tag, a certainty! Creative Chemistry 103 inspired me to try this technique on Textile Surfaces! I added some stitches to give more details and .... to respect the theme of our challenge! With these two tags I tried to build a transition between summer and autumn (I'm so happy that autumn is coming!!!!). I cut the Textile surface with Tim Holtz Sizzix Framelits tag, I painted it with Distress sprays using bright colors, visible on darker background. Once the tag has dried, I utilized the stencil with the texture paste gloss . Let it air dry, it takes a little time but the result is much better than you dry it with heat tool! The last step: you sprinkle with a Distress stain spray in darker color , in this case Blueprint sketch, and texture paste gloss creates the effect resist! This is the version that takes you directly to autumn , I love fall and winter!!! I admit that stitches are not many .... but there are and this is the important thing! Ora tocca a voi!
