The SFMTA Board of Directors has unanimously passed a resolution directing Muni management to evaluate using PCC streetcars to provide single-ride service long-term on the J-Church line. This was coupled with an order to return J-line LRV service to the Market Street subway as soon as possible, but it opens the door to a permanent switch to surface service on Market Street for the J using historic streetcars if the subway gets clogged up in the future.

Built 1917 by Duncan & Fraser in Adelaide for the Hawthorn Tramways Trust, it arrived Bendigo in 1935 and is now one of the fleet of 'Talking Trams'
