There is something precious about gently awakening at the crack of dawn. It seems that the whole planet is still and even nature is waiting for the gift of sunlight. On a clear summer morning, the western sky starts to get lighter about half any hour before sunrise. At first it is barely discernible and then one's eyes get adjusted to gentle glimmer. When I was a teenager I would stay up all night to catch a view of the moments before sunrise and then see the actual pink, yellow, orange or red of the rising sun. Later in my life I would sleep out all night under the stars in order to catch an inspiring glimpse. Sometimes (at the age of 55) I will set my alarm on my watch, to wake myself up at the appointed time. In my life I have perhaps witnessed this special time of day and night, 200 hundred times. What follows is a collection of real experiences from moments before sunrise. They are gentle but thought provoking reflections which have happened over the last 40 years. They have added quality to my life and will also do so for you. | Author: James Nugent | Publisher: CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform | Publication Date: Apr 10, 2016 | Number of Pages: 24 pages | Language: English | Binding: Paperback | ISBN-10: 1530997410 | ISBN-13: 9781530997411

I love mornings like this when the air is crisp and a thick morning mist covers the landscape. This shows Echo Lake in Fayette, Maine, part of Kennebec County in the southwestern part of the State.
