Por diversas vezes enquanto navegava pela internet, me deparei com fotos desse misto de Fusca com Motorhome*. Como informações traduzidas a respeito praticamente não existe, resolvi investigar e acabei descobrindo que esse modelo na verdade é um pseudo motorhome para duas pessoas, embora acomode três, que surgiu durante as décadas de 1960 e 1970. Naquela época era moda personalizar veículos com finalidade recreativa para a família. Foi então que o designer de veículo Robert Q. Riley, dono da Robert Q. Riley Enterprises LLC, ao passar por uma rodovia em Los Angeles viu numa pequena instalação alguns modelos construído sobre o chassi do Fusca, além da frente e componentes mecânicos. Curioso com a descoberta, Robert entrou em contato com o proprietário da empresa e comprou os direitos para comercializar os kits. Um negócio da china, visto que o empreendimento não precisava de um significativo investimento em maquinaria ou material. Na época, essa conversão ficou conhecida como Bugaroo ou MiniHome. Apesar de sua aparência, ele cumpria a finalidade que lhe foi incumbida. Seu design proporcionava uma solução inteligente para compensar o pequeno espaço interno. No interior havia o necessário ao usuário. O modelo possuía uma pequena geladeira, quase um frigobar, e armários. Num módulo que desliza para fora do veículo havia o fogão de duas bocas a gás e uma pia em aço inoxidável. Assim era possível optar por cozinhar e lavar ao ar livre. Os bancos do motorista e do carona giravam 180 graus, ficando de costas para o painel e de frente a mesa de jantar que também se transforma numa confortável cama de casal. Além disso, ainda havia uma cama de solteiro na frente, bem próxima do teto, sobre a cabine do motorista. Ficaria completo se houvesse um banheiro com pia, vaso sanitário e chuveiro, mas isso já seria pedir demais em se tratando da plataforma de um Fusca... rs Dirigi-lo era uma experiência única, porém, exigia cautela nos primeiros quilômetros até ganhar confiança em sua estabilidade, aliás, ele era muito mais estável do que parece. Depois de alguns minutos atrás do volante se tem a sensação de estar guiando um Fusca. O único prejuízo fica por conta da limitada visibilidade traseira, comum em motorhomes, mas compensada pelos grandes espelhos retrovisores externos. Segundo alguns proprietários, o conforto durante uma viagem ficava comprometido por conta do barulho. Toda vez que se passava num buraco ou desnível ele rangia todo, isso sem falar do tradicional som do motor boxer dentro da “casa”. Outro detalhe é que quando se ultrapassava caminhões ou ônibus ele tremia todo. Mas nada de anormal para quem estava acostumado com viagem em motorhome. Outro fator que preocupava seus condutores era a pouca potência dos motores boxer que não ajudava manter a velocidade no ritmo do tráfego nas estradas, velocidade essa já prejudicada por causa da resistência do ar (roubava cerca de 10 km/h). Imagina esse pequeno detalhe num modelo equipado com motor de 1300 cilindradas. No que se refere às vendas, sabe-se que poucos foram produzidos, provavelmente menos de uma dúzia e pouquíssimos são os que se encontram em condição de circular. No Brasil não se sabe da existência de algum MiniHome. Fotos de um exemplar ano 1965. August 11, 2022 Kay's Mitchcraft Tiny Home Fort Collins, CO / ~500 Sq ft / $125,500+ Cute, cozy, and comfortable. Mitchcraft Tiny Homes has once again put together a jaw-dropping custom tiny house. This model measures 29' x 10'; bigger in width than what you normally see in tiny houses. But the extra space is no doubt a huge benefit. As you'll see in the photos below, the home is able to pack a lot into a limited amount of space. The home's kitchen has an L-shaped countertop that combines prep space and dining space for 2. There's a four-burner stove with a beautiful tile backsplash, a microwave, fridge, farmhouse sink, and open shelving. There are two bedrooms; a master bedroom that's accessible by storage stairs, and a secondary loft you can get to via ladder. The master bedroom impressively has a relatively sizeable closet with a stacked washer and dryer right next to it.
