Swatch from a full-piece of wonderful feedsack. The print is a camping lantern in brown and green on white. Purchased at an estate sale in Richmond, VA.
The print reminds me of the 50's atomic starburst or sputnik designs.
These fabric swatches are part of a large lot of salesman samples from the 1930s. The photos represent a 2 x 3 rectangle of each print.
...doe and buck ....he and she... ~ vintage late 1930s - 1940s feedsack in a novelty print of a pair of deer or gazelle...looks like a male and a female, one has antlers, the other a bow around it's neck, set on a field of scattered rectangles ~ of a smooth, mid weight, 100% cotton in gray, and orangey red, navy blue and a soft, white ~ this is a full, opened feedsack and still retains some of the stitch marks along the edges, measures 37 inches wide and is 44 inches long ~ in fair, unlaundered, vintage condition, this one show some pretty significant yellowing along the fold lines from improper storage, I think the majority of this would soak out, no holes, or funky odors ~ I am happy to ship internationally and combine shipping ... between all three shops

Vintage Floral Feed Sack Fabric This is a great vintage fabric! It is a sturdy cotton and it is printed with adorable white clusters of flowers with navy blue details on a light blue background. I am not an expert, but this looks and feels like feed sack or flour sack fabric to me. There IS evidence of it being stitched, but it has been opened. Exact measurements are 37 inches wide by 47 inches ( more than 1 1/4 yards). Quite large for feed sacks! This fabric is in excellent as found condition. I noticed a few small areas of minor discoloration typical of stored linens. It should all come out with a good soak. It's such a pretty pattern!! Just think of the wonderful things you can make with this fabric!! Thanks for shopping Pixie Dust Linens! The collar folds over to give this cool sweater a little more detail to it ( see picture #1 ) The front of the sweater has a green bug on both sides along with 2 pockets below the green bugs (see picture #2). The back of the sweater has one big green bug on the bottom part of the sweater. The VW black emblem is on both sleeves ( see picture #2 ).
