I’ve been trying to use what I have on hand lately… rediscovering old paper pads I didn’t even remember I had, hoarded embellishments not being using… so I decided to use this old Echo Park paper for a card using the sketch from this past week from My Favorite Things. I modified the sketch slightly to fit my taller image from the Dip Me in Chocolate a’ la modes stamp set. I colored my chocolate gal with Copic markers, and used the Fishtail Flags STAX and Lead the Way Die-Namics, plus a retro pink button, Bo Bunny ribbon and some “chocolate” Kaisercraft pearls. On the inside I added one of the sentiments from the stamp set, and some more Fishtail Flags. Happy stamping, and thanks for stopping by!

Linda has a brand-new Catered Crop Recipe Swap up on her blog this week, and I think everyone will have a lot of fun with this one! Here are the details… Bring out the chickens, ducks, owls, eagles, just their feathers or eggs, or even NBA star Larry Bird, and show us how everything is magically better with a bird on it. Include a link to us at Catered Crop or add our button, which you can grab on our sidebar or at our {button gallery}. Link up and link often, but be sure you link up by 8:00 PM EST on Saturday, April 12. Keep the party hopping by visiting the other players and leaving comments. Check back with us on March 13 to see if you’ve won an opportunity to be a guest designer. So, for my card I pulled out my new Birdie Brown Sunflower Sweetheart stamp set… For the “birdie for this week, I added a sweet little robin perched on the fence. It’s been SO nice to see the robins again here in Northeast Ohio the last few weeks, even though it still hasn’t stopped snowing! I also used the coordinating Sunflower Sweetheart Die-Namics to cut out the images and the picket fence, and the big flag behind the image comes from the Blueprints 13 Die-Namics. Be sure to stop over at Linda’s blog for the complete challenge details, and some inspiration to get your creative juices flowing! Thanks for stopping by!

It’s Tuesday again and time for a brand new TCP Tuesday challenge from The Cat’s Pajamas. This week, our newest Kitty, Deborah Anton is hosting our color challenge with these wonderful colors, just perfect for summer! These colors immediately led me to a summery/tropical card… I stamped Sprinkle floating on the waves from the Fun in the Sun stamp set. She floating on some Wavy Stitched Border Cut-Ups waves, among some Stitched Clouds Cut-Ups. On the yellow panel I added some bubbles from the stamp set, and I used the current Sweet Sunday Sketch #272 for the layout. Be sure to stop over at the TCP blog for all the details, and join us! You could win some Cat Cash, and be in the running to be our next Swanky Stamper!
I’ve got a dear friend with a birthday coming up this week, so I used my super-fun-to-use Sensational Stitched Flowers Die-Namics from My Favorite Things to make this card for her… Using the colors from Color Throwdown #409, and the sketch #231 from Retro Sketches, I created this card using these fun dies. I just love mixing these flowers up to make fun bouquets! I hope Cindy will like this card! The “happy” Die-Namics, and birthday sentiment are both from My Favorite Things, but retired. I hope you had a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by today!
Crazy 4 Challenges time again this week, and today Frances has this great sketch for everyone to try! Stop over at the C4C blog for all the details and play along! I also used the new Poppies and Leaves Die-Namics, as well as the Dizzy Doily and Simply Scallops Medium Die-Namics. The papers I used are from the Dear Lizzy “Lucky Charm” paper pad. On the inside… I added another poppy stamped in Old Paper distress ink and a birthday sentiment so I can send this to my aunt for her birthday! Need some inspiration? Hey there! Guess who forgot to do her blog post today? Yep, that’s me! I’m the hostess-with-the-mostest for February at Crazy 4 Challenges, and this week I’ve got an interesting twist for you! With Valentine’s Day approaching, many people have a date night that involves dining out, amiright? So for today’s challenge, I want you to include a food/dining/dish theme on your card, AND include the color red! Maybe some romantic chocolate with red hearts? Or some red wine! Or chocolate AND wine (that’s MY favorite, but a big no-no in my current eating plan!) For me, I HAD to turn to my beloved Pyrex-like stamps from My Favorite Things… Inspired by the current sketch #319 at MFT, I pulled out my Kitschy Kitchen stamp set, and got to work! I die-cut the bowls from the matching Die-Namics, and stamped them using my MISTI with Razzle Berry and Wild Cherry hybrid inks, and added the whisk stamped in Steel Grey hybrid ink. For the circle element, I used the Stitched Mini Scallop Circle STAX Die-Namics and added an insert to the circle with pink polka dot paper. I added the sentiment on a strip of Wild Cherry card stock, and a piece of pink patterned paper in the background die-cut with the Pierced Rectangle STAX Die-Namics. Then on the background piece, die-cut with a large stitched rectangle from Blueprints 13, I stamped the BG Distressed Stripes background with Versamark ink and heat set it with white embossing powder. A few black enamel dots for embellishment, and I was done. This will be a perfect Valentine’s Day card for my hubby, who gets into the Pyrex collecting as much as I do! Be sure to stop by the C4C blog for all the challenge details today, and be inspired by the rest of the CrAzY girls… Lisa Henke, February Guest Designer Anja de Regt Barbara Anders Caz Counsell Frances Byrne Jessie Rone Joanne Grzelak Karen Aicken Maryann Einem Raquel Mason Rebecca Ednie Thanks for stopping by today!
Hello friends! Thanks for coming back to see me again today! I've got more fun from the Splitcoaststampers Dare to Get Dirty challenges to share with you, including the challenge that I'M hosting! I hope you'll pop in over at SCS and join us in the fun. I think my challenge is a fun one... lots of possibilities for this one, so be sure to check it out. (Since this is my second blog post for today with a total of three cards, I'm going to keep my descriptions pretty short and sweet. But compete supply lists are down below, and you can always email me if you have ANY questions!!) The card I made for my challenge uses the BB Let's Hang Out stamp set from My Favorite Things. I borrowed this one from my friend Kirsty (thanks girlfriend!) to use specifically for my challenge today. I used the coordinating Let's Hang Out Die-Namics to cut out my little tomboy girl from Copic X-press It blending card stock, then stamped her in Steel Grey hybrid ink and colored with Copic markers. The scenery was also stamped on the X-press It blending card stock and colored with Copics, then was cut out with the Pierced Rectangle STAX Die-Namics. And this card is for another challenge being hosted by my fellow Deconstructed Sketch team member, Kim O'Connell! I had a lot of fun with this card, incorporating the CAS(E) this Sketch #87 challenge and the Tag You're It #3 challenge into my design. (FUN challenges there... I'm definitely going to be participating in both a lot more often!) I die-cut three layers of the "hi" from the Happy Hellos Die-Namics from Lemon Drop card stock, then glued them together and slapped on some crystal lacquer. (See... I told you yesterday this was going to be new addiction!) I added some embossing in the background with white embossing paste and the On the Diagonal stencil, and added a sweet scattering of flowers that were cut with the Trellis & Vine Die-Namics. Again, see below for a complete listing of my supplies, or just email me with questions! Here are my supplies. Remember, clicking on each photo will take you directly to that product in the online store (or clicking on highlighted words, too!) The Flourishes Sr. Design team today is focusing on one of the most beautiful sets in the store... Signs of Spring. I just love the big daffodil in this set, so I made sure it was the main focus of my card today. Oh, BTW... wanna' hear a funny? When I was a toddler, I apparently called these flowers "dack-o-dils"! My Mom still refers to them as dack-o-dils if I'm around! My "dack-o-dil" was colored with Copics from the Daffodil and Evergreen collections, with a little bit of YR23 from the *brand new* Beehive collection. I stamped my daffodil three times, cutting out and layering for dimension. I used the new Graphic 45 "Little Darlings" 8x8 paper pad for my card. This is baby-themed paper in this collection, but there are some great basic patterns like the gingham and butterflies I used here, as well! Embellishments include Ivory Crochet Trim, some Kaisercraft pearls and a seam binding bow. Spellbinders products used include the Labels Nineteen Nestabilities, and the Classic Scallop Edgeabilities. And here's a bit of good news.... you can get this great stamp set with your own "dack-o-dil" for 10% off through the weekend! The rest of the Flourishes Design team members have beautiful Spring samples to share with you today, so be sure to check out their blogs! Hello friends! Wow, I haven’t stamped since way before Christmas… almost thought I might have forgotten how! But I didn’t, and I have a card to share with you today for the Crazy 4 Challenges team. Today, January 14, 2017 is Organize Your Home Day, so in recognition we’re creating cards with a homey theme. And here is mine… I wanted to send a Christmas card to my Aunt, and never got around to it so I think this will be a good card to send to her! In addition to the C4C challenge today, I also created my card using the current Sketch #315 at My Favorite Things, and the current Color Challenge #61. I used the darling LJD Make Yourself at Home stamp set and matching Die-Namics, and colored each image with Copic markers. Using Coral Crush card stock, I die-cut the banner behind the images with the Pierced Fishtail Flags STAX Die-Namics. Using Versamark ink, I stamped the white background card stock with the Modern Mosaic background stamp and embossed with white embossing powder. And finally, I added a Berrylicious striped strip of paper on the left side from the Fun & Frolic Paper Pack. Be sure to stop by the C4C blog for all the challenge details today, and be inspired by the rest of the CrAzY girls… Anja de Regt Barbara Anders Caz Counsell Frances Byrne Jessie Rone Joanne Grzelak Karen Aicken Maryann Einem Raquel Mason Rebecca Ednie Thanks for stopping by!
