Moonlight by Craig Ruddy. Tigmi are honoured to present a limited edition series of prints from revered Australian artist Craig Ruddy's prolific collection of works. Best known for his portrayal of Australian First Nations people, Craig was also greatly invested in using his medium to advocate for causes that were close to his heart. Since his passing and in-line with his wishes, the Craig Ruddy Scholarship was established in his name at Flinders University. This annual scholarship helps to reduce financial barriers for First Nations medical students in the Northern Territory by providing study equipment and resources, mentoring or tutoring, or any other tangible needs. We hope that in presenting Craig's works, we are also able to bring light to this important initiative. 20% of all proceeds from the sale of these works will be donated to the Craig Ruddy Scholarship fund. This exhibition was made possible with the help of Craig's life partner Roberto Meza Mont whom we express our deepest love and gratitude. Moonlight is one of only two pieces Craig has ever created without having a subject, working purely from his imagination. He named this work "Moonlight" as it was inspired by watching the moon through the trees on his property in the Pocket, Northern NSW. Digitally signed, Unframed.

Each design in the collection is available in any size, as a rug or runner. Please enquire for pricing. A piece from our Moroccan rug collection DAR YOUK: Dar meaning 'home' in Arabic and Youk meaning 'one' in Tamazight. El Sahara is named after the desert where the brown sheep used to source the wool are found, and is made from all-natural, hand processed wool with minimal human and environmental impact. It has been made by the hands of master weavers atop of the Ain Leuh Spring in the Atlas Mountains through a cooperative of women, where the action of weaving is part of a complex chain of ancient cultural practices. DAR YOUK is symbolic of the Ain Leuh Cooperative, which serves as a second home for the weavers and ensures sustainable practices, fair and equitable payments for the female artisans, in turn supporting their families and communities. Through the creation of DAR YOUK it was important for us to work closely with the weavers, who often we know little about, and to acknowledge and give reverence to the women who created this collection. They are: Nina Gilbert, Khadouj Ouchekak, Hjaou Ammraoui, El Hachima Douiri, Khadija El Aabdi, Fatima Abaraou, Mahma Bahoussem Rachia Ghenam & Fatima Balhoussaine. Le Marais is a contemporary rug collection by TIGMI, born from a traditional Parisian mosaic tile that explores geometry, palette and materiality. The design reinterprets the simple yet bold geometry found within timber mosaic floor design - referencing the past with natural materials that are presented in a fresh and modern way. Exuding a quiet sophistication, Le Marais is offered in four refined colour palettes and crafted from a base of luxurious New Zealand Wool contrasted with tonal pigments in silk. Each is handwoven by expert family-based weavers in Nepal. Le Marais is certified by GoodWeave, a non-profit organisation that works to end child labour in the rug industry and to ensure a transparent and ethical production process.
