Hi friends and welcome to tonight's blog post. I thought I would share a little set of 3" x 3" cards with you all. I absolutely love making these mini card sets and gifting them to friends for their birthdays. I have so much fun personalising them to suit each one's likes and tastes. I'm giving this set to my friend Sue for her birthday. I start with a Thick Whisper White card base that measures 6" x 3", and score along the 6" side @ 3" to create the centre fold line. I cut five squares of cardstock to 2 3/4" x 2 3/4" in Cherry Cobbler, Bermuda Bay, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight and Rich Razzleberry and ran these through the Layered Leaves 3D Dynamic TIEF. Taking the double flower image from 'Petal Palette' stamp set, I stamped onto a stitched square of Thick Whisper White C/S with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and coloured with Stampin' Blends in the embossed panel colours. I attached these squares to the card with dimensionals. To hold the cards I made a box on the Envelope Punch Board and secured with a belly-band. I stamped and die-cut the same flower image and layered onto another stitched square of Cherry Cobbler and attached this to the belly-band with Tombow glue. I brushed Wink of Stella over all of the flowers for a lovely sparkle and added (retired) Glitter Epoxy shapes. For the flowers on the box I used Rhinestones. The set is complete with our matching 3" x 3" envelopes. Thanks for stopping by today. I have a list of all the products I've used to create this mini card set below. Until next time..... Happy Wednesday My Blogger Friends and today I have Part Two of the 3x3 cards my fellow SaddleBrooke Stampers exchanged in March. Let's jump right in ......... Here's another shot of what all 25 cards look like........ The sweet little girl card was made by Joan ....... The butterfly card did not have a name stamped on the back ..... Nor did the yellow flower card ...... and my good stamping friend Gail made the " Thanks So Much" tea cup card. This next batch of 3x3 cards were all made by the gals in my FU Group. The Kindness Matters" card was made by ME! The rosette card was made by Kris (Fabulously Unique if I do say so myself). Ann made the package card (How ADORABLE). And Debbie made the "OH SO SWEET" (and OH SO PRETTY) pink scallop baby rattle card. (I'm sure you can tell that these ladies are Fabulously Unique and live up to their name of being part of the FU Group!) Mary made the pink and purple flower card ....... Judy made the super fun pin-wheel card ...... The cardinal card was made by Marian ...... Opal made the GORGEOUS black and white vase card ..... and my Ranch GalPal Chris made the SUPER FUN green circle card. I know that this new venture at making little 3x3 cards is going to be a HUGE HIT with the SaddleBrooke Stampers and I look forward to joining in on the fun for April - which our challenge is Never Grown Up with the optional technique of Childhood Memories. I have a super fun card that involves Monster in the Closet for my April card ....... I'm just hoping that what's in my head - can be put into a little 3x3 card for this challenge. Guess you'll just have to return in April to see what I came up with. Many thanks for joining me today - I have a FUN PACKED DAY planned with my FU Gals today. Sunday 12 November 2017 Hello and welcome. I am so excited to be this week's Guest Designer on Kylie Bertucci’s Crazy Crafters Team Blog Hop. The Crazy Crafters will be CASE-ing (Copy and Selectively Edit) one of my previous projects and making it their own. I'm also CASE-ing myself! This is my card that I've chosen to CASE: I love making these little cards and teamed with the 3" x 3" envelopes they fit perfectly in the Mini Pizza Boxes. They make a great gift. And here's my CASE: The background paper is from the Coffee Break Designer Series and the feathers are from the Just Add Color Specialty Designer Series Paper. The Whisper White stitched square is from the Stitched Shapes Framelits. These framelits are so versatile and always look so stylish! I coloured one feather in Soft Sky to co-ordinate with the Coffee Break DSP and the other in Powder Pink. Little banners in co-ordinating cardstock tie in the colours, the "celebrate!" is embossed in white and a Whisper White bow finishes it off! Thanks so much for stopping by and have fun on the hop.

Good morning everyone, how are you today? I'm looking forward to a long bank holiday weekend here in the UK. Not sure what the weather is set to be like, but I hope some sunshine is on the cards. Talking of cards, on to today's project. If like me you are sometimes challenged by colour co-ordination, I have a little secret to share. It's called the Stampin' Up! Colour Coach. It's a fantastic little tool for those times when you want to use a colour but aren't sure what other colours will go with it. Every colour in the Stampin' Up! range has its own card with two suggested colour combinations. Let's take Bermuda Bay as an example (just because it's one of my favourites). You can combine it with Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight for a bright vibrant feel or you can combine it with Tangerine Tango and Smoky Slate for a more subtle look. Some of the colours also have a "Dynamic Duo" for a monochromatic scheme: Bermuda Bay's is Pool Party but Pool Party can also be used with Island Indigo as well. My project today uses the Dynamic Duo combination as well as a pop of colour using one colour from the suggested colour combinations. I started off by stamping the watercolour mark in the lighter colour and the sentiment in the darker. I stamped the bubbles over the top in either gold or silver. I attached the top layer to a coloured mat (using the lighter colour from the duo) and then mounted this onto a 3"x 3" card base. I then punched out the butterflies again using the dynamic duo combination with a contrasting candy dot brad and mounted these over either silver or gold baker's twine. From Top Right clockwise, I used the following combinations: Soft Suede/Early Espresso with Gold - Candy Dot is Blushing Bride Crisp Cantaloupe/Calypso Coral with Gold - Candy Dot is Soft Suede Pool Party/Bermuda Bay with Silver - Candy Dot is Crushed Curry Pear Pizazz/Old Olive with Gold - Candy Dot is Pumpkin Pie Daffodil Delight/Crushed Curry with Gold - Candy Dot is Cherry Cobbler Smoky Slate/Basic Grey with Silver - Candy Dot is Daffodil Delight Basic Grey/(StazOn) Black with Silver - Candy Dot is Melon Mambo Perfect Plum/Elegant Eggplant with Silver - Candy Dot is Rose Red I am giving these cards to the ladies in my class to say Thank you for their class orders. I'm really lucky that I have such a great group of ladies who come every month. The class is very informal, friendly and cheerful and we have a lot of fun - so thank you again ladies! I appreciate your support. For today's project I used the following products: Card Stock: Whisper White, Soft Suede, Early Espresso, Smoky Slate, Basic Grey, Basic Black, Daffodil Delight, Bermuda Bay, Old Olive, Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Pear Pizazz, Perfect Plum, Elegant Eggplant, Crushed Curry, Crisp Cantaloupe Ink Pads: Soft Suede, Early Espresso, Smoky Slate, Basic Grey, StazOn Black, Daffodil Delight, Bermuda Bay, Old Olive, Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Pear Pizazz, Perfect Plum, Elegant Eggplant, Crushed Curry, Crisp Cantaloupe, Encore Metallic Ink - Gold and Silver Stamp Sets: Happy Watercolour wood or clear, Fabulous Phrases Wood or Clear Embellishments: Brights Candy Dots, Neutrals Candy Dots, Subtles Candy Dots, Regals Candy Dots, Candy Dots Brad Bases I hope you've enjoyed today's project. Thanks for stopping by. Have a great weekend and see you soon.

Hello Friends, Spring has sprung and it's time for Pals Blog Hop! Today the Stampin' Pretty Pals are sharing some fabulous Spring themed cards and projects that we think you'll enjoy! You've probably hopped over from Leah's blog at http://www.leahsstampincorner.com/ I'm stop number 19 on the Pals Hop and I'm glad you hopped in! I'll help you "hop along" from blog to blog where you'll find great ideas for spring themed paper projects from the Stampin' Pretty Pals! Should you hop off course, simply click on any of the links in the Pals Hop Line-up below and you'll be back on track. I am loving the Kraft Boxes! So many creative uses for them. I used the "Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper for the outside decorating of this box. This paper is one of the choices for a FREE item with a $50 order. Click here for more information about Sale-A-Bration. The recipient will have 8 cards for everyday use. The selection of cards in the box. Close up of the 'butterfly' on top of the box. To create the Butterfly, I ran chipboard through the Big Shot using the Beautiful Butterflies Die then distressed it with Soft Suede Ink. I did the same thing (didn't distress) using the First Edition Designer Series Paper. Finally I ran a piece of the Everyday Enchantment (using the same Die) and added a large pearl in the middle. I used Stampin' Dimensionals (they always do the trick) to adhere the 'butterfly'. If you missed my project from last months PALS blog hop - click here for another idea using the Kraft Boxes. All the sentiments I used for the 3x3 cards are from the "Teeny Tiny Wishes" stamp set. Wow! This set includes a greeting for almost every occasion. Don't just buy it, keep it handy, cause you're going to use it a lot! No challenges associated with this post, however, just a happy set of notecards. I really had a good time making this set. Polka dots truly make me happy! After finishing my last card set yesterday, I decided I wanted to stamp another set today, but a set that was much easier to produce. I used pre-cut and -scored 3" x 3" cards and patterned paper -- two things that make it really simple to create a set of cards. Supplies (all Stampin' Up!®, except crochet thread): Stamps: Very Punny Card stock: Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Regal Rose, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Pacific Point, Real Red, Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo, Brights Collection Patterns DSP Stack Ink: Jet Black StazOn®, Daffodil Delight, Regal Rose, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Pacific Point, Real Red, Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo, Blush Blossom, Early Espresso Accessories: Aqua Painter®, crochet thread, Basic Rhinestomes,1-3/8" circle punch, Scallop Circle punch, Small Heart punch, Dimensionals I really love this set of cards. They're simple, and there really isn't any "wow" factor to them, but they're cute and sweet, and sometimes that's all you need. I think the layout, bold colors, polka dot patterned paper and stamp set all work well together. To color the images, I used an Aqua Painter and the individual ink pads. (Push down on the ink pad lid while it's closed, then open it and dip the Aqua Painter in the ink that is in the lid.) And they did need just a little embellishment, so I added a bit of crochet thread and a rhinestone in the corner of each card (a little bling is always good). Since the cards turned out so cute, I didn't want the envelopes to be a plain, boring disappointment. So I used the Small Heart punch to punch two hearts out of the polka dot DSP for each color. Then I glued the hearts onto the front of the envelopes, so each card has a coordinating envelope (see photo below). To package the cards, I made a simple gift box and glued one heart punch of each color on the box lid. I didn't take pictures of the box, but it's pretty basic. Maybe I'll show how to make the box in a future tutorial -- it's nice to be able to make an easy box in just about whatever size you need. This type of card set is probably one of my favorite stamping projects. Once I decide on a layout, they are quick to create (not much thinking needed), but because each card is just a bit different, I don't get completely bored making them. And they're fun little gifts to have on hand. I think I now have four card sets ready to go, so I should be set for a while. Better start working on some other projects! Thanks for stopping by!
Sometimes you wonder if it's worth keeping most of our scraps. Believe me, as a demonstrator and instructor, I have a lot more than you may have. I'm getting better at not hording them, but one great way to use up your scraps is making 3 x 3 Gift Cards, and even better is making a set of them in a box! On Friday, I showed you one set that used one entire 12 x 12 sheet of paper. Today I'm showing you two sets made with a bunch of scraps! These two boxes have a large sentiment on the front, "Enjoy the Little Things" from the 2016 Occasions Catalogue. Next, you see the card box open with the ten 3 x 3 cards and their envelopes. Each of the cards is using up scraps from the English Garden DSP series in the Annual Catalogue, and each card has a little sentiment punched out with the "Word Window" punch and back with other punched cardstock pieces. Here is the second box of little cards, this one all dressed up in pink (Melon Mambo). Box opened, revealing the ten cards and their envelopes. And again, each of the cards is using up scraps from the English Garden DSP, and again each card has a little sentiment punched out with the "Word Window" punch and back with other punched cardstock pieces. Some are stamped on the inside, and others are not. I didn't take a shot of one or two cards individually, so next is one that has been cropped more closely. Hope you can see a little of some of the details. Cute little cards to add to a gift ,or a quick note into a lunch, backpack, briefcase or suitcase. Also make a great gift to give a hostess at a dinner, or for a party. Thank you for stopping by to have a look. If you'd like to make 3 x 3 card stets to use up your scraps, I've included the main things I've used below. Happy Stamping! Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog Sale-A-Bration! Last week I had a bit of a production line going making thank you cards so it was one of those times when I really need a simple design. In all honesty you really can't get much more simple than this! I started with an 8cm square card blank and stamped the flower border with a stamp from Bordering on Romance. I then added a couple of River Rock leaves punched from the Bird Builder punch, a flower from the Boho Blossoms punch and a sentiment from Teeny Tiny Sentiments which had been punched out with the Jewelry Tag punch. Really, really simple!! Apologies for the quality of the photo but I had to lay the cards down to get them all in and couldn't quite get the light right.
